Deli Midtown — Restaurant in Memphis

Deli Midtown is a crazy gem tucked away in the back of a university clinical hospital food court. Located in the 920 Madison Building on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center campus, it can be easy to miss amongst the hustle and bustle of the lobby area which also has a Starbucks and Chik-Fil-A, neither of which can even remotely compete with the quality, price, and taste of the food served at Deli Midtown. All the food is hand made to order and is as aesthetically pleasing as it is tasty. They have everything from soups and sandwiches, to large delicious salads, large beef hotdogs (The Mac Chicago is the best), wraps, you name it. Desserts are bomb too with lemon bars, Heath bar cookies, brownies and cake. They also serve breakfast and have a delicious lox bagel. The owner is a fantastic lady who runs a team that work well together. They also do caterings and no one is ever disappointed. I definitely recommend trying them out if you have to come to UTHSC for the Hamilton Eye Institute or other clinical appointment... or just come by and try it without an appointment. The food court is open...
