My workplace recently ordered lunch from this spot for the entire office, and it was absolutely delicious. Some coworkers even went back on their own and described it as a “hole in the wall with very limited space,” but despite that, I was excited to try it with my family.
When we arrived, the place was empty, which I took as a good sign since there were two tables and chairs available — I assumed we could dine in. Unfortunately, that’s when things started to go downhill. The man working didn’t greet us. When he finally acknowledged us, he told us to wait. I figured he might be working alone, so I waited patiently. Eventually, he asked if I was ready to order, and just as I began, he stopped to help two delivery drivers who had just walked in.
When he returned to take my order, he started arguing with another man who was preparing food. I asked a question about one of the dishes, and he responded with clear annoyance and zero interest in helping. After I paid, he walked away without another word.
We sat down thinking we’d eat there, but when he called me over to pick up our order, he handed us a paper bag. I asked if it was okay to eat there, and he bluntly said it was carry-out only. We left, disappointed but still looking forward to enjoying the food at home.
Sadly, that didn’t happen. When we opened the bag, we found pita bread with visible mold. That was the final straw. I paid for food that ended up in the trash.
The food might be good when catered, but the customer service was awful, and serving moldy bread is inexcusable. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place after such...
Read moreIt’s a primarily take out restaurant so the atmosphere isn’t great. There are two scrupulously clean benches that seat three and a counter to sit at. Aside from that which they have no control over, there is a LOT of parking beside the restaurant at Presidente and at another lot behind the restaurant. You can walk in through a back door right into the restaurant from the back parking lot. FOOD. THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE!! My husband had the lamb chops platter and I had shish tawook (chicken wrap) with a small hummus. Everything was very very delicious. The portions were good sized. The food was prepared excellently. The lamb was ordered medium rare and that’s how it came. The rice and salad that came with it was delicious. The hummus is divine. I was sad thought that the pita served with hummus is cold and pre-wrapped though. Warmed pita would have been perfection. Speaking of perfection, the BAKLAVA is the best I’ve ever tasted. I’m 50 and my grandparents were Lebanese. I’ve had a lot of baklava. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST. You have to buy a piece. Do yourself a favor. The service is good. The food comes out fast and is well prepared. This is a gem for this...
Read moreI'm so thankful to have found this little gem in my neighborhood. Pros: Food was ready for pickup just 20 min after the order. Portions were generous. Food was not only fresh but prepared with honest ingredients. Nothing processed here. Service with a smile. Very much appreciated. Cons: my stomach is too small to get all the food I want to try here.
Bottom line: order with confidence!!
Details. I ordered the falafel wrap, fries, tabouleh and all the desserts so we can give each a try. The wraps were big and the falafels were generous and fresh. Plenty of fresh cut delicious veggies. The tabouleh was AMAZING, fresh and so well prepared!! Had plenty left over for tomorrow. The best part of the whole meal, I have to say, were the desserts. The rice pudding and the meghli were so different and distinctly flavoured desserts they are a must try. When you eat them you can taste the care put into their making. But, the star of the show is the Baklava... This is NOT a mass made Baklava. The Baklava was just a joy to experience. Thank you to whoever is making these little masterpieces.
Try this place when you want to travel through your taste...
