This place is horrible this place is filthy dirty nasty to get do not change beds. We had try to stay and the room we tried to book the lady was saying we could have the night before. Wanted a early check in that was extra well ok so went ahead and did that then she says well after I book well I'm just letting you know if someone comes along we will half to give your room to someone else after the fact she already gave us are room number. We show up the next day. The lobby was full and I check in and tell them we have a early check in they say oh well they extended so we couldn't do that for you um excuse me so you gave our room away so after all it's past r early check in time what we should not get charged for. They didn't call to tell us or send nothing over like they said they would they now put us up on the third floor so me and my husband went up there to find out the room was not ready looked in and it looked a mess dirty soon as we got there the property looked nothing like what it was on the site don't be fooled. So as we go back down stairs I'm mad at this point so I go back in and tell the guy at the desk as there was someone else in there arguing with another guy. About a room as well and slurring up words. Back and forth so I tell the other guy hey that room ain't ready he gives me a weird look like really um yeah really. Like what a crap show here. So he said give me a second I'll be right back I step out side for a min and then he come out telling me he got one on the first floor after telling us they don't have one on any first floor. How is that so we leave they say they got to get the room ready ok we come back after grabbing what we need at the store. Here to come back that the room we go to get the key room 108. We go to check in let me just say I use to work at many hotels and be inspector and by far I didn't even want to step in there I started pulling back everything looking under skirts and just looking on stands and I see hair and foot prints on the bed. And then the toilet is over flowing and don't flush and there's mold and dirty walls and dirty everything there drawers nothings clean nothing it's dusty dirty afraid to touch or sit skirts for the bed have not been washed God knows what's on them there's things all over the floor maid need to be trained more don't u think. It's over all filth everything was filth everyone was coming out complaining about there rooms a lady was there for 5 days and there for ten more days and her toilet is overflowing and the rooms smell the staff are rude don't no how to handle anything. The lady you get all the time that books rooms she changes everything up says oh sorry no not oh sorry she messes everything up this property needs to be updated or people are going to get sick with mold and god knows what else but if u like all that kind of stuff then I guess it suits you but take my word I know go somewhere else like the holiday inn and express or the one in delmont as well somewhere it's clean I no the one in Monroeville is clean of the holiday so that I no sme with delmont. I should know I know about the hotels in the area just can ask. But don't stay at the red roof.
to the lady that responded to me from hotel you need to take a look better. and do a better job.
to your response you donot have clean rooms nor do you have a clean hotel you need to stop lying to people and not charge so much for rooms like that when people that check in and see that they paid for something they are not going to be happy with. so please do not tell me to come back I will not l will go else where nor the other people you got staying there isn't to happy neither you need to fix peoples toilets and fix things in general or maybe you need to walk the hotel your self and see that your rooms are not clean. look under the beds the stands the headboards floors and bathrooms the toielts do not work well. so how about retrain your staff and this is not right of you guys to treat people wrong of them staying there what I've seen and heard. you need to...
Read moreOn 10/8/23, we paid for four more days at 3:48AM through Priceline and we checked in around 4-something AM. We thought everything was good, but later on that morning, the manager sent an employee to knock on our door and tell us that we had to leave the property. We asked why, and she said because we trashed room 113. We said we have pictures, and she called the manager on the phone, and she yelled and talked over us. She told my friend to shut up when he was explaining to her that we have pictures. Then she tried to say that we broke the refrigerator Then she started saying we trashed the first room back in August. That room was scary (I have pictures.), but that was the only room available on the first floor and because my mom has back and leg issues, we didn't want to make her move again. So even when the lights went out that same day, we just stayed there in the dark until the maintenance guy came in the morning. And when we left the first time because our room was sold because of a concert, we came back the next day and no one told us that we damaged anything. We got our incidentals back and the assistant manager, Melinda, only held a one hundred dollar deposit instead of a $200 deposit even though we had two rooms. So we thought they were very nice and they thought the same about us. But fast forward to October 8th, now the manager was saying that we trashed their room in August. The front desk attendant said that it was just that the mattress was wet and that the floor was sticky. We have pictures of the room/beds. That morning there was a stain on the fitted sheet that went through to the mattress cover that we cleaned. That's the only wet