I had to stay in a Motel nearby for I lost my flight connection the day before, and this restaurant was a really good surprise. The hotel (Quality Inn) didn't offer lunch so the receptionist suggested this restaurant to me, and I really liked it! The restaurant is located by the road (walking distance from the hotel), but it seems to be easily accessible (15min driving distance from the airport). The staff is super friendly! I wanted to try something local, and the waitress suggested me to try the plate that had a combination of cajun fried shrimp and cajun fried catfish. They serve some appetizers at the table, probably local (something like potato fingers). The main plate is accompanied by two side dishes, and I choose coleslaw salad and baked potato. Soda is free refill. The food was so good! Fish and shrimp were very crispy and not oily at all. The portion was huge! I was not even able to eat half of it. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that has the chance to go! Bill came up to $23 with tips, which is sounds super reasonable for the quality and amount of food they serve.

Great service and atmosphere. Incredibly friendly people. The food...eh. It was probably just a bad first impression. I like the free hush puppies instead of bread, but they were pretty plain, served with butter. Shrimp was good, very nicely fried but lacked seasoning. I'm the type that likes crispy thin fries, so I did not enjoy their fries. The pinto beans weren't special. I was told they were cooked with bacon and onions, but did not see them in my portion. The fish was very nicely fried, very crispy batter. The batter lacked seasoning. The fish itself was not good. Let's just say it didn't taste as fresh as it could have...and I eat a lot of fish of many varieties. Their tartar sauce was good. I don't like sweet tartar sauce and theirs was not. Lunch special portions decent for the price. Not sure if I will ever come back though.

This was our first visit, and it definitely won’t be our last! The catfish was cooked perfectly—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The hush puppies were a standout, made with real corn that gave them an authentic touch. We paired it with cole slaw and fries, and topped it all off with a slice of key lime pie that was the perfect finish to our meal. Our server, Claudia, was outstanding—warm, knowledgeable, and always smiling. Service like that is rare and truly made the experience even better. The restaurant itself is spacious, very clean, and has plenty of parking. The dĂ©cor is fun and inviting, with fish on the walls and aquariums that add a relaxing atmosphere. It felt comfortable, welcoming, and like a place you can settle right into.

Tammy was our waitress. While the waitress was at our table asking if we were ready to order, I asked my fiancĂ© if he would rather have the baked potato or green beans. Tammy interrupted and said do y’all just want me to come back? We were actually ready to ask her questions about the menu when she left our table the first time saying that she would just come back since we were discussing between ourselves AND asking her questions. When she finally came back, I think the third time after continuously leaving our table
I said well it will only take him about 30 seconds to respond to me and tell me if he wants the potato or something different, if you walk away it might be 3 to 4 minutes before you come back and we’ll probably have our questions answered between each other back-and-forth over the next 45 seconds but the time I spent explaining this to you I feel like possibly am I taking up too much of your time? She said, OK then well, I’ll stay. I then looked at my fiancĂ© and again asked, would you like the baked potato or the green beans? He didn’t look sure, so I asked the waitress Tammie, are the green beans fresh or are they in a can? She said they come in a can, so I say to my fiancĂ©, well that answers our question we won’t get the green beans then. We then ordered the large order of the Cajun catfish, which came with 4 pieces of 5 ounce fried spicy, catfish. I asked, how is the corn prepared for the second side item, Tammie replied it comes in a can. No, I said
How is it prepared? She seem to open her eyes really wide and say we heat it up.

It’s clear she did not want to be there today and she did not feel like being personable and visiting with the patrons
I asked a gentleman who had taken us to our seat if he was the manager, he said he’s one of them
I said I would like to pay for the tea and just leave. He said that the tea is on the house and that I should just go.

I am beyond disappointed in Tammie today and catfish and company. Y’all Should do better at allowing customers to ask questions, and please ask the waiters and waitresses not to run away from the table just because I want to ask my spouse a question about which side item he wants while the waiter or waitress is taking our order. Honestly, any reply, other than an apology would just...

I don’t think I’ve ever had an experience like the one at Catfish & co

We saw that gluten free catsish and other items were offered so decided to give it a try. When we walked in the waitress come over to seat us and my husband asked if hey had gluten free menus (that way she could grab them then and not have to come back) with a very Snarky attitude we were told no and she turned and walked us to the table and she started to tell us that they can tell us what is. I wanted to double check we had the right place so I started talking because she was rambling and I couldn’t quite tell if it was safe to eat here then she cuts me off and said, “If you’ll let me finish” and rolled her eyes. I’m not sure why she couldn’t have just nicely said that they didn’t have a me u but can show us what we can order. After that she continued to have an attitude which really sucked because it dampened our time our even more and it was my 30th Birthday our with my husband and child. Brought the appetizer and said she would bring plates in a minute then came in and out of the kitchen to serve others but never brought plates. It really didn’t matter we didn’t need them but I could see this was intentional. At the end she had loosened up some but then said “Are you ready for dessert, oh wait it’s all gluten” and had a fake smile on her face. I’m not sure if I have a negative vibe to begin with that bothered her, if she had something against being gluten free or what but I have NEVER been treated like this and it seems others have not had the same experience so maybe it’s just her or just us... the food was pretty good and we would come back when we are in the area if it wasn’t for this situation. Not the worst service but for sure the...
