Reply to hotel response below - we gave you enough of our time and a chance to fix this. You chose to do a half a** job and still continue to lie. We were able to get what we were looking for at Marriott down the street where thier pool actually was 87.
Extremely disappointed with this place. I called them to find out what the pool temp was kept at before booking and was told 85. We ended up booking with them. Got a room on the 6th floor that gave us a view of the parking garage across the street which is also where guests paid parking is. We went down to use the pool and the water was maybe in the high 70s. The hot tub was maybe in the low 90s. After having my lower legs in the pool for about 15 seconds, going to the room and down to the front desk, my legs were still cold. I was talking to Adrian who was extreamly kind and compassionate about the situation and actually apologized and tried to remedy the situation. The manager Laura/Lora rudely jumped into our conversation without proper introduction and lied right to my face and kept telling me how the pool was at 87 and assure me that she checked it and tried making excuses about the wind cooling it down. It was a sunny day where wind would not have had much impact especially considering the pool is surrounded by the building on all but one side and part of the top. On the call earlier I was told 85 and now it was 87. It was neither. We had been on the property less then an hour. We were told that if we leave we could get a 50% discount or if we stayed they would discount our room. Manager also said that the hot tub was at 100 degrees. Needless to say that was also a lie. We ended up leaving and stayed at Courtyard by Marriott just down the street. The pool was actually 87 and they keep their hot tub at 104. The environment at Courtyard was much more peaceful and felt like an oasis being outside. If the manager lied to me like that, imagine she has had quite the practice of doing so. Very disappointed that we were mislead and lied to and that out...
Read moreOur stay was excellent. The hotel was modern, clean, and just plain lovely. The pool area was clean and fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean, and very modern as well. There was a mini fridge, but we were slightly bummed to see there was no microwave. A small nuisance though, really.
We booked because we had planned to see a show at the Shoreline Amphitheater. Unfortunately, upon our landing in SF we found out the show had been canceled. We decided to stay in the area anyway since we were already there. When we checked in at the Hyatt, I had a conversation with an employee who checked us in. The nightly room price had dropped dramatically (around $50) due to the amount of cancellations from people who planned to go to the show but cancelled after the show was. The person man who checked us in graciously told us he'd give us that room rate for just that night (we were staying two nights). We were elated by this.
Upon checking out, the room rate had not been adjusted like promised. The girl who checked us out apologized and said there was nothing she could do until her manager came in later that day, and told us we'd receive an email about it later. Later when I received the email, it was just a copy of our receipt, but the price was the same. After calling to follow up, I spoke with Lani about it, where we were told that rate adjustments are not a part of their policy. I was dismayed because that's what we were promised. She told me she'd speak with the manager who checked us in when he was back into work in a few days and let me know.
Today, I received a new receipt via email with the price adjusted rate. While it may seem the staff needs to get on the same page with how they handle these situations, in the end I was very pleased with the customer service I received. Thank you Lani and everyone else involved in helping us to have a great stay. Would definitely stay again if the show gets...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Hyatt Centric in Mountain View for a business trip, and I had an absolutely awful experience that I feel compelled to share. Prior to my stay, a coworker had warned me about a phone theft incident at this hotel, so I took extra precautions to safeguard my belongings. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to protect my Airpods Pro.
One day during my stay, I accidentally left my Airpods Pro charging on the nightstand when I left my room. The only day my room was cleaned was that particular day, and when I returned late at night, my Airpods were mysteriously missing.
I immediately reported the theft to the hotel lobby, but their response was abysmal. They promised that the hotel manager would contact me the next day but left me hanging until well after 7pm. When the manager finally called, they claimed that no one had entered my room. This was an outright lie because my room had clearly been cleaned and organized.
The hotel staff then changed their story, saying that only the cleaning staff had entered my room. When I confronted them with the inconsistency, they claimed to have conducted thorough investigations, including checking staff lockers, but found nothing. It's astonishing how they could conduct such investigations within 30 minutes when they initially denied anyone had entered my room.
To make matters worse, the hotel staff washed their hands of the situation, stating that they weren't responsible and refused to offer any assistance. They even suggested involving the police if I wanted to proceed. This utter lack of responsibility and assistance from the hotel is inexcusable.
My experience at the Hyatt Centric in Mountain View was marred by theft, dishonesty, and a complete disregard for customer well-being. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice before risking their belongings and having to deal with such terrible...