part. We have a picture of the bed stripped and nothing is wrong with the bed. Then she tried to say that we didn't pay for Saturday and that Melinda told us we had to leave on Saturday, which is not true. On Friday, 10/6/23, we were trying to extend our stay as usual but we couldn't because all the rooms seemed to have been sold out online. So my friend went to the front desk to see if Alex, the night front desk attendant, saw any open availabilities. He told us to check in the morning with the morning manager, because they know how to override and do all of that. When we asked, they said they were overbooked by five people. We said ok and started looking for a different place to stay. Early Saturday morning, we still hadn't found a place. I asked my friend to get me a cup in the lobby, and when Alex saw my friend, he told him that he was able to save us one room. We asked how much, because rooms can triple in price when big events come to town, and he said $85.14. We paid and have the receipt. The front desk attendants were trying to talk to her on our behalf because they said we give them no problem, but she wouldn't answer their calls anymore. After talking with them, I believe she was mad because she told us that she was overbooked by five but we still got to stay. We didn't ask for any special treatment and we were totally shocked and happy when we were told that they saved a room for us.And so when the front desk attendants couldn't get her to answer their calls, they said we did have to go. But she never canceled our reservation, so we had to sleep in the uhaul. We were able to pay to stay at the Super 8, but we've had to keep the uhaul because this is an indoor hotel and we can't bring all of our things in. And we only were able to pay for three days because we need our money back to pay for the rest of the week. My friend had two seizures on Sunday because of all of the stress. I have four kids, two under 18...two with disabilities. My 72 year old mother is with me, who has leg and back issues. And yet she put us out after we paid without giving us a refund... look on my yelp review. I added pics of the so called...
Read moreAlex and Nikki are the Diamonds in a rough situation over there. Amy doesn't know what the real purpose of her position is as a manager of someone else's company. She kicked out four kids, two with a disability...an elderly woman with mobility issues, and a mother trying to do everything in her power to find a new place for her family after their old place was no longer a livable place because of major water damage and holes that brought things in the house that shouldn't have been while paying almost a thousand dollars a month to be there. And she used an employee to do it AFTER we had already paid and were already checked in. She wasn't even there. The employee got her on the phone and she yelled and talked over us saying that we messed up the rooms, and when we said we had pictures, she told us to shut up because she didn't want to hear about pictures or something tastelessly demeaning and unprofessional like that. And it's something, if a customer talks recklessly, messes up the room, stays on the property past the time they're supposed to be there...they could face criminal charges, but if a manager talks rudely/degrading to a family, gives them a messed up room, kicks them off the property for no reason, and then keeps their money, nothing seems to be done. But something must be done because you can't keep $535.60 from a family and cause a host of other problems and not be held accountable. Not sure if this is a race thing or an ego thing, but either way, this is completely unacceptable and something must be done to make things right.
Update 10/17/23: What you said is nice but you sharing my comment with the management team definitely didn't help rectify anything because when Priceline called yesterday, a woman answered who said she was a manager but that she's not giving her name, she's not going to cancel our reservation though it wasn't honored...and when the supervisor questioned her further, she hung up on them. You can call Priceline so they can tell you firsthand how rude this manager is. And in order for you to help my family and me, I need you to cancel the reservation that Priceline booked for us so that our money can be returned or give us four days at a different Red Roof. That will help some, but she has caused A LOT of drama and trauma. Our kids thought that adults were supposed to be adults, but they're seeing firsthand how cruel people can be and how they can use/abuse their "power/position" to hurt others who have done nothing to hurt them. And just to add this, we were good, faithful customers. We paid at least $4800+, not including taxes and fees, while we were there, and would have continued until we found a place. Why would a good manager make the company that they work for lose that kind of stress-free money...? Because we bothered no one. We just needed a place to stay while we looked for a house. We took out our own trash, made our own beds, took our bedding/towels to the laundry room, asked for a broom and dustpan so that we could sweep up our own floor... We did everything we could to be a blessing and not a burden on anyone. And because of that, we were treated and spoken nicely to by a lot of people there, staff and guests. And because we weren't a problem, we always got our incidentals back and they stopped holding incidentals for two rooms and just held it for only one room. If we would have trashed any rooms, they never would have done that and we wouldn't have gotten our incidentals back. So we don't understand how all of the respect just went out of the window two Sundays ago...?
