I did not have a good experience. I was in town with my 14 month old daughter from out of state for my grandmas funeral. Somewhere in my car I lost my ID. I had called ahead and gave them my card for payment. When i arrived the front desk said without my id I couldn't stay due to their most recent frequency of fraud. I told her my family was all staying here and asked her what i could do. She said she would need to speak with the general manager. I went back outside looking for my wallet. I came back in and asked for the general manager so we could find some solution. He came out and said I'm sorry ma'am I cant help you. We have had so much fraud. I told him all my family was there. I had pulled everything out of my wallet with my name on it, and was holding my 14 month old. He saw my checkbook on the counter and said i cant take your check either. I said I am not trying to pay with check. I'm looking for a solution so I can stay without finding my ID right now. He just repeated he couldn't help me. At that point I was so upset. I felt that was terrible service and he was on a power trip to make things at difficult for me as possible. I didn't understand why he wasn't suggesting other options. Like maybe a family member put my room in there name. I had more than enough cash to pay and if me staying in the room was a liability without my id, I had 15 plus family members staying there that could put the room in their name. Needless to say a family member walked up at the point and I said that's my family right there and i told my family member the man wont let me stay here and then the man completely changed his attitude and said he never said I couldn't stay. I was shocked and asked the man to get away from me. At that point i started crying from the frustration. I couldn't believe this general manager was so problem focused and wasn't solution focused. He sees me standing there with my baby and here for my grandmas funeral with my family staying there and continues to tell me sorry without your ID you cant stay. It made a sad day so much more difficult. I went back to my car and tore it apart thankfully finding my wallet and that was the only reason I could stay with my family according to this general manager. My cousin who had booked two rooms told me she wasn't asked for her ID at all. Aside from that I was not surprised to find the bathroom in the room i stayed in completely filthy. There was scum all over the fixtures and on the floor. There was a hold in the wall around the hair dryer which made me feel uncomfortable too. The only nice thing I can say about the stay was the breakfast was good. I would not stay at this best-western again. Very...
Read moreW.e stayed at this best western for my daughter's 4th birthday. Mainly to swim. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the hotel didn't have an elevator, so we had to walk up about 20 stairs, which was incredibly difficult for a disabled person like myself. On the 2nd floor was some food in a container that smelled really terrible. (The wife is pregnant and nearly got sick off the smell of this hallway) We arrived in our room and I immediately noticed the dirty carpet that had a strange smell as well. There aren't any comforters on the beds, only 2 White thin sheets on each bed. It was too cold to change to our swimming suits because the heat was turned off in the room (it's December). I could see my breath in the room. Dust flew out of the heater when we turned it on, and it's INCREDIBLY loud. Louder than my old window air conditioner. We got dressed and went down to the pool. There weren't ANY stairs to walk in the pool. Only ladders. Which was hard on me being disabled. After successfully entering the pool, I immediately noticed green slime covering the walls of the pool. And blue paint chips floating in the water from the pool walls. There wasnt a hot tub either(Ill add, the color of the water was green). My childs teeth were shuddering it was so cold in the pool area. We got out to ask if someone could possibly turn the thermostat up or turn the temperature of the water up, and the young woman at the front desk politely declined stating there was just no way she could do it. After swimming for awhile my daughter started to cry because she was so cold. So we went back to the room. We all took hot showers which was nice, however, I slipped and fell getting out of the shower because there was not a shower mat in the tub, which left it awfully slippery. There also was not a rail or anything to grasp onto in the bathroom. For 100 dollars a room, I truly expected better. I've stayed in many places, and this is by far the worst ever, for the amount of money that was charged. My daughter is only 4 so I think she had a good time (besides being cold to the point of crying). We are going to eat breakfast in the morning. So we'll see how it goes. I will definitely NEVER stay here again. I had a terrible experience. I really believe this hotel needs an upgrade, and training on cleanliness. My fellow guests that came with me absolutely agreed. Please take my advice and stay somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. This place is not where anyone would want to be. Im super dissatisfied and disappointed. The Hampton inn is right next door and is only 19 dollars more per...
Read moreO.k. so this is my 3rd stay in 3 weeks. Note that i am here for work and was booked here by my boss. Let's start with check in....it was a pleasant experience all three times. Though i noticed that only the third time was i asked for i.d. to prove i was me. So the first time i was in room 224. I asked how to get there easily and was given vague directions. I made it to my room (middle of the building). Upon entering i was pleased to find the room was very clean and smelled clean. Bonus for that! So i looked around and sawnothing outa sorts. Did notice they have a safe in the room by the door. That would be nice for travelers who have things that need safe keeping while out. I then went to shower....here is where it's odd. In room 224 and 118 the shower bottom felt as though there was a drop in tub used to remodel the room. It felt as though the floor of the tub was coming away from the old tub bottom. Like there was an air bubble under the floor. Not good for anyone with stability problems. Next was the toilet. In room 118 and 207 the toilet will only flush if you push down and hold the lever. In 224 it flushed normal. On thing to note is the toilets will need to flush twice to empty all material in it. Gross i know but necessary, sorry. There is a clothing line in the shower available in room 224 and 118. Room 207 has the line broken off at the reel. There is a shampoo and conditioner duspenser in shower if you bring your own shampoo and conditioner. I wouldn't use it as i don't know if it is cleaned. In room 207 it appears as though they didn't remodel correctly as a ring came away from the wall as you will see in the photos i post. Also the hand bar in the shower is very loose. I would not trust it could hold a person up if used. KEY THING TO NOTE....HOUSEKEEPING IS AWESOME HERE. they are very friendly and helpful with whatever you need. Would i stay here again. Probably if it is the cheapest stay. Though i would like the outside doors to lock. It is creepy knowing anyone can walk in the hotel without monitoring and do who knows what. So there ya go hope it helps let's see if u can post the pics i took. They are of...
