Slice House Mountain View by Tony Gemignani — Restaurant in Mountain View

We are fans of Tony and really like the Slicehouse concept. We drive almost 30 minutes each way, just to grab a slice. We have family visiting and told them all about it, and they were excited to give it a try. Yesterday, we ordered takeout - a full 20" Veggie pizza and a full Veggie Detroit style pizza. The regular Veggie was made as ordered. However, the Detriot was completely inedible. That was a very expensive pizza to trash. We ordered with one change - no peppers. Which they got, but the pizza had absolutely no sauce. We double-checked our receipt to see if by accident we selected something wrong. We didn't. We looked again online to see if we misunderstood the description - we did not. The entire pizza was overdone, and without any sauce on it, it was hard, and no one was able to eat it. We definitely didn't expect that. Very disappointed that such a mistake happened. We'll definitely think twice about ordering takeout. Hoping they read the reviews and refund us or at least give us store credit. Because it truly wasn't possible to eat the...

It takes a lot to get me to love pizza having Jersey in my blood and having had really good pie.. THIS is really good pie... The best I have had in California hands down. First.. It's a dang cute hangout.. A few tables outside and some trendy tables inside with really good music playing and fun people yakking it up. I can see this being very popular on walks downtown in summer and fall. The service is fast!. The food is unbelievable awesome.. I wanted to try it all but i was full after one very huge new york sized slice.. my table had 5 slices and three different flavors. the double sausage the purple potato and the apricot fields. Everyone at the table raved. You can order slices and full pizzas.. The bonus to slices is everyone gets what they want. I went back in and ordered two slices to go for my dad and my daughter to take to lunch the next day. He eats smaller these days so his slice will be 2 or three meals. It's that big.. I can't think of anything to make this place better as it really is the best and i wish i lived in California as I would go...
