I'm wondering if this business even needs the money their patrons come in to spend. Not 15 minutes ago I was in this shop to check out their assortment of vintage comic stock. Of course they keep those particular books behind the counter, and I do not blame them. I asked the employee who was up front at the time if I could look through those books? He replies "Yes." I stood there for a moment, waiting for him to get up from the computer to help me to which he didn't. I chuckled and asked, "Do I need to go back there to look or what?" He says "NO." Gets up from the computer, grabs a box, sets it on the counter and goes and sits back down at the computer. I go through the box of books, and when I'm finished, seeing he wasn't in any hurry to attend to me, I put that box back and grabbed the next. As soon as he noticed that I had grabbed another box, he then comes over and tells me that I needed to let him know, and he would get me the next box. No problem. I go through the second box and while doing that, a regular customer and some others customers who weren't with him came in. The regular went towards the back talking to the fellow who was up front. That particular employee decided to follow, while another came up front. The two other customers who had just walked in were asking for some store flyers. They were helped and sent on their merry way. At that point, the regular who had come into the store a few minutes prior strikes up a conversation with the employee who had just come from the back about if the two customers were saying "flyers" or "fire." All this while I'm standing to the side waiting for another box. I stood for several minutes while they had their little conversation about flyers or fire until I finally had enough and proceeded to walk out the door letting them know that I wouldn't be back. Clearly, their customer service is lacking. It's a wonder, they've been open as long as they have. If you want to buy comics in Owensboro, Ky, go to Country Market Flea Market, the gentleman there will be more than happy with helping you out, don't waste your time with the clowns...
Read moreStarted going in there during that time after covid locked down when you still couldn't really go out and do a lot but you could go out and shop and do things in small groups at home. First one in there to buy some Pokemon cards for a friend's kid, they were having trouble getting any new ones. anyway I went in there and bought some used ones and the kid was equally happy, the guy behind the counter was really nice and gave us some free stuff (stickers and a folder I think, and a coloring book) basically just to be nice because we were a new customer and because I think he understood that a lot of kids were missing out on Pokemon cards because adults were trying to make money. The guy also explained to me a lot about D&D, I was going to be playing it for the first time kind of third time, but the first full session. Others those were practice sessions. A lot of people were trying new things like that because they couldn't really get out or go travel to see friends, lots of video/phone conferences just to hang out. Guy actually gave me some basic printer printout character sheets for free to fill out even though I offered to pay for them. I didn't know there was an app that let you do a character sheet then, and I don't actually own a printer, My job is paperless. Since then I've come in every now and then I bought a comic, usually for nostalgic reasons, D&D dice, and 8bitdo control. I honestly don't do a lot of business there but I've done some. But I can tell you the people are always really nice, and incredibly accommodating. It just kind of struck me today that I should really...
Read moreBeware when you purchase from them, they lie. I purchased a original game boy along with original Game Boy charger for $400 not just pennies. It was labeled complete in box which led me to believe that’s what it was, but my curiosity got the best of me at home and I opened the box and it was not complete. It was missing more than one item and the game itself was in quite poor condition I feel like I’ve been hustled, this was an outrageous price to pay for this incomplete poor condition item they had so carefully saran wrapped very well. Looking around on common places like Ebay I could’ve easily gotten better than this for almost half the price complete inbox means everything’s there including the pieces of Styrofoam. The lid to the Styrofoam box is missing that is not complete paperwork that comes in the box is missing that is not completecame with a battery pack inside of them. They were not there. I’m not trying to be a grumpy person. We’re talking big...
