Area around the hotel is less than desirable. The sketchy atmosphere felt unsafe and run-down, with little to offer in terms of attractions or amenities. Rooms are dilapidated and in desperate need of renovation. The furniture is old and worn-out, the mattresses are old and sunken in with broken springs. I had to change rooms because the first rooms bed I sat on, I literally sunk all the way down and almost fell off. On top of that, whenever I stay at hotels, I tend to pull back the sheets and check the mattresses for pests. So I did this at my stay at this hotel and the mattresses were uncomfortable, and visibly worn and in poor condition feeling both grimy and sunken. The repairs at the hotel were shoddy and poorly executed. It is clear that little effort was put into maintaing the property and the results were an eyesore that destracted from any semblance of comfort or enjoyment during our stay.
After almost falling through the bed, I told the front desk attendant, she gave me another room. I went to check this room before moving all my things over and it wasn't cleaned yet. I saw the pillows and the bed unmade and they were absolutely discusting. I went back to the front and she issued me another room. I went and checked this one and it was also not cleaned yet. I went back to the window for the 4th time and was assigned another room that was "cleaned" this time. Upon entering all of the rooms, it was evident that they had not been adequately cleaned or maintained on a regular basis. Dust and grime were visible on surfaces and the bathroom had not been properly sanitized. Dirty floor edges all around the room, along with baseboards, walls, and the sheets were stained. Luckily, I had taken a beach trip the weekend before and had extra linens in the car. I used those to put on top of our bed and used my blanket and covered the pillows with another one of my blankets. The unsanitary environment made us not want to touch anything in the room.
The only thing positive I can say about this hotel is the front desk attendant who was trying her hardest to be accomodating with what she had to work with. She was very nice about everything given the circomstances and poor condition of the rooms on the property.
Overall, my experience at Days Inn in Ontario was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If I could give this hotel a zero stars...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE. DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD. THIS HOTEL WILL DOUBLE CHARGE YOU AND NOT REFUND YOU. I PREPAID for a room here via Hotels.com on 5/16/19. I arrived to check in, gave my ID and debit card to VERIFY it was my debit card (as you must do at ALL hotels). ** I TOLD THE CLERK I JUST PAID ON HOTELS.COM.** He apparently didn't hear me, didn't check, or didn't care. And their computer system did not recognize or alert that the room was ALREADY PAID FOR. I discovered this Days Inn hotel had charged me TWICE for the same room when I went to buy FOOD that evening and my card was declined. I immediately brought it to the night clerk's (Sheila) attention. She verified that the day clerk indeed charged me a second time. I waited in office while she supposedly contacted "the boss." Had to return to my room, so I gave her my cell phone number. Never heard from anyone. Returned to the office hours later. Sheila said they would reverse the charge, but "it could take UP TO 3 DAYS to see it in my bank account." It's now been 10 days since the overcharge. I've contacted the hotel, contacted Wyndham corporate, and contacted Hotels.com several times... and still NO REFUND. Nobody Cares. MY CHECKING ACCOUNT IS NOW IN THE RED BECAUSE OF DAYS INN DOUBLE CHARGING ME. I've made NO other purchases. As of today, 5/24/19, I'm filing an official complaint with the California BBB and filing a small claims court suit for the amount I was overcharged AND the additional costs AND NSF fees caused by them. I see Hotels.com as complicit in this fraud. They could've reimbursed me THEIR charge since Days Inn would not. They have not been remotely helpful in getting my money back. They are just as culpable in this. I'd recommend you NEVER stay at ANY Wyndham hotel or Days Inn and NEVER book...
Read moreThis place is nothing more than a bed to stay in. We got a smoking room, fridge, and microwave. The fridge did NOT work and had this dark green liquid EVERYWHERE puddled insided, it smelled so bad that we had to leave the door open when we checked it. So the fridge was checked off. The microwave didn't have the proper plate inside, so it didn't spin, all food heated up un evenly or not at all. The beds were terrible, almost like a wooden beam was placed in the center, and the sides were a free for all. The room was filthy, tagging, and dirt EVERYWHERE. It seems like they employ transients to pick up the grounds as well, at least 4 different ones we noticed cleaning during our stay. The location itself is okay because of all the food spots around you. There's a liquor store attached to it, which was a huge bonus. Since there was no fridge, we NEEDED ice, so that was a plus. But all in all I'm only giving 2 stars because on our 2nd night my GF needed safety pins and the lady upfront helped us lol, but I'm probably gonna lower it because the fridge really ruined everything. We even checked out a WHOLE DAY EARLY, there's no fee, so why not. I'd rather be home where I can do whatever than here with all this extra stuff. So, to conclude it, if you're just tryna get lit and sleep after a good night out this is the spot, that's literally it nothing else added to it...
