Knights Inn Murfreesboro — Hotel in Murfreesboro

I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I didn't have to in order to leave a review I would give them a minus 10 stars.......

when I arrived at the hotel I walked in an was telling the guy at the front desk that I seen the billboard on the interstate advertising the rate of $39.99......he said yes an then proceed to tell me after taxes the price would be $60.00 even...... I then ask how much are your taxes...... he then told me that if I could find a cheaper hotel I'm more than welcome to go there...... I again ask how much are your taxes here..... with him repeating you are more than welcome to find a cheaper hotel..... I then told him sir could you please tell me how much your taxes are here at this hotel, coz I work at a hotel in Gulf Shores Alabama an it's right on the beach an our hotel taxes there are only 12%...... he then looked at me an told me there taxes there are 16% an that I need to leave or he would call the cops...... I then told him that with him having the advertisement of $39.99 on the billboard that is false advertising as I walked out....... once I got to my car I decided that I was going to go in an ask him for the email address to his corporate office coz me working at a hotel I know there would be no way of getting a phone number to it........ when I walked back in the first words our of his mouth was I'm calling the cops...... I then ask for the email address to his corporate off an what his name was....... he then stated he has no corporate email there is no one over him he answers to no one an that he was calling the cops if I don't vacate....... at that time I seen a business card sitting on the desk an as I was picking one up he grabs the holder they are in an slams them back down telling me to leave or he's calling the cops...... I told him to call the cops I would be more than happy to speak with them I will sit out here in my car an wait till they get here...... that's when he slammed the phone down an keep saying please leave please leave...... as I was leaving an an going to the pilot gas station that's just down the road I seen the other guy from there run up behind my car write down my license plate number an when my husband got out an yelled at him asking him what was he doing an could he help him....he took off running back up the road. My husband then got in the car an we followed the man an he went right back to the Knights Inn. What this was all about I do not know because I offered to sit there an wait for the law to get there an the older guy at the front desk wouldn't go on an call the law....so I returned to the pilot gas station went in an spoke with the lady at the counter to see if she could look at the cameras to see where the guy waring the towel wrapped around his head with a stripped shirt ran up to my car an wrote down my plate number an ran off....she told me she couldn't do that with out a police report... I then called the law, they came out an took the police report an watched the cameras, you could clearly see the man run up write down something then run up by the driver side of my car an up through the bushes that was at the front of my car an then again appear running by the entrance to the gas station up by the road in the direction going tward the Knights Inn with my husband behind him then u can see my husband get back in the car an us pull out an turn the way the man was seen running....this happened on May 2, 2016 @ around 8:30 or 9:00p.m. it was the older man that was working the counter that I was speaking to when I was at the hotel but it was a younger gentleman with a towel wrapped around his head that chased us down the road to get our license plate number....so if someone at the corporate office sees this they may want to look in to this hotel coz I can see just from the reviews I'm not the only one who has been talked to like this. I have been from Kentucky to California staying at different Wyndham hotels from February until now an have never been treated like this I will keep trying to contact the corporate office... DO NOT...

I'm here on business and I'm traveling with my family, we will be in the greater Nashville area for the summer. We were staying at the Woodsprings in Smyrna/La Vernge and we were paying $600/week. We had no issues. In an effort to save some money we decided to book at the Knights inn which was $200 cheaper for the week. So I decided to book. My mistake!

When I say this place is roach infested I mean it's INFESTED!!! We were only in our room for 1 hour and they started appearing. So I started closley inspecting the room to insure there was no bed bugs. I haven't seen any but the mattress has clear signs of past bed bugs! The room was absolutely filthy with dead roaches all over the floor. The bathroom was disgusting and the sink was falling apart.

Unfortunately, talking to the other residents I was informed that management never does refunds and he plays hard ball. I'm in-between paychecks so I can't afford anything else right now. We brought cleaning supplies and pest control spray and we are keeping everything in our car and sleeping with all the lights on and our clothes on. This is disgusting!

The property is clearly not taken care of tall grass everywhere and druggies and Meth-ican Americans everywhere. I'm here with my wife and two small children! We are going straight back to the woodsprings and I will happily pay that 600$/week after this experience! Check out the pictures and please stay clear of this place especially if traveling with children! It's not safe and it's absolutely disgusting. The owner has no standards. If my children or I get bit by bed bugs I will be taking these many photos and putting the bugs I find in a bag and taking it to the health department! I should have never booked here and I deeply regret leaving where we were at! It's my job to provide a safe clean environment for my family and this ain't it! Please heed my warning and don't stay here. Unless you don't care about filth, bugs, and Meth-ican Americans. Thank God I carry and I have the means to defend myself and my family. I honestly don't know how they even get good reviews these people be lying!!!!

Only good thing I can honestly say about this place is that it's near gas...

I enjpyes my stay at this establishment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and for a smoking room, it actually smelled nice. The Air Conditioning Machine was brand new and worked very will, and also was very clean. Towels and bed sheets / blankets were also clean. There were NOT bugs in my room, not even 'signs' of them, I checked, and found nothing. They have laundry machines on site aswell.

I found my short 2 day business based stay to be quite enjoyable, the location of the motel is quite convenient as well. It is located near the interstate for quick travel, and the main highway it sits near offers many businesses for just abput anything you would need. There is a convenience store within walking distance, a cracker barrel across the street, and a Walmart and Dollar Store just down the street, there is also a Pilot Travel Center just 2 minutes down the road.

The motel offers room service as well, food and beverages, and housekeeping will exchange your used consumables (Towels, ect.) Or pick up trash, every morning.

There is also a pool, however during my stay it was closed, but it looks nice, and will definitely be a great spot to cool down in those hot summer tempatures when they open it back up.

There is plenty of parking, and is even Semi Truck parking friendly, they have a small open lot to the side for Semis to park.

The neighborhood seemed like a Venice neighborhood. I certainly felt safe during my stay, and did not get the same uncomfortable feeling some reviewers speak of, because for me, everyone was friendly, and non-threatening.

Last but not least, they do offer complimentary breakfast, I personally did not get this breakfast, as I had brought my own food. However I see people complaining about the options for this breakfast, which isn't necessary. Just be glad that they offer it in the first place!

Overall. I personally give this Inn a 5/5, as the service and room I was given has reflected that it is...
