The past two nights have been the worst sleep I have ever gotten at a hotelā¦. And I travel for work. This hotel is LOUD and possibly seedy. My first night, I was up until 4:45 in the morning because of all the noise my neighbors were making. I knocked on the wall several times, but they didnāt respond or quiet at all. I KNOW they could it hear because I could hear their conversations VERBATIM through the walls. I barely slept and went to work the next day to give a presentation on virtually no sleep. The second night, I was hoping that Iād potentially have no neighbors or new ones, at least. On my way in, I mentioned the issue to the front desk and he said to call them if it happens again tonight. At 2:30 I was woken up to the loud giggling of several girls. I knocked on the wall after a few minutes and nothing changed. So, I called the front desk and they said they would call the room. I never heard the phone ring and nothing got quieter. Nobody came and knocked on their door. Around 3:30, it got out of control loud and I called the front desk a second time. Again, they said theyād call (I never heard the phone ring), and they told me that I could change rooms if I wanted to. After this, you could hear the girls leave and things got quiet for close to an hour, maybe. Then one of the girls returned, but with a guy⦠and proceeded to have ārelationsā for the next half hour. (itās worth noting here that both nights started out with several girls in the room, got quiet for an hour and that only one girl returned with a guy for relations. Itās giving⦠solicitation.) I called the front desk a third time, and asked to cancel the remaining nights of my reservation. I expressed my frustration that the solution was for ME to pack up all of my things at 4:30 in the morning and move to a new room when the neighbors should be asked to leave or move if they canāt respect the hotelās noise policy or instruction from management. The front desk attendant told me that there was nothing she could do but move ME. I mentioned to her that I had never heard the phone ring or anyone come to their door and she assured me that she had. After an escalated conversation, I hung up frustrated with options to move or call the police and a refusal from hotel staff to manage the situation next door. I laid back down, and about five minutes later, their phone RANG. Clearly. A ring that I definitely wouldāve heard twice before. I am so disappointed and frustrated. I will NEVER stay at a Tru again. I had my concerns about an $88 hotel room. The issue isnāt that itās not clean or has bed bugs. Itās that you have $88 neighbors. Iāll stick to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHilton Gold Member/Hilton Amex Cardholder! I donāt write reviews unless the service was exceptional OR unless it was absolutely terrible. In this case, this is my first time rating any Hilton a 1 star. Please donāt stay here. The walls are paper thin and Iām not exaggerating. We stayed here for 4 days and all were awful even after a room change. 1st night; I had preselected a room on floor 4 thru Hilton app. When we arrived, the app was showing my digital key for a room on floor 2. Ok, no biggie right? People above us had a dog and we could hear the barking and shuffling around the floors. Neighbors on the left had kids & we heard all the whining & arguing. (Iām a parent myself, I have nothing against kids). This is to demonstrate how paper thin the walls were! I requested a room change bc originally my room was supposed to be on the 4th floor anyway (according to my app choice). Front desk man was super rude. He said they donāt do room changes but he would allow it this one time. I was like ???? Hilton has never once denied me a room change or even questioned it or made a big deal about it. Night 2; new room on 4th floor. Neighbor decides to wake up at 4am or arrive home from partying at 4am and starts blasting a movie. We could hear EVERYTHING! That woke us up & couldnāt go back to sleep. Night 3; donāt know if we got new neighbors or if it was the same one but the person was struggling. Not sure if they have a health condition but we could hear everything. Once again, this emphasis isnāt on the neighbors. The emphasis is on how thin the walls were! Just please donāt stay here. Save yourself the hassle. Stay anywhere else. Weāre avoiding Tru Hiltons from now on (assuming they were all built with cheap materials and paper...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have stayed here a few times but I think we will not be staying here again. We love the location because it is close to family and friends. We recently stayed here and we got bed bugs. I understand that there are a lot of people that go in and out of a hotel but I just think that you need to be more diligent with inspecting these types of things. We stayed in room 222, if you do decide to stay at this hotel make sure to do a quick inspection to see if there are signs of bed bugs. I have stayed in a lot of hotels because I travel quite a bit for work. I have never gotten bed bugs and I had a severe allergic reaction to all of the bites. I do not wish this on my worst enemy. It is extremely uncomfortable and irritating to the point where it is difficult to sleep. There were other signs of wear and tear of this room that have not been addressed. The service has never been stellar but it is not terrible either. The most hospitable person in the place is the nice lady that was doing the breakfast. She was very accommodating and was running around like crazy because she was so busy. We called the hotel and spoke to the front desk to let them know and they didnāt seem worried about it. I was not calling to complain or get anything out of it I was just calling to be courteous because we do not want this to happen to another family. We were just calling to put them on notice so they could try and remedy the situation. Again, I totally understand that this could happen at any hotel but this should be addressed. Good luck when you stay here and make sure to do your own inspection of the room before you decide to...
