If you’re looking for the best açaí bowls in Mountain View, Palmetto Superfoods is the spot to visit. Located right in San Antonio Village, this place serves super fresh, nutrient-packed bowls that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Every bowl is made with plant-based ingredients and piled high with toppings like fresh fruit, nut butters, granola, and more.
What I love most is that the açaí here is pure, not watered down like other places. The texture is thick and creamy, and the flavor is so refreshing — perfect for a quick breakfast, a healthy lunch, or a post-workout treat. They also have pitaya, coconut, matcha, and other superfood bases, so you can try something new every time.
The store itself is clean, modern, and Instagram-worthy (don’t miss the neon sign wall for photos!). The staff is friendly and always happy to recommend topping combinations.
If you’re in Mountain View, skip the fast food and treat yourself to something healthy and energizing. Palmetto Superfoods is my go-to for a guilt-free indulgence that fuels my day.

Read moreThey need to work on both product quality and customer service. I ordered a Just Acai Smoothie with protein powder. When I picked it up, it was already completely melted, not what I expected. After a few sips, I realized the granola (which the menu clearly lists as “Maple Cinna-Hemp Granola”) was missing.
I went back to the store to let them know. The staff member’s response was very unprofessional. First, she claimed granola wasn’t included at all, until I showed her the menu. Then she said it was out of stock, which made it clear they sold me an incomplete product without informing me. When I pointed out that an item shouldn’t be sold if key ingredients are unavailable, she dismissively offered honey granola instead.
Her attitude was rude and unhelpful throughout the interaction. At that point, I didn’t trust them to remake the drink and requested a refund. During this process, she was still unhelpful. When I asked how long it would take, she told me “five minutes,” yet I ended up waiting well beyond that.
I’ve ordered here several times in the past because I enjoyed the items, but after this experience, I won’t...

The place itself is lovely- bright and clean and a full length mirror to take pictures of yourself and whatever victims are there with you. All of the granola were in crystal clear vats (like the ones found at Whole Foods for by-the-pound dried goods) and when I came in, the staff was cutting up fresh fruit. 🍉
There was a group of teens ahead of me, looking at the (only) kiosk that takes orders. The kids might have been memorizing the menu on the screen because they looked deep in thought and discussion, going round robin at least 5 times while I waited.
Five minutes later I walk up to the counter seeing it had a register and is the place to pick up preorders. I asked the staff if I can order with them. They said no and stated matter of factly: the kiosk is the only way to order.
Blame the low blood sugar but I walked out. It wasn’t the kids fault; it was the staff and I should have...
