THE UNSAVORY ECLECTIC HOTEL....this place has inspired me to write a book. You see people from all different sides of life. Down on your luck, running from the law, elderly, mental, etc. 1st impression-Lord why didn't i buy that gun in this open carry state! There was a mishap with the people in front of me with their reservation. They were promised something on the phone and it was not fulfilled when they got there. None of my business but it worried me bc i read reviews and this was mentioned. The lady checked us in and the whole time "suspicious looking" characters were in and out the door. However you do need a key card to get past front desk. When went thru and got on the elevator and someone had threw their leftover dinner and empty tea bottle on floor. I let the front desk know and it wasn't cleaned till the following morning. Before we got on the elevator the couple from in front of us was running for the front door i asked if it was roaches and the guy said the room was just disgusting. I was scared! I have 2 small children. We get to the room and it was actually really clean. Little things missing like 1 blanket missing, leftover food in cabinets, things in drawers..but nothing horrible. The noise is ridiculous. People walk hard as possible. There is yelling outside the windows at 2-4 am. Our second night the bomb squad was on site looking for a suspect(google 11/24/19 if you don't believe me) which again scary with 2 kids. It was a week before we saw our 1st baby roach in the bathroom. There were boogers on the cloth shower curtain and really no water pressure. It really felt like living in the projects. Now for the good...you somehow end up comfortable thru it all. You get used to all the little nuances. The staff greet you and really control the place. Reviews say they are mean but these WOMEN are exactly what this place needs. This isn't a Hilton with the best visitors. This place can get grimey and they need people who can keep charge of everything and that's what they do. They always asked if me and my kids were ok. If you had an issue they took care of it. They aren't afraid to knock on a 6ft tall man's door and say "KEEP THE NOISE DOWN YOU'RE DISTURBING OTHERS" once you're in your room it's very comfortable. Bed is comfortable. 1 of the eyes didn't work on the stove but we didn't need it. Long story short, You know what you are getting when you choose to stay here. Some people this is all they have others are passing thru on a job or traveling some are old and shows you how America is. If i was down on my luck and needed long term stay i could manage. If There was another choice I'd pick the other choice. But it's good for what it is and the staff made me and my children feel safe. And nobody entered our room or stole anything.

The staff is kind and helpful! They even allowed us to switch to a downstairs room since we have small children who don't know how to "walk softly" yet. That wins 5 stars with me, hands down! Both rooms were clean and had a welcoming feel to them. And when I unknowingly dropped my key in the room (found it later slightly under a bed on the floor), the staff recognized me and gave me a key to get back in our room despite my husband not adding me to the room list (not sure he knew how to or that he'd need to?). Grateful for attentive staff! Otherwise I would not have been allowed a key, which I understand was following policy. I was not upset by this; again, thankful for the policy and the staff as they were just doing their job. Also, for the record, no bugs, pestilence of any kind, or traces of them were seen in either room. Hooray! My only complaint would be the comfort level of the beds. Some of the mattresses could probably use replacing. Other than that, our stay was very pleasant. I love the height of the beds for storage purposes! I was able to slide the stroller and car seat underneath to be out of the way. If needed, I could have stored the "pack and play" when not being used. We did not have a pet with us, but glad to know your hotel is pet-friendly! I feel that is worth noting here for those travelers who may need it. Overall excellent experience and stay! Thank you!

