Our stay at the Hyatt House Nashville Airport on 7/7/22 started great. The woman at the front desk was kind and professional. The room was a nice sized for our family of six. We are usually limited to staying in an Airbnb b/c we have four children and finding a hotel room that will accommodate us all is difficult. Again, this room was a great size for our family. The problems started once we checked out. We mistakenly left my daughters 3 dance competition dresses in the closet of our room (#240) when we left around 10:30 am on Friday 7/8/22. It wasn’t until we arrived to my daughters dance competition, three and a half hours away from Nashville, that we realized we had left them at the hotel (Hyatt House Nashville Airport). I immediately called the hotel to ask if they could hold them for me until I could drive back to get them. The gentleman that I talked to on the phone was short and definitely inconvenienced by having to talk to me. After about 2 hours he called me back to inform me that they had looked in the closet in that room (nobody had checked into the room since we had left at this point) and that the dresses weren’t anywhere to be found. He said he would try to get ahold of housekeeping and let me know if they turned up. After waiting a few more hours I called again and he said he didn’t get ahold of housekeeping so I needed to call back the next day. So, I called on Saturday (7/9/22) at 7:30 am and talked to another staff member who informed me they didn’t know anything about it but they would check with housekeeping when they came in at 9:00 am, and told me to call back around 9:30am. I called at 9:30 am and was told the housekeeping manager was looking into it. They said they would call me asap. After waiting for another two hours I called again and was told they didn’t have them and there was nothing they could do because somebody else had stayed in that room overnight and that it could have been them that took the dresses. This is when I started getting really frustrated b/c the day before the staff member told me he had personally looked in the room before anybody had checked in after we left. So, I asked to speak to the hotel manager. I was told the Assistant General Manager was driving people back and forth on the airport shuttle but would return my call at his earliest convenience. I called two more time later that day and never received a return call. I am writing this review on Sunday afternoon 7/10/22. I called the hotel again this morning and asked to speak to the hotel manager and have still not received a return call. It’s very clear that they don’t care about my issue. At this point all I can think to do is file a police report with...
Read moreDear Hyatt Place Management,
As a frequent guest with a corporate account and someone with extensive experience in customer service, I truly appreciate the importance of excellent hospitality. Unfortunately, I wanted to bring to your attention a recurring concern regarding one of your team members that I believe impacts the guest experience.
This morning, at approximately 8:45 AM, I visited the complimentary breakfast area and was warmly greeted by the front desk staff and a female team member working in the dining area. However, my interaction with Anthony, who works in the kitchen, was far less welcoming. Having stayed at this hotel many times, I understand that everyone can have an off day. However, I have consistently noticed Anthony displaying an unapproachable demeanor. This morning was no exception—there was no greeting, no acknowledgment, just a cold, almost scolding look.
I initially avoided disturbing him, as I could see he was preparing an omelet. After making my breakfast from the primary bar, I noticed another guest receiving his omelet and decided to place my order. Before I could even finish my request, Anthony abruptly shut me down, stating that the omelet station had closed at 9 AM—despite my watch showing exactly 9 AM and no other guests waiting. His tone and approach were unnecessarily dismissive, making it clear that he was uninterested in accommodating guests in any way.
While I don’t make a habit of focusing on negative experiences, I believe this is a matter that should be brought to management’s attention. Fortunately, Michelle, another staff member, provided a refreshing contrast—she cleared my table with a smile and genuinely asked if I needed anything else. Her warmth and attentiveness were much more in line with the hospitality I associate with Hyatt.
What concerns me most is that Anthony's attitude appears to be a pattern rather than an isolated incident. His lack of professionalism and eagerness to shut down breakfast at precisely 9:30 AM, with little regard for guest experience, reflects poorly on the Hyatt brand. I hope management can address this issue to ensure that all guests receive the welcoming and courteous service they expect from your establishment.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Read moreGood hotel with everything you need, close to the airport and a great location if you’re just looking for a place to stay on a layover.
The hotel is within 10 minutes of the airport and the shuttle drivers are quick and personable. Other than that there isn’t much nearby and walking anywhere is made difficult by the lack of sidewalks. The closest thing nearby is a gas station and a little park with a couple of benches and a pond if you need some fresh air.
The hotel does have a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating with a firepit and a full service bar. In the mornings there’s also a free hot breakfast, nothing crazy but a couple options outside the norm like cottage cheese, cut up fruit, oat milk and a variety of hot and cold options.
The staff is diverse which is good to see, they are also friendly and attentive.
The parking lot is gated and monitored for safety.
There’s a good gym with two ellipticals, three treadmills, a rower and exercise bike, dumbbells up to 50lbs, six kettlebells up to 40lbs, floor mats, one variable bench, and a cable machine. There’s a watercooler, towels and headphones.
The property has an indoor pool and outdoor seating near the pool area for nice days.
Business center features two iMacs and a printer.
The lobby has a nice seating area next to the bar and a little convenience store with the basics along with a small snack and beverage selection.
Rooms are very big and spacious, standard Hyatt House amenities like a full kitchen and a nice island to work or eat at with a very comfortable high office chair. Tv in the room was nice and big with casting capabilities and the bathroom features a pocket door with a spacious standing shower and glass doors. My only knock with the rooms is there’s a gap above the window that allows a lot of light in that shines right on the bed in the room I was in. Not a big deal but if you prefer total dark you might have an issue with the windows.
Would recommend this hotel for anybody needing a place close to the airport and a stay where you dont want to go out and explore much nearby/looking to stay in the majority...
