This place is tucked in the lobby of a Hyatt hotel but it's a classy and tasteful little lounge/restaurant. We love the ambiance and the silverware and plates were very tasteful as well. My hubby found a little corner to watch the baseball game while I snack on happy hour goodies. We came for happy hour and like what some of the reviews mentioned, their happy hour dishes are really regular appetizer size so it was very satisfying. One thing to note is that their poke bowl is actually more of a poke salad bowl as it doesn't come with sushi rice, so that's something to take note of as we misunderstood. But in the menu in the ingredients listing it did list that it'll be mainly lettuce. Overall, servers were attentive and personable, and portion size was great. They didn't rush us for bill and let us enjoy our drinks. Drinks were also great, lots of wine and draft beer selection. Hope they keep this price and portion size, and we'll be...
Read moreVery nice hotel Hyatt Centric the restaurant is connected to. However I went to get a cup of coffee to go due to the storm outside so I can hv in my room. I asked for large there's only one size 12 oz. I get the bill it says $6.33.
I was surprised since on the menu it states $5.00. I give a dollar tip, brings it to $7.33 for one 12 oz coffee. Looked up online says to go bev according to CA gov tax guide with the exception of carbonated or alcoholic bev no tax on coffee tea to go. Normally I wouldn't even bother with a review but I felt like bait & switch. I'm a guest at the hotel for days so it's not about a couple dollars. I wanted to bring this to the attention of the establishment so other hotel guests or customers in general will not be unpleasantly surprised by a similar experience or know what can occur. I called to ask but put on hold long enough for me to decide to...
Read moreCame to listen to some live music on the patio and enjoy adult beverages. Abundant staff standing around but no one comes to take an order. I walk through the empty place to the empty bar to order their specialty Cadillac Margarita and wait another 10 minutes for someone to mix it. The result was an ordinary margarita. Glass is eventually empty, no one ever comes, I walk back to the still empty bar, ask for another margarita “with extra Cadillac” and ask if someone could bring it to my table. 10 more minutes go by. Staff are just standing around. Margarita finally delivered. At least the second one had a visible float. To close my bill, I go back to the bar and wait another 10 minutes to get my bill. If there was a big party happening on site demanding so much bar service, get a second bartender. Average Joe off the street gets the vibe he’s not...
