A wonderfully cozy getaway that combined comfort and exquisiteness with modern luxury and and old-time feel. While at first you may not think much from the outside, the Neathery Estates certainly delivers from the moment you stand at the front door. Tiffany takes great care to ensure that you feel at home during your stay, from personalized envelopes with your own keys to both your suite, as well as the Estate, all the way down to candies in your room by the bed.
The entire stay was wonderful, and the rooms take you back to a time before everything was so fast-paced, while still providing modern amenities such as a smart TV (already connected to things like Netflix and Hulu), DVDs, and wifi. The decor & design is reminiscent of the late classic Colonial era, and you can feel the history in every piece of furniture and architecture. It has definitely had a modern touch applied, with the saltwater pool, downstairs social room (with mounted flatscreen TV and modern furniture), and wifi/streaming in the rooms. However, it is still very easy to slip away into your own world with the large themed rooms (with fantastic little nuanced touches), wonderfully giant tubs, great cozy beds (which are incidentally really hard to convince yourself to get out of, they're that comfy), and amazing food (which as an add-on, you can have delivered right to your door).
Overall, my wife and I had a fantastic stay here, and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a lovely little getaway to a scenic & historic location. Even if you never leave the room, you won't regret a moment of...

In particular, we appreciated the home's decor with its fresh modern aesthetics mixed with a respectful flavor of the home's history. We stayed in the Alexander Room. It is located on the second floor of this gorgeous home. It was airy with plenty of sunlight and had a comfortable bed that we slept so well in that we overslept 2 hours in the morning! The room and bathroom had everything we needed including a gorgeous claw-foot bed with bath salts ready for a soak, robes and fluffy towels. We could tell that both in the room and throughout the house that the innkeeper has a mind for hospitality and has sought to make her home an example of it.
The innkeeper met us at the door when we arrived, gave us a tour of her home and showed us the room. Outside there is a gorgeous pool with plenty of pool lounging beckoning one to sit back and relax. The innkeeper provided sound advice on exploring Mckinney. She was pleasant and struck a good balance of giving us privacy and being available. In the morning, breakfast in the morning was a filling, three courses including perfectly cooked bacon! My husband enjoyed the snack baskets around the house his late-night sweet tooth
This house is by far one of our favorite B&Bs that we have found and we are already planning another visit! We hope you have an enjoyable time as we did!

Read moreWe chose the Nethery Estate Bed and Breakfast for a belated Valentine's getaway and our expectations were certainly surpassed in every way imaginable.
We arrived on Saturday afternoon and a key was left for us to drop off our bags and get settled in to the home.
This home has been beautifully restored and the owner has taken the requisite time to ensure everything flows together once you enter the front door.
We had reserved the Alexander Suite, which also includes a gorgeous paneled library. The deep hues of purple used in this room certainly made us feel like royalty.
After settling in, we did a quick tour of the home and fell in love with the pool area at the edge of the back patio, but it was too cold to swim. However, that only gives us another reason for a return visit.
The beds and linens made for getting an exceptional night of rest.
The best part? The absolutely scrumptious breakfast that awaited our entrance to the dining room (and those long green curtains are the bomb!). Breakfast consisted of homemade biscuits and gravy, new golden potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and a piping hot cherry tartlet.
We cannot wait to make a return visit! Thanks for a wonderful weekend and your gracious...
