Patra's Grand Beach Motel — Hotel in Old Orchard Beach

This small motel property is north of the downtown Pier in Old Orchard Beach. It's on route 1, one block away from the beach. The ocean when we went was calm, with not very large waves, good for families or small children. There is very little to no seaweed along Old Orchard Beach and you can walk or wheelchair along the beach for miles (literally). |The owner, Paul, is very nice and even owns a beach wheelchair people can borrow for no additional charge! There are 2 small steps from the wooden path that connects the street to the sand but we were able to bring the beach wheelchair backwards over the steps without a problem, if the user cannot walk down them. There may be a ramp or beach matts from the street to the sand, but not the at road immediately adjacent to Patra's. We stayed at Patra's for seven nights this past August. And I have to say, this was our best Old Orchard Beach Vacation yet! Although we have been coming to Old Orchard Beach for 10 years, this was our first time at this motel, and my two daughters and myself loved it!! First off the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were nice and have great water pressure, the WIFI was awesome, and anything that we needed was taken care of. Secondly, the whole set up was adorable. A courtyard with an outdoor shower, picnic tables, and grills for the guests to use. And the kitchen had all the utensils I needed. It was very family friendly. Plus, the motel is sooooo close to the beach, which was practically empty. Owners Paul and Patra were so friendly and ready to help us with anything we needed. We loved our time there, and are definitely going back. This is our new summer...

This motel is very clean and comfortable.....We enjoyed our stay so very much......The owners of the motel ,Patra and Paul are so accommodating and very friendly....so it made our stay that much more enjoyable.......The maid that did the cleaning and the daily maid service was so nice and friendly and made sure we were ok everyday...I know we will return year after year because this will be our old orchard beach vacation destination...........I will definitely recommend this motel to everyone that wants a nice and clean motel so close to the beach...........We...
