If I could give 0 stars I would! Nothing was good about this restaurant 😓🤬 The hostess was condescending & showed no compassion or remorse regarding our experience and to say to a customer “ it’s 1st come 1st serve” & “there’s nothing we can do about it, we’re very busy tonight” when I asked why tables were being served b4 ours when we were seated 1st, her answer was ridiculous & unacceptable! And that’s after we had been there for 90 minutes of which we had ordered our food 45 minutes prior and still hadn’t received it. She also had said the wait time would be 20 minutes and we weren’t seated until we’d been waiting 45 minutes. There was 4 adults, a 2 yr old and an 8 month old. After an absolute horrible meal, of which the waitress was super inattentive and barely checked on us before, during or after, gave us a $98.00 chk with an auto gratuity!?! When I asked why, she said “we always charge gratuity on parties of 6 or more”…..mind you, we ordered 4 meals, (2 salads a sandwich & Mac & cheese, a side of french fries and a side of avocado) I asked again, why would you consider us a table of 6? She said the fries and the side of avocado were “meals for the babies so that’s 6 people…. Therefore that’s our policy” My answer was “that is ridiculous”, I went ahead & paid the chk with “their undeserving tip” and left totally appalled with the service as well as disgusted with the poor quality of food, ( the cheesesteak sandwich was so salty it was inedible, the buffalo chicken salad, the lettuce tasted wilted/old and the chicken was rubbery and tasted undercooked, neither of which was eaten and the rudeness of the hostess & waitress topped it all off as the worst meal & experience ever. Not to mention it was a 2 hour ordeal …. We will not be going back to this restaurant ever & I would say the reviews that gave them 4 & 5 stars are fake reviews, there is no way “real people” had such experiences, This place was awful & the owner should look for new mgmt,...
Read moreWhen to gramercy last night and we were, ok with it. As a former cook for gramercy, I can say that the quality and care put forth into the preparation of the food is lacking and has deminished greatly since I worked there. I understand they are under new management and chef, but that should NEVER change the effort put into the food. Everything seemed, rushed. The tortillas on the Thai chicken tacos were barely warm and colored. The gramercy sandwich was spilling out of the sides ( more on the plate than in between the bread.) the cheesesteak was great but the bread was under grilled and seemed far greasier than it should. We also decided to order a pizza that we build before we left. I was informed that “pizzas were about 10-15 minutes out” after 7 minutes the pizza was delivered to our table. Bahhh. The pizza was barely, BARELY colored. Closer to raw dough than cooked. Too much cheese that wasn’t througholy melted. The bacon and chicken was sparsely scattered with very little. An ABUNDANCE of red onions, jalapeños and pineapple. Again, seeming rushed. Overall the coustomer service lacked on behalf of the hostesses. I had to ask for silverware and napkins... after we received our appetizers. Our server on the other had was great and sold me a beer that I was happy with. Giving with who he was working with (an awful amount of teens,) he did his best. The food still had that same great classic Gramercy taste but, damn. I wish I could say more nice things about it. It was also verrrrry loud. I think due to the open ceiling design; maybe invest in some sound...
Read moreThis Meridian restaurant used to be known as Gramercy Park Pizza & Grill. In August 2021, due to the labor shortage, and to serve their guests more efficiently with less staff, they made the decision to remove all pizza and pastas from their menu at this time. I’m sad to hear that because they had a unique pizza on their menu that I loved,The Jolly Green Giant. Their current menu has some new items, as well as some old favorites.
Idaho Cheesesteak ($14) - Slow cooked pot roast served on a hoagie roll with caramelized onion, your choice of cheese (American, Cheddar, Swiss or Pepper Jack), black pepper aioli. Served with house cut fries. Substitute sweet potato fries ($1.50) or half Hidden Valley or Caesar salad ($2.50).
The Idaho Cheesesteak, while not traditional, is one of my very favorite menu items at Gramercy Park. I get it with house cut fries.
Highly Recommended!!!
