Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in North Platte

I’m saddened and reluctant to give this rating. Was hoping for a better experience this morning as our last visit had been awesome a month ago. Started off on the wrong foot. We were seated at a table that wasn’t prepared. No silverware etc. waiter was not forthcoming or upbeat. We had to ask for silverware and order without any questions on how we would like anything. He never asked questions as too what we would like to drink etc.We had to state what we wanted without being asked. Our drinks came out. Coffee was stale and lukewarm. They didn’t bother to pour my coffee. He Just set the coffee pot down in front of us and left. We waited approximately 30 mins for our food. It wasn’t even the same waiter that dropped our food off to us. Bacon was barely warm and looked like the thin cheap precooked stuff you can buy at the store. my wife’s chicken fried steak shrank to half the size she had the month before. My eggs were way underdone to the point of probably not safe but ate them anyway, hash was cool to the touch. He never acknowledged my wife’s drink was empty even though he looked right at the table.the cup sat empty for 15 mins as we finished choking down our food an no one bothered to refill her cup. I’m sorry but that is somethings that should just be done at a restaurant no questions asked. Who’s training your staff? This was just a terrible experience and sadly it really doesn’t surprise me as it’s typical North Platte fashion. Don’t know why I’d expect anything other than mediocre service around here. No one bothered to ask how the food was nor did anyone acknowledge we were finished with our meal. We got up and went up front to pay. Wife attempted to explain the situation to the front desk person and this person was not allowing my wife to finish what she had to say. It’s sad to say but I could have got better service and food at a MCds. It’s unacceptable, I’m paying you for a service and I felt like it was pretty much self service. Just as well have stayed home cracked some eggs in a pan done up some real bacon and pancakes and been money ahead and happier at the end of it. Getting real annoyed at the lack of quality service food and retail places in this town. Where’s the pride in service? It’s embarracing really cause I can’t confidently suggest a single reliable quality place to eat in this town for friends or family. No consistency anywhere one week may be great the next just horrible! If I were a manager there I’d be looking to fix some things with your staff demeanor and attitudes cause if this keeps up your going to lose a bunch of paying customers and locals such as myself. This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We had a very young, new server last night and well let’s just say he shouldn’t be a server with his manners! Started off having to tell him our drink order 3 different times and he still didn’t get it right! Than when he came back and took our food order he made a comment that if we didn’t like him that was ok because he’d just spit in our food! Should’ve got up and walked out than! Place was not busy at all but it took almost an hour for us to get our food and we were missing LITERALLY A BIG CHUNK OF OUR ORDER! Manager on duty stepped in and she was just as bad as he was! Never did get the salads we ordered that should’ve came with our meal! Finally just told them to take them off our bill because at this point we were just done and wanted to eat what we did get and leave! After we canceled the salads and the other stuff we didn’t get he comes out to tell us his manager told him we canceled the salads he was making for us (no way he was because it doesn’t take 30 minutes to make a salad) and that’s how long we had waited after she told us he was making them! We tried giving him grace because he was so young and run and new! But the final straw was when my grandson told him we went to a wedding and it was for my son and daughter in law eating with us and he turned and gave my son his condolences and told him he could get him some holy water and an exorcist because his wife was a demon! Extremely rude and he should’ve walked away! Than he asks if we are ready for ticket to check out and I told him 3 times yes and to bring it to me and instead of going to get it he stands there and keeps asking who he needs to give ticket to! Waited 10 minutes and he never brought it so went up front to get it and the manager on duty literally looked me dead in the eye and knew I was annoyed already so what does she do? Picks up her personal cell phone and gets on it to call a friend! She took stuff off our bill after I told her everything and it was still $91! Will never return to...

So I am here in North Platte for work staying at the Best Western which is totally awesome by the way however it is Thanksgiving there is another employee here as well from the same company so I ordered Thanksgiving dinner now Thanksgiving dinner was supposed to be turkey mashed potatoes stuffing green beans you guessed it cranberry sauce with a side salad and I also ordered dessert with that as well as well as four slices of their grilled ham how shall I even begin stuffing was extremely dry the salads were already wilted and they sent the wrong dressings for the salads they did not send my drinks nor did they send the chocolate French silk pie slices that I had ordered two of I called the restaurant while the delivery driver was here and whoever answered the phone did not ask for my name delivery address confirmation number or anything and just said yeah I'll see what I can do and hung up on me the total of my order was $94 and some change I will never ever order from here again if I could give them minus Stars I would however because I'm not a total Karen and we did get at least get some food I did settle for a 50% refund which I probably shouldn't have considering the extremely poor customer service I received after calling the establishment had to go through doordash to even the refund that I did get extremely poor customer service at this restaurant do not even bother going here Happy...