I had to make an unplanned trip to Oklahoma City and unfortunately did not have time to investigate the hotels in the city. I knew that some hotels would be closed due to the Corona virus precautions but was optimistic about finding a room. It has been a long time since I have drove 1000 miles but let me tell you I was TIRED when we got into town. After spending time trying to find a decent room, figuring out most were closed, or many of the amenities we don’t mind paying higher prices for were unavailable, we opted to reserve a cheap room. I found a room available at wood spring suites and they looked ok from the pics online. I read the reviews, which I could clearly tell some staff or possibly friends and family of staff had been involved with some of the reviews, and despite the warnings from others we somehow thought we would take a chance, how bad could a cheap hotel room really be? The absolute worst hotel stay ever is the answer to that! Pulling into the parking lot we passed a police officer and later learned that they patrol the area of the hotel quite often And once inside of the hotel I understood why. This place is ran like a halfway house. Majority of the people that stay here are pay by the week and this place is their actual home. It reeks of cigarettes and the smell of black and mild cigars constantly lingered in my room. On the wall of my room was a cork board with some printed off rules of the hotel hanging on it but written on the actual board itself in marker was “This is a business, practice what you preach ho”. Correct me if I’m wrong but I do believe that this board should have been replaced or taken down before another guest checks into this room simply because it’s not a good look. The room itself seemed clean for the most part. There is a kitchen including a full size refrigerator as well as a microwave, there was no dish soap, no utensils, no dishes, no glasses, no paper towels, nothing just bare cupboards. Any suite similar to this, always provided those sort of amenities. Just guessing, these Items may have been provided at one time but stopped replacing them once they disappeared out of the rooms. There was not a blow dryer or an iron in the room either so I called the front desk and inquired about an iron and was told that I could check one out for a half hour so my husband went down and signed out the iron and ironing board. I may have taken a few minutes over my allotted half hour but needless to say I finished using iron and the ironing board and took them back down to the office. There was no one in the office and I could not locate any staff so I left the ironing board and was going to leave the iron in the hallway next to the office. My husband Mets me in the lobby because we were getting ready to leave when he noticed where I left the iron and ironing board, deciding it would probably be better if we took them back to our room so they would not be stolen and therefore be responsible for them missing since we did not get an opportunity to sign them back in. We got back to the room and went to bed only to be woken at 9 AM by the front desk. I answered the phone and it was a lady demanding I bring their iron and ironing board down to the front desk immediately. She was so rude and already combative over a hotel ironing board and iron. I wondered if she knew how it usually works at other hotels and it’s not normal for a Staff member of a hotel to act in such a way. Well I was not dressed and was still completely exhausted so I set both items outside of the door and called back down to the front desk and advised them they could come and get them. The lady immediately got nasty and it was obvious that she wanted to make a big deal of the situation and instead of being accommodating to a guest of the hotel and simply go get the iron and ironing board that were sitting outside of my room she demanded I bring it right then and because she was being nasty I hung the phone up. Our phone started ringing and didn’t stop because she repeatedly called back, I unplugged the phone. I was sitting there in utter disbelief. How do they think treating guests like this is ok but I remembered the type of guests they usually deal with, the pay by the week because they have no place to live kind. I get back in bed for a few minutes and then there was a knock on the door. Are you kidding me???? The iron and ironing board were right there and they want to confront me and knock on my door. I spoke through the door without opening and a male Stated he was the manager and I need to open the door. First of all I don’t open the door to any Man, second I was not dressed and there was nothing That could not be discussed without me opening the door, but what in the hell is he knocking on my door for when this was over an iron and an ironing board that were sitting right there when he knocked!!! Obviously he wanted confrontation as well and he stated that I had to open the door because he was the manager and he demanded I do so. I advised him I would not be opening the door and then he told me that we had to vacate the premises. My husband is finally waking up and gathering what is going on and is instantly upset. He got out of bed and put his business suit and tie on, then proceeded to the front desk to speak to the male subject that was just knocking on our door. He found out his name was Chris, And he claims to be the general manager of this establishment. I don’t know if he was caught off guard once he saw my husband dressed professionally and speaking with proper grammar but he would not Address the situation any further with my husband simply stating that the conversation was terminated. I’m not really sure what that meant other than he was not willing to discuss this situation any further but we are now being kicked out of our room so we need someone to resolve this situation and at the very least give us our money back. My husband returned to the room and I finished packing everything up took my paperwork that I received upon checking to the front desk and asked to speak with Chris. There is a room off of the front desk area where Chris was located and he would not come out and speak with me, he never spoke with me directly and then advised his front desk staff to relay the message he was going to call the police on us. So I could confirm I was not legitimately losing my mind, I really wanted to stick around and let them call the police or maybe just look at the expression on an officer’s face once he hears the story but my husband by this point was about to stroke out he was so angry, we ended up just leaving. I splurged and stayed the next night In an executive suite at one of the renaissance locations because I surely felt I deserved a little luxury after a disastrous experience the night before. People please hear me out when I say, THIS PLACE AND THE STAFF ARE TRASH, YOU DO NOT WANT TO...

