Lahaina Oceanfront Estate — Hotel in Maui

Pros gorgeous property spacious house, accommodates several families pool and hot tub are great (though running the hot tub may mean cold showers)

Cons kitchen furnishings feel much more like a run-down lake cabin than a $2400/night home. (warped/scratched pans, dull and damaged knives, range has no numbers/markings on dials so cooking is an adventure) Several people in our party stepped on broken glass in the house during the first 2 days of our stay, left behind from previous guests. We swept and washed floors. With 2 crawling babies, it was a hazard. After an 8-night stay renting out the entire estate, we requested a late afternoon checkout for one family w/ 3 small kids with a grueling flight schedule that night.
