Do they know what's best for me? I'll admit it, I don't always know what's best for me. I've been finding out what's worst for me. Through the process of elimination I hope to figure out most of the things that are worst for me, so I can start doing what's best for me. I now know that saying, "just one more" is always the worst for me. That saying never applies to something good. Usually when I say "just one more" I didn't even need the previous two before that. That saying is typically related to alcohol, caffeine, or oreos. When alcohol and oreos join forces, "just one more" doesn't even get brought up. I'm only going to be done eating those oreos until there is none left. I wish I could use that saying for things like apples or a glass of water, but sadly that has never been the case. What I'm trying to say is that I don't always know what's best for me. I thought ordering nachos and a burrito from La Hacienda was going to be best for me. Apparently, La Hacienda did not agree. When my food arrived, I had nachos and a tostada. I guess they felt a tostada was going to be best for me and I'm not going to lie...it was pretty good. That being said, I need to figure out what's best for me, not La Hacienda. Even if the tostada was best for me, La Hacienda is not always going to be there to push me in the right direction. They need to let me make my own mistakes. Anyways, the food was still really good. Hopefully, they'll let me order a...
Read moreNice atmosphere with lots of whimsical art around the restaurant, keep your eyes open or you just might miss it. Pops and I walk in to an abandoned greeting area and people laughing in the back ground “me and pops at the same time” (anyone here?) more laughter “someone in the back” (hola, I’ll be right there) lady walks up still smiling and obviously in a great mood, sits us at a table. (Lady) you want to start with margaritas? (Me laughing to myself) no thank you I have a long drive ahead of me. (Lady) it will make you feel better (me) now laughing out loud, maybe next time. Pops and I ordered The chicken chimichanga but substituted the chicken for Carnitas and 2 Jarritos mandarin soda (for those in the know, that soda is da bomb) the sodas arrived with hot light and crispy chips with home made salsa (soooo gooooood) about 15 min later our super delicious chimichangas arrived. The meat was tender, not greasy and the burrito shell was cooked perfectly crispy and light. Overall this place gets 4 Yums up. I subtracted 1 star as I feel the price point on the drinks at $3.50 per bottle was definitely on the higher side. Otherwise everything...
Read moreFirst of all, we had great customer service! Starting with the chips, they serve a light and crispy chip, which is a good indicator of what's to come. The salsa was a bit too spicy for us, so our waitress happily brought a milder green salsa, which was delicious. I ordered the combination plate with a chicken tamale, cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. The rice was flavorful and authentic. Each of the combination items tasted so good, I truely loved the seasonings used. The tamale was nice and moist and the cheese enchiladas were yummy. My boyfriend ordered the chili relleno and it was spot on in flavor and texture! It's rare to find the perfect style of chili relleno but this one was the ONE. He didn't care for the seeds in the chili but the outer coating is what I care most about with this particular item and it was perfect. 5/5 stars for this restaurant, and you know it is constantly good because they had lots of customers visiting on a Friday night. Even though they became busy during our visit, our waitress stayed constantly vigilant and friendly. I know we'll be...
