Although I’d like to give less, I can’t justify it due to the fact that the rooms were (mostly) clean and the beds comfortable. The fridge clearly had not been cleaned out, and I found old food in my ice bucket. But at least it’s dog friendly!
That being said, if you’re looking for a PEACEFUL nights sleep, you absolutely will not find it here. The hotel management has no regard for the comfort of their tenants. I was booked on the first floor due to have dogs, and a family was placed above me. The family had ZERO control over their children. Running, screaming, and obviously launching themselves off of furniture due to the violent nature in which my bed and the frames in my wall were shaking.
The first time I asked the front desk to try and convince the family to keep the noise down, the girl said she would call upstairs.
HOURS later the noise was continuing, even getting worse. I travel with my dogs, and they were becoming very upset. And they are dogs who are very accustomed to hotel stays. Concerned they would start barking (and it being 10 o’clock at night) I called the front desk again.
The woman stated, “that family only just got up there from the lobby so it couldn’t have been them making all the noise.” I asked what might be causing all the horrible slamming and screaming then. She replied, “I don’t know.” And that was it.
No offer to go check, no offer to move me to a quieter room, no solution whatsoever. The noise continued until after midnight. No sleep, plus a third day of 10 hours of driving is not setting me up well. Will not be recommending this hotel to my travel nurse colleagues. Give your money to one of the other affordable (and much nicer) hotels immediately...
Read moreWe got in really late and the receptionist was very helpful and quick in getting us a nice room. They upgraded us to a suite just to keep us on the lower level with our pet. We were very pleased with this place until breakfast time when a staff member Alison was so rude to both my kids and I. Getting in so late we thought we heard breakfast was over at 10:00am. It was actually over at 9:30am. Honestly didn’t know or we would have happily grabbed breakfast elsewhere, my kids and I went out at 9:20am. Dishing up our plates, Alison snips at my kids, I’d quickly dish up, we are cleaning up, breakfast is over soon. She then walks near me and says the same thing. I tell her oh I thought it was over at 10:00am. She said who told you that aggressively. I let her know we checked in really late last night and could have misunderstood. She walked up to the receptionist desk and quickly walked back to tell me no one told me that and then pointed at the sign of the listed time of breakfast. Feeling attacked, we didn’t see the sign as our room never crossed paths with the breakfast area till we headed to breakfast. I told her I had worked in a similar field before and her customer service skills were very unprofessional and rude. She said well we do things different around here. There was still a lot of food left that was just thrown away, we quickly grabbed our plates and took them back to our rooms. The food was decent, however because of the one bad experience of the staff member being so rude and aggressive, we will never stay there again. We do travel this area often and will look at...
Read moreHotel itself is absolutely beautiful. We were not greeted but rather ignored by a front desk attendant with zero personality and quite frankly was rude. When we spoke to her she ignored half of what we said, just blatantly did not respond to our questions which made for a very awkward check in. We then explained to her that we needed a room close to the lobby as I am on oxygen and we had a ton of medical equipment to bring in and didn't want to be lugging it to hell and gone. She assured us we were in a room that was close. So we start walking past the breakfast room....past the elevators....down a long ass hallway....around a corner....past housekeepings laundry room....past all their laundry carts....past the ice machine....down another long hallway to finally arrive at our room. By the time we got there I was so short of breath, we could not make it back to the front desk to complain. She royally f**ked us. When you pay that kind of money for a room, you expect to be at minimum, treated respectfully. We were treated better at crappy hotels in the middle of nowhere than we were here. Despite this I will say the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean, my son loved the pool. It would have been nice to go with my son to the pool but I was so short of breath from our hike to the room, his grandmother had to take him instead. All other staff we encountered were friendly, but unfortunately all I will remember is the horrible...
