Recently one of my great friends and bridesmaids, who works at a Sephora, wanted to gift me with getting my makeup done there. She made an appointment for me at 10am, November 5th (aka, the day of my wedding), and I arrived at 955. I was initially greeted by a very lovely gentleman, who took me to a chair and got another employee to start checking me in. She was also very kind. My friend was running late, as always, and there was some confusion upon check in. Just then this incredibly rude woman named Marisol started asking me questions about some VIP Rouge program, I was very overwhelmed and I asked her to explain it to me. Her explanation was that it was "a Sephora rewards program that begins tomorrow and would make your makeup application free." My polite, but very confused response was "if this program begins tomorrow, why are you asking me if I have it today? I do have a Sephora card, My friend set this up for me. I'm getting married today and this is my bridal makeup application." Marisol then told me I needed to purchase a 50 dollar gift card in order to start the services. I politely informed her that my friend was running late and that this was her gift to me, that this was my wedding day and I had a hair appointment at noon I couldn't be late for. She then rudely took me to the makeup artist's chair, where I was left for no less than 20 minutes confused and highly upset. Finally, I flagged her down and asked her what the hold up was. She said my friend still wasn't here and I couldn't begin services without paying for the 50 dollar gift card. The world has never seen anyone pull out a debit card more angrily in their lives. Instead of being treated like a bride on her wedding day, I was treated like some freeloading garbage human who was there to take advantage of their services. Marisol's level of apathy and rudeness was just appalling, and the only time in my wedding planning experience that I actually became "bridezilla."
The only reason I'm giving this awful experience two stars, is because the woman who applied my make up was an absolute doll. Her name was Bridgette, and she was so sweet and did a FANTASTIC job. So please, if anyone from that Sephora location sees this review: Tell Bridgette I really appreciate her hard work and personality. However, I will never set foot in that location again.
So thank you Sephora at the Millenia Mall for making me feel totally worthless on my wedding day, with the exception of Bridgette. I really can't rave about her enough. She and my friend saved that experience. Sincerely, One gorgeously pissed off bride
PS: I just checked my Sephora bag, and I didn't actually even get that stupid 50 dollar gift card I was forced...
Read moreTHE WORST Sephora I have ever been to! I am a VIB Rouge member and needless to say I spend quite a bit of money at Sephora. I went in to this location because I am looking for a new foundation and I wanted to try some higher end ones in person. I have weird combo skin with large pores, so finding a foundation I like is a nightmare. As I’m looking around, I’m hounded by several salespeople even though I said I’m fine and just looking. I finally cave and say I’m on the hunt for new foundation. Salesperson suggests a brand I hadn’t considered, tried it on me-I hate it. I politely said thanks very much, I just don’t want anything that sits in my pores and I’m going to keep looking. As I’m looking around, the same salesperson follows me around and comes up to me repeatedly and first of all suggests primer (which I am aware of and I use) then suggests changing my skincare routine, then tells me my pores are huge and I need to focus on procedures to improve my skin instead of finding foundation!!! First of all, my skin is under the care of a dermatologist and it’s way better than what it was a year ago. Second of all, I was there to shop for foundation not skincare and not be insulted. Lastly, just because I don’t want the same cakey overly made up look this salesperson had doesn’t mean I need better skincare, I just need the right foundation. Which, by the way, I found at Neiman Marcus where the sales person was actually helpful. Whoever the manager is at the Millenia location needs to be replaced because you are clearly incapable of training your staff. At least tell them to leave people alone and let them look around. It would have been a much better experience and at least I wouldn’t have felt...
Read moreTerrible customer service for online orders at this store. I typically shop online, or at the Waterford Lakes location. The products I wanted/ ordered online were only all available at Millenia. When I entered the store, I wasn’t greeted. I didn’t realize there was an online order pickup station at the front of the store. The cashier was kind and directed me where I needed to go.
However, the associate at the pickup station again didn’t greet me. As I walked up, she ignored me and began speaking with another customer behind me. When she finished answering the other customers questions, she stared at me. I told her I was here to pick up an online order. Another associate, Bella, walked by. The girl looked at Bella and said “you’ve got her, right?”
Thank you Bella for your help— truly, she was the kindest person and quickly retrieved my order. As I was leaving, I looked at my products and noticed that the YSL gift set I picked up had a damaged box— scuff marks, creases, and looked raggedy. This was a birthday gift, so I found the same product in the store and asked the same associate working the online order station to switch the set for the undamaged box. She told me to wait the line so a cashier could exchange the product. It was a busy night, with about 15 customers in line ahead of me. When I got to the front of the line and requested the switch the box, the cashier told me an exchange was unnecessary and simply switched the boxes. Unreal.
What should have been and in-and-out errand took over 30 minutes. I would have been better off shopping in person.
For online orders, terrible customer service. Will avoid this location...
