Horrible management. Rude and unprofessional. The standards set in which customers are supposed to be treated starts with management. I called their "Togo Line" to see if the food was ready for me to come inside and pick up. The person who answered who clearly did not listen to me replied, "You have to come inside to pick up your order!" As I attempted to explain that I planned on coming inside to pick up the order, I just wanted him to confirm the order was actually READY for me to come inside - I was cut off and told "see you inside" then they hung up on me. As I calmly entered the building to request the name of the person who hung up on me the lower level employees were respectful however management refused to have a conversation with me, failed to even acknowledge my existence, did not even glance at me. Management handed the employees a card to give to me & walked away. The business card read Dustin Walters as general manager. I asked "is this the person that hung up on me" and was told "Yes." No one attempted to speak with me outside of the "Yes." I went to their website and found pictures of the people who I assume are very important people in management (the male being Dustin) - the same two people in management who came out to find a business card & didn't even have enough decency to hand to me or give me the name of the person who hung up in my face. They handed it to the lower level employee to hand to me & walked away. I am a food delivery driver but also a customer who lives right next door to the restaurant - I will not be spending another dime here nor will I pick up food for customers to deliver to them. I understand as a delivery driver that it is convenient for the restaurant for us to come inside to pick up. As a delivery driver who dresses casually out of respect for upscale restaurants I call so that I am in and out - instead of waiting inside / in front of the restaurant for 20 minutes for the delivery order. If the order is not ready I wait in my car. The ambiance of this restaurant gives business & formal attire, I was not dressed appropriately (street wear). My plan was to come in to grab the food & go immediately - not to be treated like a second class citizen because I work for a third party delivery company on behalf of your PAYING CUSTOMERS!...
Read moreI've been here 4 times now and Everytime the food is great. However, the manager Riley is incredibly passive aggressive. The first time I didn't think much of it, but after having it happen every single time now I figured a review was necessary. She will come to your table before your party is done eating and start grabbing napkins and clearing the table as if you are all getting up to leave. (Maybe 20 mins after food has been sat down). I don't mind if the server comes and takes empty plates away, but to take plates that people are still eating off of or napkins from the table that people are still using is rude. I've finally figured out after this last time that she is trying to rush our party out. (This is not during busy hours by any means and there are plenty of tables) This past time after only being there for 45 mins and still working on our food she started clearing stuff from the table, after asking if there was a time we needed to be done by since we seemed to be being rushed we were informed that they had another party coming in at 5:30 and we can continue with our conversations at the bar. All while we were still eating our food and she very snarkily said "I just love it when friends come in and get to catch up with friends at the bar." We remained at our table since it was only 5:00 and never saw a group of ten come in and noticed there were plenty of empty tables. She definitely needs work on how she treats her clients and how she approaches conversations in the event it is busy and she needs a table freed up. It's not that hard to politely say "hi I'm so sorry to ask, but we have another party coming in and might need this table, is there anyway you would be willing to move...
Read moreWe love the area for walking and enjoying the outdoors with many choices for a good meal. We had beautiful Spring weather today, so we tried BIRRA BIRRA for a late lunch. The service was great and we ordered beverages right away. We ordered the platter of bruschettas to start. A nicely done variety of 4 kinds and they were all delicious. They had the traditional version, one with a great Gorgonzola and prosciutto with an apple slice on top and one with garlic . They were all delicious and perfect to share for two people. We ordered the 15 inch hand tossed pizza for our main course. We did the Margarita with a couple extra toppings. Everything was good, except the pizza. Probably the worst we’ve had anywhere. Very doughy crust, and no flavor to the red sauce or any detectable seasonings. I requested caramelized onions and one other extra topping. We each ate one piece and that was all. We went somewhere else for dinner later. We moved here from Chicago 30 plus years ago. We have managed to find a great little Italian restaurant much like we had in The Chicago area and a few good pizza places. This wasn’t one of them. Disappointing crust, sauce and that left the toppings which we picked off and left the rest. It looked good but it didn’t live up to being tasty at all. The salad and the drinks ( I had the one of the mocktails and my husband had red wine) were great as was the appetizer. We would return for those, but...
