Visited last night for the first time with my husband. It was 7:08pm when we first walked in and we saw signs for happy hour daily till 8pm
We asked for a bar menu and asked about the happy hour, come to find out the guy said HAPPY HOUR DOESN'T INCLUDE ALCOHOL I was like whaaaaaat???? There was somewhat of a language barrier so my husband said it's fine we'll still get a couple drinks...upon requesting a Long Island tea for each of us the waiter said no your husband should have the Long Island tea and you should have a blue breeze And next round you guys will alternate drinks
I thought how annoying but whatever went along with what he recommended
Chicken tikka masala was great but again at the time of trying to order a few extra naan the lady said hmm that's too much for you and she said I think you should only do 3 naan 😂😂😂 keep in mind we're truck drivers and we knew we weren't going to finish all the food, we always like to have extra naan since it's going to be to go
At this point I was even more annoyed At the end I wanted dessert to go so I asked if they had a type of rice pudding he said no we only have kheer but it's not rice pudding which I googled and it turns out it's just that 🙄
At the time of paying I found it weird that we had to do two transactions One for the food and one for the alcoholic beverages I'm not sure if this is so that everyone gets their own tip but it's strange Also the drinks on the receipt were $18 each when in the menu the prices were different I was completely frustrated at this point and I just wanted to leave Stop telling customers what they should and shouldn't get only to overcharge from what the menu...
Read moreI used to work in the Harrisburg and Carlisle area and I remember the region to be a food and restaurant desert. I'm heartened to see that it's changing and this restaurant is phenomenal.
We're originally from the Lehigh Valley area and go out in Manhattan and Philadelphia a lot. The wife had the chicken Tikka and it was better than what we've had in the city. The samosas and paratha were also amazing. We ordered the food "Indian mild" spice level and it was warm and hearty the way we wanted it.
Edit: we got the rice pudding. Don't think just get it.
The staff were absolutely charming and attentive. They have a full bar and looks like on top of Yuengling on draft (it was a little flat but okay) there's bottles of Laphroig, Tanquerey, etc so they have more than bottom shelf liquors.
We got extra paratha to go. Currently debating dessert.
To be honest this could be a $30-$40 a plate in the city and they'd command that price point. You can ignore the fact it's practically attached to a Days Inn. I consider that a benefit in...
Read moreNot sure how this place has such a high rating??? My First overall experience was not great. Dined in 8-5-25 1PM. A guy came over took my order. I asked if the chi tea on the menu was hot or cold. He said cold so I ordered it. He came back with 2 sodas ($3 per can). I said I wanted the tea. The lady that works there came over and I reconfirmed my order with her. My Chicken Bryani was to be spicy and my kids Ck Tica Marsala was to be low spice. Order came out. Ck Tica Marsala was spicy and Ck Bryani not spicy. I wound up eating Ck Tika Marsala as my kid didn't want to eat spicy. Tea came out was hot no problem. Also had 2 orders of Garlic Nan. The amount of food that we received was very little. The dishes it came in were pretty small. Total was over $60 for 2 people with very little bring home. I would suggest driving the extra mile to some other establishment to try their food as you will probably find out you will be disappointed here 😞. I eat alot of Indian Food and have been to many places. This by far is on the not...
