I want to say several things.
Pro: Very close to downtown and Methodist University Hospital. Decent rates, especially if you book on Hotels.com or another travel website. The rooms were clean and didn’t have any odor of pets (it is a pet-friendly motel). When the TV didn’t work, we were moved to a different room with no problems. Seemed to be pretty quiet for the one Wednesday night we were there. There are gates and a fence around the property that are not shown in the pictures above. It seemed a little safer to me, but if you don’t like fences, it could be a Con.
Con: I booked a handicap accessible room and didn’t get one. Even after moving us due to the TV problems, we didn’t get one. You cannot check in until 3:00 p.m. sharp. No one is in the lobby at all until then. This could cause a problem if your schedule doesn’t coincide. The lobby is not open. You have to check in via a bank teller tray. One customer ahead of me when checking in was inpatient after having to wait until 3, and the clerk cussed him out loudly. A teen approached our truck while waiting to check in, asking for “any kind of work to earn a couple of dollars for food for him and his brother.” He was alone and reeked of marijuana. (I have no problem with marijuana, but if he wasn’t smoking weed, he would have more money for food.). I feel this would have been avoided if the lobby was open. You must be out of the room by 11:00 a.m. sharp or you will be charged $50.00. We made sure to be out in time to not test that out, but the owners were hanging out by our room for at least 15 minutes before 11. They want to make sure you leave. No breakfast offered. Fortunately, there is a Burger King and McDonalds close by. Some of the sheets were stained, BUT they were clean and didn’t smell.
If we needed a clean place to sleep, I might stay...
Read morePaid more because I mixed up my reservation, and came 12 hours ahead. So instead of $50 per night I was charged $70 per night for 2 nights.
I'm currently staying here until Saturday July 12th I was in room 201, I immediately changed the room because the A/C is on but no air is coming out. Waited at least 20 minutes for the CSR to come back because he vanished, was calling out hello, knocking on the door. No response, I literally asked for my money back, but he changed the room instead. Moved to room 132, cigarette smoke saturates the room even though its a non-smoking room The top blanket on the bed has so many stains on it, its gross, and it looks like it has not been washed for some time stains on pillow case VERY OUTDATED A/C Unit and bathroom Fridge barely cools, and is filthy(has hair in it) Stains all over the walls, curtains and doors cigarette smoke coming from the AC so bad that I had to spray perfume in the room to try and mask the stink smell The rooms need to be cleaned, daily housekeeping should be mandatory unless the current occupied guest opt out. But the rooms are not clean. The toilet, sink and shower were not cleaned in both rooms Urine smell in room.. im not sure if its the bed or the ac blowing the sheets causing the smell. Im too tired to change the room again. wifi was down so the card system was not working, had to go get cash. did not mind not paying a card processing fee. Wifi began going in and out during the day bed bugs You can only feel the A/C standing directly in front of it. It doesnt cool the entire room
Pros its gated wifi works best at night/early morning microwave bed is soft Located near shopping places lots of parking
I arrived at 1:30am, mixed up my reservation, so i was beyond exhausted. I will never book here again, lol I can assure...
Read moreI went to motel 6 downtown at 210 s pauline st september 22 between 6 and 7 PM. I asked for towels (because there were none that were clean and there was a dirty and crusty towel hanging from the shower rod) around 8pm and the guy at the front desk told me someone would come upstairs and bring them to me. I waited an hour and no one came. As I was inspecting the room I could tell that no one had cleaned the room properly after the previous person who stayed there. I noticed and killed 4 roaches, the dirty used towel on the shower rod, the phone was ripped from the wall and left on the floor surrounded by debris, mold in the bathroom, and stains on the bed. When I went downstairs to express my concerns and requested to be placed in a different room, the man at the front desk shouted, " You can just find somewhere else to stay! I am taking 20.00 off and you will get the rest in 3 to 5 business days!" As I was scheduling another lyft to another hotel, a man who also was staying on the 3rd floor came and expressed the same concern that he did not have any towels and the room was dirty. The man at the front desk shouted at him as well and told him to find somewhere else to stay. I left the motel at 9:32PM. Present day (September 24th) I receive a notification from my bank showing that instead of 20.00 being taken, they took 72.94. I spoke to Patel at the motel 6 at 10:37 and he stated I need to talk to a manager in the morning and he doesn't handle these situations. I am highly upset at the level of disrespect and rudeness I was shown repeatedly by the staff. I will continue to express my concern until this situation is...
