The hotel was very nice the food was good and the guest services and servers were very polite.
My experience with housekeeping was not. There was blood on my sheets they made my bed with dirty sheets, didn’t clean the dishes and kitchen and didn’t replace my floor mat which is a hazard I could have fallen. I complained and it was corrected the next day.
The night of check In I witnessed one of your Caucasian women managers be very rude and belligerent to a black young man who needed a room to stay for the night. He appeared to be in need and had little money. The guest service agent didn’t see him tap his phone for payment and when he asked. For a physical card the young man did not have a card. The agent even admitted that if he saw him he would have mentioned it to him. There wasn’t anything posted your terms and conditions. When he called the managers she came out very defensive, rude and belittling the young man instead of taking ownership of their error and accommodate the young man for their error. This young man was calm and asking for his refund so that he could find somewhere else to go. The women manager wouldn’t listen to home. instead threaten to call the police if he doesn’t exit the hotel. My thought is she is prejudice and that she’s does this to many people of color. When I reported her the next day everyone knew exactly who I was talking about which again says she does this to many people of color.
When I travel I always utilize your services but I’m am reconsidering me being a customer if this is how your management company treat people of color.
The day of my checkout a friend that I was accompanying we both set in your lawn chairs in the pool area. My friend fell thru the chairs she already has back issues. This is unacceptable. The GM had to remove 4 or more chairs that were dry rotten due to this issue. He did provide ice and ask if she needed to see a paramedic but we didn’t have time or I would have missed my flight back to Maryland. I received a credit of one night but honestly my entire stay should have been covered due to theses issues.
Also as a member I have never had to pay a $150 deposit on top of my original payment.
As a a women of color I felt thats we were racially charged and additional fees and that this is a normal practice at this location.
I would like a call to discuss as well as ask that that manager be terminated.
Thanks...
Read moreDisappointed. Spent nearly 3 weeks here. Drove 9 hours and had to wait another 1-1/2 hours to get my key b/c they "must" have a CC card for incidentals which I provided but was rejected. The ENTIRE stay was already ensured by my company's corporate card which was provided to pay for ALL 21 days. They would not provide me with a key until I got someone from my company fill out some form first. Seemed a bit silly to make me stand there until this form was returned. How much in "incidentals" could I run up in 1 night??|Next. Moved all my stuff (there for 3 weeks working - I had a lot of stuff, clothing, monitors, food, etc.) up to the 5th floor room and the key would not work. I had to call the front desk b/c I was not going to move all of that stuff back down to the lobby. Manager on duty promptly came up, apologized and said they were moving me to another room on the 4th floor because they were not able to fix the key issue. Lug all of my stuff back to the elevator, down to the 4th and into my new room. Got settled around 9pm, worked until 1am when preparing for sleep, realized the AC would not adjust down. Sweated through the night (I like it cold) with the temperature at 73 degrees and informed them about the A/C in the morning. NOT a good first.|A/C went out halfway through the stay and AGAIN on the last night I was there. In the last 2 instances, I was offered a different room but didn't want to move all of my gear. Alternatively, they switched out the AC unit in the room each time.|I had to use an outside laundry service because the hotel's service doesn't "launder" clothing, only "dry cleaning" is available. I was directed to the in-house washing/drying machines but I explained that it's simply much more efficient for me to use a service rather than wait for the machine cycles. Not a huge deal but Laundry service is a bit misleading.|Throughout all of this I received a few insincere apologies from the Front Desk (rather aloof to be certain) BUT the repair techs were very gracious, considerate and fast.|I'm a big Marriott fan. Stay at Marriott properties everywhere I can. The cleaning staff was great, great location, decent room (toaster was broke), breakfast was decent (need bacon on occasion ;)) gym was better than most.|If/when I return, I'll probably request another Marriott property or go VRBO/AirBnb.|I hope someone from Marriott...
Read moreKrystal Noble has a super star team in place at this hotel. I must be honest. I've not been a fan of the Residence Inn until I stayed here.
First, meet Ianka! She's at the front desk ready to get you checked in and address any room issues. When I met her my cheeks started burning and I quickly found out why underneath my mask I was smiling hard as a chest cat. Why? Because Ianka smile is so contagious even under her masks you feel the joyous welcome and the positiveness oozes from her. I knew from that moment on I was going to enjoy my 7 day 6 night stay. She's quick, efficient and welcoming. Must ask for her when checking in to see what I mean.
Second, I met the Chef Jose from Brooklyn New York the following morning at the breakfast Cafe area. He too was simply friendly and welcoming. I immediately felt comfortable enough to ask him about making me a waffle. He welcome the joke as we all know you make your own waffles by the line up of clean waffle machines along one wall in the room. He made sure the areas to choose the food was clean and the food looked fresh and edible. He also gave me great tips after laughing hearty at me for asking for a chef made waffle, about the daily menu items and when to come quickly to make sure I get those items. He also explained which I never noticed until then how all the staff had name tags but also included was where they are from. Nice touch Residence Inn to create that conversation atmosphere between customer and customer service. Jose and my husband and I used that as a starting point to further our morning chat.
Third, I met the lady of the hour Krystal herself! I had a little concern that Krystal quickly addressed by email and before I knew it we too had a friendly chat via email that had me smiling.
I'm here to tell you. Anyone you meet at this hotel is super friendly and inviting from top down. This place is clean and secure with the gate at parking and security guard. Rooms are spacious and clean and user friendly arranged. This hotel is also not in the hustle and bustle of traffic so it grants you time to figure out your bearing and super close to the main highway. This place stands up to its Marriott brand name. A must try! I will definitely be back for an...
