We're glad we tried this new Indian restaurant (first ever) in Menifee. The restaurant is on Encanto Road with McCall being the closest main cross street. It's in the outdoor shopping center right next door to the medical supplies store.
It's a small mom & pop shop. There are a few tables inside where you can eat. It wasn't busy when we came in around 5;30pm.
I felt they were very reasonably priced. They have combos you can order starting at $11.45. Each combo comes with something extra. The best value would be the 3 item (in my opinion). It comes with garlic Naan bread, rice, and samosa. It's a great deal compared to other Indian restaurants I've been to. A lot of them do not even have combos. I just wished they had more vegetable entrees to choose from for the combo (like spinach or eggplant). I like that their Naan bread is the doughy and not the hard crunchy kind-- plus they do not charge extra for the garlic Naan. That's a big plus. Their butter chicken and chicken Tikka masala taste really good. We also tried their palak paneer (it's like a cream of spinach with cheese). It taste great together with the chicken or with just the Naan bread.
The young gentleman that helped us was very friendly and helpful. He let us sample some of the dishes that are part of the combo.
You can also order individual entrees-- which is also more reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants in Temecula. I saw that they sold pizzas here also. Maybe we can venture off to try them when we return.
I'm also glad that they have more dessert options (but they haven't posted it on their menu) They're inside a refrigerator inside their restaurant. I would not have known until I asked.
There's a lot of parking. We'll definitely come back to try...
Read moreExceptionally great bargain for the quantity and quality of food. We had meal for two with their combo 2 offer which was about 13 each and it included rice with 2 curry and an order of garlic naan. The Afghani chicken curry was creamy and the chicken was tender, the butter chicken was great ,the chickpeas and the chicken tikka masala was well balanced. The thing that I liked the most about the restaurant was they give you samples to try on so you can taste what you are getting before ordering the whole meal. The people on the counter were great and always asking if you would want some extra curry so your rice wont be dry. Unlike other Indian restaurants that we frequently visit, the food here was very light ie they use less oil in the preparation and you don’t get that acidity or bloating. It’s a quick eat and go place with foods that are prepared and kept real hot so you come grab and go or dine in. Hats off to the people who are at the counter, really friendly and good hearted people. Someone in front of the line wanted a veterans discount and the guy just discounted him 10 dollars, no one does that. That gesture just says the guy is a good hearted man and I wish this place all the best and definitely I would without any doubt recommend this place to anyone seeking punjabi style...
Read moreThis food was so good!!! I didn't put any salt at all😂 and their garlic naan was the best I ever had I also think for as much food as they give you their prices were perfect everything including my soda was still under $20 and so maybe not Arab money but Indian money is good enough😂😂😂😂 I had the goat and the lamb which was amazing a little bit of my heart wish I got the butter chicken but I stepped out of my comfort zone and was pleasantly surprised how good and how much food and naan they gave just a word to the wise keep the container balanced and not tipping over or you are going to be mad it almost happened to me but I caught it in time but I know if somebody didn't that would have sucked. I also have to warn people about the goat that it does have bones that remind you of like smaller oxtails so you have to be a little careful but the meat itself is amazing and I had to edit my post because this is the next morning and that bread was still fire so they definitely have the best naan and I know this is Indian food but it reminds me of some African food that I've tried I know black people would love the goat it tastes just like oxtails but with like special kind of spices...
