Puerto Vallarta Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Mitchell

We went second day of opening at 5pm. We had chips and salsa and ordered queso. Which came out fast and hot. The queso was very delicious. We ordered two drinks a mango margarita which came with a beautiful dried orange slice and a drink made with house beer with mint which were delicious! Those also came out fast. Our sever was very nice, accommodating and went above and beyond. We ordered the quesa birra and the shrimp tacos off the street taco menu and they both came out fast and very hot with rice and beans. The presentation of the meals were so nice. As the shrimp came out with a beautiful purple flower. Both meals were so good we actually finished our meals. Overall would go again only for date nights. The menu was very different than what I’m usually used to looking at. But I don’t see that as a bad thing. Can’t wait to come back to try more food and drinks, we did not try the table side made...

Hubby and I stopped in here for lunch. The restaurant is very comfortable, clean, relaxed, and food was good. My only small complaint is that I ordered Pescado Al Ajillo which is walleye in a garlic sauce with steamed veggies and rice, because my body doesn't love dairy or corn too much. I figured the garlic sauce might be a garlic and butter sauce, but it was cream based instead. The veggies also had a cream sauce as well. 😅 I felt bad because I should have asked and I didn't want to send it back so I just took a couple lactaid and ate it. I will say it was absolutely delicious and thankfully I didn't have any major side effects, but just a note to anybody else who is trying to limit dairy.

I would definitely still recommend this place and we will definitely go back, I'll just be sure to verify what sort of sauces are in a meal...

I think it would be best to sit down and eat here,, as my California fries were soggy- because I didn’t leave as soon as I ordered because they said it would be at least 30 minutes and then I got a text saying it was ready 5 mins after I placed the order online. I would’ve like the fries cooked a longer so they could stand up to the topping. I really hate soggy fries. The topping was good and flavorful and had a decent amount of steak and cheese.
