If you’re security conscious stay away from this hotel. I decided to stay here because of the good reviews but this hotel turned into a nightmare. I stayed here for my vacation because I needed relaxation and I wasn’t feeling well. Now imagine sleeping, hearing someone tussling with your door and thinking it’s your husband, you jump up called your husband to ask if he’s at the door but it’s not him. You got up and check and its solicitations at the door. Call the front desk and you’re told that you can point the person out for them. Imagine paying for a stay and having to do security work for them. Then you’re told to put the privacy hook on the door. So when the hook is on the door no one cleans your room because they’re thinking you want privacy. I did that and guess what? Still got up to notices at my door. They’re saying to move rooms but will moving solve the issues? What if it keeps happening in another room? It’s one way in and out. Like how hard is it to see who’s walking around with a bunch of flyers? Like how can you tell your guest, Oh you don’t really know who it is? Like what’s up with the camera? I don’t need to be jumping out my sleep my pizza solicitations. I did not pay for this. The rooms were clean and spacious and the ladies were great. I just think security sucked. Who wants to hear someone at their door at all hours of the night. Oh and our keys stopped working every day. Every day we had to change keys. They said it’s our phones but even the one in my bag didn’t work and I didn’t have my Phones with me. So that more made me feel unsafe

The staff was nice and the location was good. I’ve stayed in a best western before and figured this would be fine. but it wasn’t. my sheets had some stains on them. they were small but stains nonetheless. so I slept in my clothes from the airport because I didn’t trust it. it was late and my flight was early so I didn’t bother asking for new sheets. I stayed on the first floor with an accessible room. the problem is that the floor in the hall is tile so you can hear everything and it sounded like people were dropping things all night. it could have been doors closing. I’m not sure. but it wasn’t restful at all. and this place is crazy over priced for a best western that isn’t even nice. It was definitely giving motel vibes and I don’t like that. I think best westerns in other locations are nicer. But it’s fine for a layover. Next time I’ll probably find somewhere else. $171 for a best western is crazy but its what was available. The accessibility seemed okay, however it’s not something I need, the doors seemed wide enough if you had a walker or wheelchair. It’s nice that they had a seat in the shower but I would think that one that was bolted to the wall or floor would be better. And the room was wide enough to use a walker or wheelchair on each side of the bed.

I have mixed feelings for this place. They recognized my status but didn't offered any points or snacks as usually happens at other BW. There were lots of broken things in the room that had to be reported multiple times eg. Phone, toilet paper holder , etc. The location is great if you need to be near the airport. The shuttle bus can be helpful. The staff are indifferent, I was left waiting at the front desk while they did whatever they were busy with, staff with cargo didn't wait until guest were on the elevators. The housekeeping knocked on my door at 8am Saturday morning to see if I needed cleaning.

Without a doubt the absolutely worst hotel experience I have ever had. The staff was no my only completely incompetent, but completely rude to guests for no reason, basic things you would expect from a hotel stay (house keeping service, clean towels, toilet paper) were not provided and when I called the front desk to inquire about this ( after running out of toilet paper and not receiving an my housekeeping service after 3 nights) I was flatly told that’s ‘not their job’ and hung up. I tried to call the housekeeping number from the hotel phone and was redirected to the same person at the front desk who is hung up on me. I was then told that it was ‘procedure’ that the rooms were only cleaned every 5 nights and that if I needed something to go down and get it myself. On top of this, I’ll add that this hotel is home to absolutely slowest elevators on earth. I’m not exaggerating when I say to go down and back up from the lobby to the seventh floor took a solid ten minutes. Additionally, every single day of my stay my key card would stop working for no apparent reason, adding even a further inconvenience.

The room itself was big, but extremely poorly laid out. I stayed in one of the king suites. The air conditioning was ridiculously strong and I could not turn it down any. The room also had a faint, unpleasant odor. The mini fridge was broken and constantly leaking.

The pool wasn’t bad but small and constantly busy. The elliptical I used in the fitness center felt like it was about to break when I used it.

I would strongly discourage any one from booking here if they can avoid it. Personally, I enjoyed my time in Miami but the experience I had at this hotel made my trip significantly less enjoyable from the rudeness of the staff to the inconvenience caused by my key card not working, having to go down at 3am in the worlds slowest elevator to receive something as basic as toilet paper. I didn’t expect top notch service, but personally when I travel I do expect the bare minimum when I stay at a hotel that’s rated as being 4 stars. The rate was good but I would have absolutely spent more to have a...

All in all, the rooms and the facility were very good. My room was quiet and clean. If it weren’t for my two big problems, I would rate it 5.

However, like others have commented, one elevator was out of service when I arrived. It was no problem getting me and my 47 pound bag up to the 7th floor. Unfortunately, when I headed out to catch the early shuttle for the airport, both elevators were out of service, requiring me to work my suitcase down 7 flights of stairs. Fortunately, I am fairly fit for 77 years old, but, it was a struggle and I travel alone.

Others have also commented on my other big issue: the communication about their shuttle from the airport. When you call, the transportation recording states that their van is white with black lettering with the name of their hotel on it and the BW logo. They also state what doors they stop at and to just flag them down. They do let you know about when to expect them, saying they’re about 15 minutes away and leave the hotel once every hour on the half hour from 6:30 a.m. to about 10:00. I waited and watched at Door #7 for an hour and a half, calling twice and being told the van driver would be asked to return. As it turned out, the van had a BW logo on it along with a Holiday Inn Express logo, but no mention of the BW at Miami International Airport. The first time the driver came by, I asked if this was the van for this hotel and he said no. So, after another hour, with this same van going by and no other BW van, I called again and he came by again and I asked again if he was the BW I wanted since I had seen no other van. He showed me a piece of paper that hadn’t been displayed, asking if the addresses he had on it was one of the hotels I wanted. I said yes and got in with others who were complaining about the failed communication on the recording.

Update: I have heard from the manager and a discount has reduced the charge on my account. I appreciate the...

Upon arrival to the hotel with my wife and 7 year old daughter were the only ones in the lobby to be checked in. It took 30 minutes to finally reach our room (we did a lot of waiting). We were told that there was no housekeeping at the moment and would need to contact the front desk if we needed anything because they were having a high turn over rate. Also we were hit with a surprise $12 parking fee in order to park there. When we got into the room there was NO towels, soap, shampoo and just 1 roll of toilet paper. My wife called the front desk and was told that she needed to come downstairs to get all these things. Some of the walls in the corners of the bed had a small layer of dust as if they never dust the rooms at all. One of the headboards on the beds had some dirty staining that I thought was maybe damaged but when I grabbed a napkin with some water I was able to wipe it right off. The rooms are not very sound proof at all as you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways along with people just closing their doors. At night time when we were going to bed I kept hearing some cracking noise. When I decided to find out what it was I discovered that there was about a 3ft crack of water coming thru the roof and the noise was water hitting the carpet. It was 3am in the morning and I did not want to call the front desk because I knew they would just move us and I did not want to have to move all of our stuff to another room. at 3:30am me and my wife could not sleep so we decided to just leave! when I started to go downstairs in the hallway there was 6-8 large bags of garbage just sitting on the side of the wall with no one in site. Almost as if people were just throwing there trash in one pile. When I went downstairs to check out I told the front desk lady her roof was leaking she offered to change rooms but I declined and I just wanted to leave! I would never recommend someone go to...
