Update: unfortunately the visits after my initial visit have not lived up to the initial visit. On my most recent visit(5/9), the staff seemed disorganized and confused. I tried the pizza and it came out soggy and with ingredients that didn’t seem fresh. The ice rail that was a nice touch at the bar now appears to be half broken. If you’re looking for a chill spot to grab some seriously good eats, Birra Birra is where it’s at. I recently swung by and left with a full belly and a smile. First up, the meatball sub is a total winner. The meatballs are juicy and packed with flavor, smothered in marinara that has just the right kick. The bread is perfectly toasted, adding a nice crunch that holds everything together. It’s definitely a comfort food classic, and I can’t recommend it enough. Now, let’s talk about the Brussels sprouts. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by veggies, but these are something special. They’re crispy and seasoned just right, with a bit of sweetness that balances everything out. I could’ve easily devoured a whole plate by myself. Overall, Birra Birra nails it with a laid-back vibe, top notch staff, and food that makes you feel right at home. If you’re in the Chisolm Creek area, definitely make a stop! P.S. make sure to sit at the bar to experience the ice rail!

I really like this place! I have eaten from here twice now- the first time I ate inside a couple of days ago, & last night I placed a to-go order. Both my dining & to-go experiences were great! I’ve tried both the red sauce & alfredo sauces & both were soo good on my pizzas! The pizza is very cheesy & the sauces weren’t overbearing, plus the crust tasted amazing! Didn’t lack flavor or butter. You pay $15 for a 12” pizza (plus $4 to add pepperoni or other meat) which was big enough for myself & my boyfriend. The slices are pretty big. Last night we also ordered some cheesy bread & it was very good! You all should try the cheese curds & their stuffed pepperoni knots, too, because they are bombbb. The stuffed knots aren’t yet on the menu, though- the waitress had told us about them. The view while sitting in the restaurant was great too! They have a nice bar area & an upstairs area, as well. It wasn’t too packed inside when I had went & the service was also good, we were well taken care of! Overall enjoyed my experience inside the restaurant & with my recent to-go order. Be sure to sign up for their rewards, it’s worth it! I will definitely be back :)

First I'd like to say that Ben at the bar was nice on the phone and in person; and a cutie. Not being from this area, he's not familiar with a little spot that used to be on N. May btwn Grand & Wilshire, called SOPHABELLAS, next to the SONIC. Being that I've never been to Chicago and had a deep dish on location, SOPHABELLAS is my reference. Upon seeing this personal pan pizza size box, I was already TICKED OFF for the $28 I had just spent. Birra Birra was tasty, not DELICIOUS like SOPHABELLAS. Once home, those four pieces were roughly two slices. For the $35-$40 spent at SOPHABELLAS, had to carry with two arms. Set pizza on car- open car door- pick back up and place in car. This was too expensive for my fancy; I felt cheated. Also, only if you were dinning in, did SOPHABELLAS cut the pizzas; stating that crust would get soggy on bottom. After arguing with an employee and insisting that he cut the pizza for me, should have listened. Didn't think this tiny thing could get soggy-- WRONG. The place is nice and I will go again, but only to try drinks.

Horrible management. Rude and unprofessional. The standards set in which customers are supposed to be treated starts with management. I called their "Togo Line" to see if the food was ready for me to come inside and pick up. The person who answered who clearly did not listen to me replied, "You have to come inside to pick up your order!" As I attempted to explain that I planned on coming inside to pick up the order, I just wanted him to confirm the order was actually READY for me to come inside - I was cut off and told "see you inside" then they hung up on me. As I calmly entered the building to request the name of the person who hung up on me the lower level employees were respectful however management refused to have a conversation with me, failed to even acknowledge my existence, did not even glance at me. Management handed the employees a card to give to me & walked away. The business card read Dustin Walters as general manager. I asked "is this the person that hung up on me" and was told "Yes." No one attempted to speak with me outside of the "Yes." I went to their website and found pictures of the people who I assume are very important people in management (the male being Dustin) - the same two people in management who came out to find a business card & didn't even have enough decency to hand to me or give me the name of the person who hung up in my face. They handed it to the lower level employee to hand to me & walked away. I am a food delivery driver but also a customer who lives right next door to the restaurant - I will not be spending another dime here nor will I pick up food for customers to deliver to them. I understand as a delivery driver that it is convenient for the restaurant for us to come inside to pick up. As a delivery driver who dresses casually out of respect for upscale restaurants I call so that I am in and out - instead of waiting inside / in front of the restaurant for 20 minutes for the delivery order. If the order is not ready I wait in my car. The ambiance of this restaurant gives business & formal attire, I was not dressed appropriately (street wear). My plan was to come in to grab the food & go immediately - not to be treated like a second class citizen because I work for a third party delivery company on behalf of your PAYING CUSTOMERS!...

I've been here 4 times now and Everytime the food is great. However, the manager Riley is incredibly passive aggressive. The first time I didn't think much of it, but after having it happen every single time now I figured a review was necessary. She will come to your table before your party is done eating and start grabbing napkins and clearing the table as if you are all getting up to leave. (Maybe 20 mins after food has been sat down). I don't mind if the server comes and takes empty plates away, but to take plates that people are still eating off of or napkins from the table that people are still using is rude. I've finally figured out after this last time that she is trying to rush our party out. (This is not during busy hours by any means and there are plenty of tables) This past time after only being there for 45 mins and still working on our food she started clearing stuff from the table, after asking if there was a time we needed to be done by since we seemed to be being rushed we were informed that they had another party coming in at 5:30 and we can continue with our conversations at the bar. All while we were still eating our food and she very snarkily said "I just love it when friends come in and get to catch up with friends at the bar." We remained at our table since it was only 5:00 and never saw a group of ten come in and noticed there were plenty of empty tables. She definitely needs work on how she treats her clients and how she approaches conversations in the event it is busy and she needs a table freed up. It's not that hard to politely say "hi I'm so sorry to ask, but we have another party coming in and might need this table, is there anyway you would be willing to move...

We love the area for walking and enjoying the outdoors with many choices for a good meal. We had beautiful Spring weather today, so we tried BIRRA BIRRA for a late lunch. The service was great and we ordered beverages right away. We ordered the platter of bruschettas to start. A nicely done variety of 4 kinds and they were all delicious. They had the traditional version, one with a great Gorgonzola and prosciutto with an apple slice on top and one with garlic . They were all delicious and perfect to share for two people. We ordered the 15 inch hand tossed pizza for our main course. We did the Margarita with a couple extra toppings. Everything was good, except the pizza. Probably the worst we’ve had anywhere. Very doughy crust, and no flavor to the red sauce or any detectable seasonings. I requested caramelized onions and one other extra topping. We each ate one piece and that was all. We went somewhere else for dinner later. We moved here from Chicago 30 plus years ago. We have managed to find a great little Italian restaurant much like we had in The Chicago area and a few good pizza places. This wasn’t one of them. Disappointing crust, sauce and that left the toppings which we picked off and left the rest. It looked good but it didn’t live up to being tasty at all. The salad and the drinks ( I had the one of the mocktails and my husband had red wine) were great as was the appetizer. We would return for those, but...
