Menifee Inn — Hotel in Menifee

Do not stay here! Please help me put them out of business or at least get something to change!!

I have stayed here a few different times… Every time we stay here the front desk lady is the same person.. she is always extremely rude!

She charges us a $100 deposit every time we stay here… I think that is because she does not like us… there was a situation that happened during our first stay…

We got moved from a smoking room to a non smoking room because the room we were originally given .. we couldn’t get into. I’m pretty sure there were some people squatting in there.. Menifee inn refused to do anything about the squatters, apparently squatting inside one of their rooms is fine by them.. anyways, I was a little annoyed at the situation and at Menifee inn because they just didn’t seem to care nor did they want to do anything to help the situation. Their solution was to move us to a different room (mind you, we wanted a smoking room but had to settle for a non smoking room).

I spent way too much money on a room that was not worth it, only to get moved to a non smoking room because Menifee inn is too lazy to do anything about squatters… anyways, the front desk lady now hates us because she says I was rude during that situation.. I might have had a little attitude but I didn’t yell or raise my voice and it was a very quick encounter. Anyways, now when we stay here my boyfriend always has to convince her to let us get a room… and if I tried to rent one from her, she would not let me at all.

Anyways, other issues during our stays..

They have outlets that are hardly attached to the walls because they are coming out… almost like they are being pulled out of the wall… there are wires every where, clearly a fire hazard… and probably a code violation or something in there too.

couldn’t even watch TV this time (see screenshot)…

one time we stayed here, we actually had to call the front desk lady to find out where our TV remote was and she looked for it and eventually brought it to us because she had found it (outside of our room… not sure what it was doing there…)

The rooms are always dirty - dust, dirt, cobwebs, everywhere!

This time, our bath tub was missing the plug/water stopper-which really sucked because my daughter wanted to take a bath…

Our smoke detector was taken apart and off the wall. It was literally just sitting on the counter (see screenshot). Pretty sure that is illegal.

There are holes in the mirrors frame. Many holes in the walls.. It is just gross inside these rooms... every time..

Menifee inn has gone down the drain as of lately. They stopped caring or something. They hardly clean these rooms or the property. the shower curtains, window curtains, bed sheets, box springs, etc, all have many gross stains that look like they’ve been there for many years…

Oh and I’m pretty sure there is some kind of animal poop at the bottom of the pool. And not just one or two pieces. And I noticed this last time I stayed here and again this time. I even spent time cleaning the pool last time before I allowed my daughter to get inside.

Oh and the AC unit turns on and will run but I swear, none of them work because it never cools the room down.

Oh and I paid for two overly priced cans of soda at the vending machine and I first tried for Dr. Pepper and was given Diet Coke then I tried for sprite and was given Coke.

Oh and last time we stayed here… they refused to give us extra towels. They said they didn’t have any more….

Oh and I can sort of understand all of these issues if I’m spending $70 or less on a room. However, their rooms are always over $100, plus they make us pay the $100 deposit as well so at the time of getting the room, we putting down over $200 for a place with these many issues!!

I can go on and on but I think I’ve made my point…

Please help me! They need to be shut down or bought out or something so some changes can be made!

Oh and they refuse to let you reserve a room online or over the phone. You can’t actually reserve a room or pay for your room...

I walked in lobby around 1:30am and lady was helpful and let me get a room. I had to pay a $50 deposit that would be returned after checking the room the next day, no worries at all! Around 8pm next day, my $50 was back in my account. :) Anyways, room was nice, great wood flooring, comfy big bed, bed wasn't squeaky which imo is the worst! Lol. TV was decent size. Only thing I didn't really like were the show/movie options. The majority of channels say "TO BE ANNOUNCED". Then the ones that do have something playing, not a huge selection to pick from. But I didn't go there for the TV anyways, but just saying. Anyways, checked out easily around 8am. Was very pleased with room price and everything else and I would recommend. (Oh and I did see they had a pool that looked clean but didn't...

The lady at the front desk was so rude to me. I went to the front desk and asked if I can get the room another night and she had a very bad attitude and rude tone and said you didn't pay your deposit and I said yes I did. She said that's a lie because u booked online and I said no I paid with card right here at the desk. I asked why are you being so rude and asked her name so I can speak to the manager and she said the manager knows who is working. I said I'll just go somewhere else. So now because she was rude and I'm not ok with that, I have to go find another place to stay. I honestly have never been so polite and treated so badly. She was so rude and snapping her neck. Very unprofessional and I will be going to motel 6 down the street...
