Cody Go Karts — Attraction in North Platte

I wish I could rate the go carts and mini golf separately but unfortunately I can't. Go carts would get 5 stars! Staff was wonderful, go carts were a blast! We had so much fun!! Thanks guys! Mini golf was less than appealing. We're from Arizona visiting family that didn't want to play but would've liked to walk along with us. They wanted to charge to walk with. If we would've known what the course was like we would've absolutely walked. We made the best of it but I can't believe they would insist on payment to be there amongst the over grown weeds, stagnant "ponds" and hastily put together course. Mother in law ended up hanging out in the car until we were done. I 100% would've rather spent that money on more go carts. My advice, stick to the go carts, mini golf is over priced and absolutely...

Good local fun center. After the rides, they let us stay and play their lawn games for free long as we wanted. But the true gem is the Tic-Tac-Toe playing chicken. My research shows this to be one of only two remaining chickens of it's kind after the one in Chinatown, NYC has left us. The staff was great for telling us more about the chicken, training sucessors once one chicken retires and what steps they take to see the chicken lives a humane life. Of my party of five, I was the only player to earn a draw against the chicken as all others lost. It's not the most obvious attraction off I-80, but it is easily accessible. Locals or interstate drivers, so yourself a favor and pass the generic and middling quality attractions off the one ways and d4ive the extra 200 yards...

We took our kids here on our way home from a vacation. Our youngest has not had experience doing go-karts. He did well, but was confused with some of the directions and came in a little fast at the last lap and bumped the car in front of him. On the second track no employee was there (they were ultra relaxed) to direct where to go after the last lap which requires a u-turn and our youngest again came in hard against the bumper rails. He was confused. The owner then came over to him and our other sons and chewed them out assuming the worst. He assumed our son purposefully was trying to crash. It was an unnecessary confrontation.
