Where to start with these apartments. Initially everything was great, Amber is a great leasing agent and very nice and helpful. The rest of the staff however was very poor. - Sara Bauer. Worst property manager I've seen in awhile, and I work in a job where I meet tons of property managers. She refuses to communicate any sort of discrepancy via e-mail (or writing in general). She stated she is not obligated to respond to emails nor is she obligated to communicate with me via email (I wanted what she said on the record, alas, shes to sly for that). She entered my apartment multiple times (once while I was in the shower) without notice. Despite the lease saying they would attempt to contact you multiple times. - Noise. Of all kinds. If it wasn't a rap concert evening, then it was the elderly listening to tv on max volume. Note that the walls are INCREDIBLY thin. I could hear my neighbors having regular conversations from two rooms away through the wall. - Creaky floors. You and your neighbors. I couldn't walk through the doorway to my bedroom without a extremely loud creaking. - Icy Sidewalks. My sidewalk was literally just a straight sheet of ice out of my apartment for a solid week after we got snow/ice storm. - Laundry Room. If you plan to lease, look at the laundry room first. Mine was kept in the unfinished basement area of my building. So you essentially walk down into a damp gross dungeon area that is constantly flooding and has dirty and debris all over the floor. So bring a flashlight, sometimes bring your rain boots, and NEVER drop anything on the ground unless you want to rewash it. - Evictions/Police. Eviction notices EVERYWHERE. My immediate neighbor actually skipped out on their lease because they couldn't be at that location any longer. Further, lots of police stops, and not the courtesy patrol kinds. - Staff. I feel I should touch on the staff again. This little story should explain. The time was about 5:32, I had been locked out of the laundry room and needed a spare key. I walk into the clubhouse, the large blonde leasing agent girl was sitting there in the office texting, doesn't look up when I explain I was locked out and needed a key. She said "we're closed." and that was pretty much it, I had to knock on doors and ask neighbors...
Read morelived here for almost a year now. My lease is up in December and I'm searching else where. The complex is really nice. The property is very decent and peaceful. I will have to agree with the other comments. Some of the workout machines hardly worked or is out of order. We had roaches the first day we moved in. (Seen one coming from the door into our apartment) We had several in our kitchen. We had to get roach powder and scrubed our kitchen and poured the powder around the refrigerator, cabints, and counters, kitchen drawers. (Mainly in the kitchen.) Unfortunately, we still had roaches. Once the pest control sprayed behind the stove, we haven't seen any after the 2 months. I would state that the management do have an attitude problem. It seemed like they were going to die by making us a key to our mailbox because we told them we didn't receive it when we moved in. The neighbors are extremely nice. Helped us move in. Informed us when our lights were on. I'm not going to complain about the parking. (The property is huge) The walls are thin. At first we didn't think it would be an issue until it seemed like people were coming into our apartment, so we checked (as we were in our bedroom) and noticed that our neighbor was opening/walking into hers. They have police checking the neighborhood at night and throughout the day which is a plus when we come in at nights. Rent is cheap, ($600 for a master bedroom.(great size and sq ft) the only reason why we're looking else where is because we want something bigger. We found 2 bed 1 bath for $562 and it's a 4.5 star property. If you want something and have your mind set.. keep looking. What your looking for is out there. I would recommend this property (even though we had roaches.. We got rid of them.( which is shocking) at the end of the day, we had no major...
Read moreTheir outrageous behavior warranted an update for my review. I cannot rate them low enough.
I was not originally going to renew, but I suffered an ankle injury and would not be able to move in time, so I went to inform them (still within the decision window) that I would like to renew for one more year. They informed me that they had decided FOR ME that I could not renew. They cited a prior email communication as the reason, where I was attempting to negotiate a lower renewal cost because of their outlandish increase amount.
They will not listen to you. They do not care about you. They only care about money, which they will take with a smile on their face until they decide you aren't their ideal tenant and then they will discard you. They treated it like I was complaining about a fast food order, transferring me around before I could finally speak with Valerie, where she informed me in a pleasant tone that "Unfortunately they had decided for me". That decision is not theirs to make. I am considering suing them. They gave me a window and then ripped it away on a whim.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: What was once a decently priced and accommodating unit with minimal management intervention has turned into a nightmare. They increased prices by hundreds to help pay off a plethora of unnecessary renovations that most of the tenants did not want and will not use, removed half the dumpsters and are now citing people for having too much trash. I feel like I'm fighting for my home weekly. They are unprofessional and will seek out and invent infractions, claim any actual issue is much more problematic as it is, and then threaten eviction. All they do is threaten you. The units themselves are largely quite nice, but it's not worth the treatment. Find someplace else. You will be...
