Meat Lodge — Hotel in Mitchell

We've been meaning to stop in here for awhile to see what they offer, and I'm sad I didn't do it sooner. We have a subscription to butcherbox, and I'm pretty sure we're going to cancel that now. The Meat Lodge has all kinds of not only beef, but bison, pork, and seafood (frozen) as well, all for a really good price. Easily comparable, if not cheaper than, our subscription.

I bought some peppered bacon bits and ends and they were amazing. The thick cut bacon is delicious, and the steaks were, hands down, some of the best I've had in awhile (def. thicker and way more tasty than the subscription box stuff!) I grabbed a few 4 oz lobster tails at $9 each and they were a nice change from normal SD food fare. I have tried the beef sticks I bought yet, but my hubby says they're fantastic, and even though I'm not a bison fan, I loved the bison summer sausage!

this place is great! they have a wide variety of exotic meats there at decent prices, and my experience was made even more pleasant by the dark haired guy behind the counter offering to help me find anything and answer any questions. when I did ask questions, he was quick to give me proper answers. very respectful, and great service.
