Mattress Firm Owensboro Kentucky — Hotel in Owensboro

We purchased an $8,000 mattress set in June 2022 from Mattress Firm, Owensboro, Kentucky. After 3 weeks they delivered the wrong set which was much cheaper on June 9, 2022. James the store manager had told us the mattress set would sit inside our bed frame. The 2 Middle East foreigners (who said they could not speak English) delivered the wrong set to our house and the wrong set to another house 8 miles from us we later discovered. To get the mattress set in our bed frame they took a screw driver & hammer and ripped out the side rails splintering the bed and tearing big chunks out of the rails. Our bed is a Tom Blue custom made cherry bed. We told them to stop & not to leave the bed. They acted as if they did not understand. We called the Owensboro store who gave us the name of the deliver company in Louisville. We called Charles the supervisor. He admitted they delivered the wrong mattress. I also talked to Chris Mitchell the Mattress Firm DM. I got a bid to repairs the side rails for $700. It is now 53 days after the Mattress Firm Delivery Team destroyed our bed. After a dozen calls and one excuse after another, one more piece of paperwork; that they always seem to add on after they told me I did not complete all the requirements previously there is NO compensation for the repairs. This is a custom, handmade cherry bed and even the repairs will not restore its full value and they know it! Prior going to the Owensboro location, I went to Terre Haute on my way back from a trip where I was introduced to the bed I had to have. My husband and I was told they could not get accurate lead time because the office was closed. Anyhow, upon arrival Isaac told me the unit was in stock? I said great!! Ring it up, that’s when everything changed. Eager to get this bed I went along with it. He said he’d call the next day to update me for a delivery date. Three days passed, I called to get an update. Isaac of course was off so I asked the associate I was talking to if he could help. He stated he was busy but would be sure to call before end of day. No call lol… My next call, I asked to speak to the manager. Well he was who I spoke to previously. Ughhhh! I canceled the Oder at that moment!! Luckily, I found another mattress firm in Owensboro, and a wonderful associate more than happy to assist me with a $4,000 bed!! Kyle did not skip a beat!!! He helped me in every possible way!! Being in retail myself, this is the customer service I give and expect the same in return!!! So the wife and myself and our 1-year-old daughter. We're looking for a new mattress and decided to check out mattress firm. We walked in and there was no one to be found. Come to find out multiple people had called in sick and was only one person to be able to run the store all day. So honestly no complaint there. People need to learn to be more understanding of businesses, especially when they're short-staffed and overworked. I spoke to the gentleman and gave him a price range and kind of what we were looking for. The man was very kind. Let us check out as many things as we wanted to. We finally found the mattress that fit our budget and our 1000% happy with our purchase. We ended up getting a 12-in memory foam king size bed and I haven't slept this good and honestly a few years. Mattress firm has definitely earned my future business. Also they have many and I do mean many mattresses in stock so we didn't have to wait for a delivery or any of that nonsense.
