Disappointed and upset! We stayed here the night of July 4th. My kids and I went to the pool on July 5th when it opened. There was a strong chlorine smell which is common with indoor pools. However, we went to the Jacuzzi and turned on jets. Immediately, the fumes were intense and I turned off the jets. We waited a few minutes to let the mist settle. And tried again to get in, However we all started coughing. My kids started complaining their throat hurt and I became scared that the chlorine fumes were causing these symptoms. We immediately left the pool and I notified a maid cleaning the nearest restroom that they need to check the chlorine it's too high. I got to my room and notified front desk of my kids crying that their throat hurts and they are gagging and coughing. Front desk said ok I'll notify maintenance. We showered up and my kids were traumatized by the experience. I went to front desk after noticing they put caution tape on jacuzzi and asked what the chlorine residuals are. She said I do not know, I asked her to find out obviously there was an issue if they closed it. The maintenance guy came with a clipboard board and showed me the pool was 3.6 and the jacuzzi was 10.2 when it's average from prior days was 3.5. I said OMG that is dangerously high, no wonder my kids are feeling terrible, he said that's why I closed it and walked away. I couldn't believe that I did not receive an apology or an offer for my kids to be evaluated. I had already called poison control to ensure I provided proper treatment for my kids. I waited 2 days to post to see if anyone would contact me to see how my kids and I are feeling and to offer at the VERY least an apology. How did this hotel allow for chlorine levels to get so dangerously high for the guest? What is the monitoring procedure? They are lucky that I reported and as I work in the water industry and know what regulations and acceptable levels are chlorine are safe to combine with water. Someone could have passed out in the jacuzzi from the chlorine gas which is highly corrosive. Do better La Quinta Morgan Hill and train your staff to properly handle these situations. Check your equipment and put procedures in place to ensure your...
Read moreI've stayed here numerous times because of the consistent overall satisfaction with this hotel. First off, pricing is very fair and well worth all it has to offer. The location is convenient, just off the freeway and close to places to shop and eat. It is also right next to a car lot which I liked because I felt safer knowing the area outside is well lit at night. The rooms are big and clean making it a comfortable stay. There is a microwave and small fridge with coffee machine and of course a tv as well. The bathroom has built in Dove shampoo, conditioner and body wash in cucumber scent and only the whitest and freshest looking towels available. The hotel staff are all super friendly and accommodating. The hotel has many amenities such as a fitness center, indoor pool and spa with an outdoor patio for seating and a business computer with printing capabilities all for guest use. Furthermore, they have a bar and plenty of seating in the lobby to visit or relax outside of your room. One of the best things I enjoy about this hotel is the top notch breakfast serving a variety of food every morning. Everything from hot breakfast like eggs and biscuits and gravy or waffles to cereal and yogurt and fruit. They also have three different juices and coffee available. Additionally, they provide refreshments all day long in the lobby of coffee and lemon cucumber water which is really refreshing in the summer. They also have a mini shop where you can purchase microwavable foods you can take back to the room with you and vending machines with drinks, candies and chips. Im sure there is more this hotel offers that I havent discovered yet! Everything about this hotel is clean and comfortable and will continue to be my go-to spot when visiting family and friends...
Read moreReally enjoyed our stay. We cut our stay at the local Quality Inn (awful) short and came here instead. Highly recommend. Right off the bat, from the landscaping and clean exterior you can tell they take care of the place. There were housekeepers cleaning the lobby and elevators... There's always a big container of ice water with fruit or cucumbers inside. Lovely touch!
All of our interactions with the staff were great. Housekeeping does a very good job. The room is pretty nice, super comfy beds with a variety of pillows, some stains on the mattress (but let's be real, how can a hotel avoid that) but very clean otherwise. Only few minor complaints: our toilet paper holder was messed up and drooping, one of the lamps didn't work, and the west elevator is scary and needs some attention. I also wish they provided lotion on default (but they happily gave me one when I asked the front desk).
The breakfast is pretty substantial. Typical hotel continental breakfast quality, but lots of options! Left me very satisfied and the selection rotates slightly. I'd like to give special recognition to Karla, she must've been a lead for a certain department, but she was constantly working very hard everytime I saw her. She made breakfast on the weekend run smoothly despite the craziness with tons of people and STILL remained so pleasant and kind. When I came to the hotel originally, it was too early to check in, but I had a gallon of milk. She was so very kind and kept it in their refrigerator for me. I appreciate our experience here and will certainly lookout for LaQuintas next time we need to...
