Let me start with when you first walk in, definitely not what you would think from the outside in the best way possible. Amazing little smoking dive bar with a cozy atmosphere! 2 pool tables, a dart board, live music that wasn’t terrible for once. We got a spot at the bar with one of the best bartenders I have had in a longgg time. Drew is the man, on top of everything, never had to wait long for refills. With a full bar, it’s expected to have a couple minutes until you’re served but he was so attentive to every one. Now let’s talk about the food, reading the reviews before we went I saw so many people raving about the cheesesteaks and wings so that’s exactly what I got. Hands down best cheesesteak I’ve had in awhile and it was huge! Wings were super crispy just the way they should be. We also got a patty melt and it was everything a patty melt should be, and again one of the best ones we’ve had in awhile. I highly highly recommend going here if you’re looking for amazing food and great drinks. Also, if Drew is working, you’ll...
Read more2 thumbs down on my experience there. It started out good until the shift change on Saturday 9/16/23. The new bartender was Carolyn, she was to busy sitting at the bar having a cigarette instead of being behind the bar. I hate having to flag down a bartender and know its rude but how long do I have to wait to be noticed I was empty? She didn't know how to speak to people. Then there was the lady without any teeth who ran the kitchen. She was like the soup Nazis. She also didn't seen to know how to serve or talk to people. She claimed to be the manager and would fuss about everything. Felt like she was in the wrong business. She be a better security guard. The mens room was disgusting. When ever the door opened you could smell urine at the bar. I like dive bars, but this is way below a dive bar. I was planing on spending Sunday there as well but after my experience with that 2nd shift I spent Sunday at The Polo Club 2 blocks down at the hotel. Much much nicer there. Also a smoking bar...
Read moreThis little tavern is the epitome of a stereotypical dive bar...and it's fantastic! It's got a terrific dark, hazy atmosphere with a couple of TVs, TouchTunes and friendly bartenders. Live music on Friday evenings and karaoke on Saturday. They serve traditional bar fare along with Pulled-Pork BBQ and Brisket, as well as stiff drinks, all at an affordable price. They do allow indoor smoking, which is clearly posted on the front door, as you enter, but as a non smoker, it was tolerable, and certainly didn't inhibit me from having an enjoyable time. The tavern is conveniently located within walking distance of two major truck stops, so as a truck driver, it's a great little hole-in-the-wall spot to visit while on our breaks. They also have truck parking available in the rear lot - probably enough for six or eight trucks, if everyone parks appropriately. We met some amazing folks on our visit, and will certainly stop back when overnightimg...
