Ordered online, website said it would take 30min and the order would be ready for pickup at 17:50. I arrived and checked in at 17:48. At 18:05, I went in because my order had not come out. A young lady who I believe was named Elle assisted me at the counter. She attempted to ask a manager (older white lady) behind her about what I was saying, and this lady just blew her off completely. So Elle went to the back to check on my order. While I waited, I observed several other people frustrated over the complete poop show that was order pickup. After several min, Elle returned and asked me to check my order, and a couple of things were wrong - I was missing eggs, and they gave me brown gravy for the order of biscuits and gravy. Elle headed back to the kitchen, during which time one other customer was given an order with missing items, one other customer came in after not getting a response from curbside check in, like myself, and I spoke with a DoorDash driver who had also been waiting way past the instructed pickup time. By the time Elle returned with my eggs and gravy, it had now been 30 min since the email said my order would be ready and 15 min since I had gone inside, 10 min of that I was left standing there with only my pancakes, bacon and the biscuits for the biscuits and gravy. I asked Elle for a refund since I had been there so long and now half of our food was going to be cold, so she called for a manager. This dude.... he starts thumbing through all the containers, opening them up, and says he doesn't get why I'm asking for a refund. Because half of my food is now cold and you're wasting my time. He takes the bag and moves to walk away with it, saying he's going to the kitchen to figure out what's wrong with it and get me a new order. I said no, no, no, you've already kept me here more than 30 min after my order was supposed to be ready, I just want to leave. He said fine, I'll refund you online and just walks off. As he was walking away, I asked for his name and he completely ignored me. Thankfully, another employee told me his name was Harold. Harold has no business working in the service industry, and it's very apparent that this location is unable to provide quality service with him in charge. This is the last time I tip on a carryout order, and probably the last time I will patronize a Cracker Barrel, anywhere, ever. The bacon was perfect, I will say that. Over medium eggs were overcooked. Pancakes were rubbery by the time we ate them. The gravy made a .5 mile trek to the hotel and the pic tells all you need to know. Still haven't received a refund and will have to wait until tomorrow for customer relations to open. I would say that Elle deserves a raise, but she's really too good for this place, and girl, if you're reading this, GET OUT BEFORE HAROLD SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF YOU. Report him to HR on your way out, get him fired before one of your coworkers goes postal, because that's the environment...
Read moreEvery year my company orders meat biscuits. I called on Monday 12/18 to order 140 biscuits for Friday. When I called Monday morning I asked the woman on the phone if my order could be separated into 4 different containers and labeled for the different departments so that I didn't have to take them out of the containers and separate them. She was so confused she didn't have any idea what I was asking for. Needless to say, I went in there on Wednesday 12/20 to pay for the order. Ms. Lisa was behind the counter and she was an absolute angel. However, they couldn't find my order to pay for it. They finally pay for it, I let her know about the separation of the order. I leave and think everything will be fine. I send one of our supervisors there at 7:00 am on Friday 12/22 and they couldn't find our order. I spent 30 minutes on my way to work on the phone waiting for someone to answer, I was passed around to 3 different people. Finally the "catering manager" answers and I tell her I am walking in the door and to please meet me up front. I get there and waited up front for at least 15 minutes before she came out. She miraculously finds my order and its not ready. She spoke to me in a very condescending tone and told me to give her 5-10 minutes and she would have the order ready. I knew she wasn't going to have 140 biscuits ready in 5-10 minutes. 40 minutes go by, and I asked to speak to the General Manager. He never comes out. I watched customer after customer come in for catering orders that were wrong, unorganized, or just weren't ready at all. I finally got my order at 9:00 am. They did state that they were going to refund my entire order. I am waiting for that charge to reflect on my credit card. However, that doesn't rectify the situation and we will no longer be doing this with cracker barrel anymore considering the absolute mess that this place was in. They are understaffed, the managers don't do any justice to this place, they are unorganized. They need serious help.
Let me say this, if I could rate the woman at the registers by themselves they would get 10/5 stars. They are patient, kind, understanding. Absolute angels on earth. The rest of the staff that I dealt with, incompetent to...
Read moreThis was in Manchester TN on Hwy 53. So I thought I'd try again. It's Monday, March 24, 2025 at 1:28 pm. They put a lot of pepper on the mashed potatoes. Why? The server claimed they do that at all Cracker Barrel's and I told her that is simply not true. And she copped an attitude. Plus the corn was so tough you should just crimp it and feed it to the cows. What is the purpose of a pepper shaker on the table? I look around and most of the people here are older. Most older people can't handle the pepper. I know a lot of younger people would say lol that just sucks for old people. Whatever happened to the Golden Rule? Do you not love your parents & grandparents? This is often the only place to get veggies away from home. We want the old original good food no matter what location restaurant back. Wake up CEO...I don't have to wait in line to get in anymore. Your numbers are dropping. Concentrate on the quality of the food. It's 6:47 on Sunday December 8, 2024. The food looked great. I got a veggie plate with pinto beans Mac & cheese mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. We've traveled all over the U.S. and have been going to Cracker Barrel since there was only store number 1 (I was very young then). This is the Cracker Barrel on church st in Murfreesboro tn. The mashed potatoes were lumpy. The broccoli was crunchy. Not steamed enough. The food was lukewarm so by the time I took a few bites it was cold. They also brought all of it out in little bowls instead of on a plate. I can understand a bowl for the beans but the rest made no sense. Changing your decor is not the answer. Good very warm food is. I hope Cracker Barrel can get it together soon. We've been to similar sad Cracker Barrel's this past year in 10 other states. It used to be so reliable and now it's hit or miss. Very sad. The manager didn't charge us. But she did try to take my plate away when I was still eating the beans because I was so hungry. She had offered to bring another plate but I was exhausted and just wanted to go home. It should be right...
