So we had brunch on Sunday 01/19/2020. It was not very busy and everything was wrong wrong wrong. We sat down waited 10 minutes to be greeted. Once our server greeted us we order 2 mimosa and Oyster App. The app come without horseradish, I had to ask for it and by the time I received it. My app cold. We ordered ordered our food, Steak omelet and Steak & poached eggs. He asked what sides. I thought it came with Home fries, but he informed us we can have anything we wanted from the sides menu. So we both ordered bacon with our brunch. We are waiting for our food and we noticed everyone around us receiving bread. I had to ask for that too. Ask for butter with it and it never came. We did not see our waiter again, well we did but not for our table. He continued to serve the people directly next to us but we were left without the butter we asked for a empty mimosa's. When our food came. He brought us 2 Steak omelettes. That is not what I ordered. That is what my husband ordered. He took the bacon and the English muffin and slide it onto a side place I was using for my oyster app. Told me he was going to give my the side and muffin and would be right back. Another 10 minutes pass and now I have my correct order but it was still wrong. The order was POACHED EGGS. The eggs for completely COOKED. There was nothing about those eggs that were poached. He served a table to our left and it so happened that the man in that party order what I order. His was incorrect too. he wanted the hollandaise sauce on the side and it was on his eggs. But what blew my mind was as he was returning that customers food I stopped him to tell him nothing about these eggs are poached. HE SAID TO ME, "this is going back to the kitchen would you like these instead?" I literally looked shocked. You just offered me another customers food. I humored him and cut into the eggs while still in his hands and informed him there's nothing poached about these eggs either. So now this is the 2nd time my food has come out incorrect and he dropped off another tray of bread with I felt was a stall tactic. I was upset cause now I filled up on bread and my husband was already done with his brunch a long time ago. When my food finally came out only one of the 2 eggs was poached correctly but by this point I was full off of things I did not order and upset that we could not enjoy our brunch together and our mimosa were still empty. At the end They provided us with a titan labeled bottle of wine to apologize and go figure we don't even drink wine. So the apology was not even appropriate for us. Never once did the manager or owners come to our table. Then to top it all off our bill was $72.00. We were charged for the side of bacon as if we ordered an extra side. NOT ONCE did it say there was an up-charge for switching sides. HE OFFERED THE CHANGE with no announcement of an extra fee. We expected to pay quite a bit for brunch. But with service like that.. I felt as if I was just robbed by them. I still left him a $10.00 tip. No it may not have been the 18% suggested however he truly did not deserve one with what happened and how we were treated. If you are looking to have brunch please look else where. You will be...
Read moreI have eaten here before and raved about the food so when choosing a place for Mother’s Day the other three members of my party had never eaten there so we made reservations and were looking forward to it. So fast forward the menu changes for the holiday, so already a let down from their actual menu to about 6 entree options which is not stated on the website. The server brings our drinks and we’re ready to order and he tells us he forgot his book and would need to come back so we wait another 10ish minutes for him to go fetch his book to take our order. The food comes out and we have all eaten a good portion with no drink refills and have to flag a server down to get more drinks while our server goes to every other table. He forgets an addition to one of the meals and it didn’t come out till we were done eating. The food was bland, no seasoning and you would expect more for a $30+ steak but no. Small portions but pricey for what you get especially with no flavor. Keep in mind we are trying to give the kitchen the benefit for it being Mother’s Day but still quality of quantity. The server finally comes back and we ask for a box. He leaves and then comes back to other tables with the dessert tray, we again had to finally flag him down to show up the options as we were interested but with how slow the service was we decided to do dessert elsewhere. We had to ask again for a to go box. He brings the checks and we ask about the appetizer special that is clearly stated on the website for $7 on May 12th from 3-7 or 9 times don’t really matter we were there within those times and he proceeds to tell us we can’t get that, that’s not the rule on a holiday even when the website clearly stated the date and time frame. He told us he couldn’t do anything about it. So he leaves. We wait another 15 minutes with him going to every other table in the room until he finally comes to get our checks.
Needless to say we will never be back as i disappointed my whole party with telling them how great it was only to spend a ridiculous amount on dinner for a letdown. Will not be back and wouldn’t recommend based on price and service, it’s...
Read moreMy wife and I came to Parthenon Grille for our wedding anniversary, and it happened to be the very first time we have dined there. We had a wonderful experience! The ambiance and atmosphere was quiet and romantic. The pace was just right- we spent about 90 minutes there, and really enjoyed being able to savor our food and conversation. And since were there there on a Monday night, we definitely took advantage of the half-price bottle of wine special!
As for food, we had the Parthenon Dip as an appetizer, and I could eat that all day, every day. It was amazing: artichokes, mushrooms, olives, hummus, cheese, with abundant fried pita chips for dipping. My wife had the special (a Greek pasta dish tossed with shrimp and calamari), and I had the New York Strip with asparagus as the side. Everything was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly medium, as requested. I felt the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and top quality of the cuisine.
Our server, Amanda, was absolutely the best server we have ever had at any restaurant --and that is not an exaggeration. She really took care of us, and was refreshingly honest about our first wine choice, steering us away based on what I said my wife would like. She helped us pick a much better wine that really made the meal. Amanda was attentive, fun, and so friendly. And she even brought out some complementary baklava for dessert- complete with 'Happy Anniversary' written in honey on the plate! It was so nice of her!
My wife and I both agreed afterward that our time at Parthenon was the best anniversary dinner we have had in a long while. We did think that it may not be the ideal place for families with small children, but it's really great for a grown-up outing, particularly anyone looking for a romantic evening.
We strongly recommend the Parthenon Grille, and we will most...