So sadly before i start i did have a review already on here and i want people to know i was pressured hard constantly to write a good review and now after being there for 6months it was to cover up all the bad reviews.. so as for the rooms. They weren't bad and held noise from neighbors to the side decently. Now if someone was above you it was easy to hear footsteps. As a hotel it was what I was expecting and not bad as a building. BUT the people you have working there are definitely not friendly. First of all when booking online or on the phone it asks for one ID and not everyone needs this. I've seen ALOT of mad people who have been turned away that are out of state and had this previously done to me after I moved to OKC for work. I had my wallet stolen and had no ID. My wife did. I verified this like 3times to make sure I not need. We get to city at 4pm and try to check in and told they don't care what online or people on the phone say we BOTH HAVE to have an ID. I got lucky enough to find a tag agency 10miles away and get it before they closed st 6. Made it back and checked in. Second thing is and I have proof that since I got to the hotel I paid 3days early and I did all my own laundry and cleaned my room never got the free cleaning every two weeks or traded in my linen for new until this past month. My wife fell and hurt herself. Well when getting unemployment and going to Dr that I have to take off work and waiting for her to start getting money and funds got tight. Past few weeks I was able to pay but not early. 3 weeks ago I was stressing and I told Lucy what was going on and Loretta there listening, I had enough to pay for hotel but would not really have food is what I was upset about and she told me I could use the deposit I put down at beginning for two days to go in with what I had and to pay back as I could. So about two weeks go by the day before I left when I went to pay for next week I was told I HAVE to have deposit as well. I had 250$ in my wallet My rent has NEVER been over 243 and 90% of the time it was 226. Idk why my rates fluctuated but they told me it was 269 plus deposit so 369. Then after she had money already in her hand she offered I pay full amount for 1 night and try to come up with rest tomorrow but failed to tell me it was 369 still and not the one night minus 369 so I was 50$ more in the hole. The whole conversation and 99% of conversations i had were with Crystal were so fake nice it's not even funny. The amount of care for customers she has is awful. She will pretend she talking nice and talk to you like your dumb when trying to understand how much money I need. And also Loretta.. has to be one of the worst people I've ever came into contact with . She is also fake nice. And says stuff under her breath and very quiet and will smile like she's telling you to have a good day but is telling you some nonsense. They both would sigh if needing anything to be honest. I would literally stay away if Loretta was working and only go into office if I had to. Does this sound like a "home"? No. The two guys I think area managers were there just last week and I had a great opportunity to tell them how these employees were acting. Know what I did? I was nice and told them it's been good to not cause problems and maybe have crystal be remotely nice for once. But no I should have gave those guys facts and told them to go watch and listen on last conversation I had with Loretta. Heck when I called to check if towels were clean last on the hotel phone so I wouldn't bother and make whoever working stop what they are doing to come and tell me towels not ready I thought a call would be easier but all I got was "ill have to mark that down" my reply "okay mark what?" Her reply that u "can only exchange every two weeks". Which was first time in months I exchange my linen and I already know these rules so she say again " you sure? Ill have to mark it down" like she doesn't even wanna do it. I promise she will give you the " I'm innocent old lady talk" but she was awful to make. So was...
