HORRIBLE - Do not stay here. It is an awful motel. We have stayed at Motel 6 in many places and this one is the WORST. Came into California from out of state to see a concert. They didn’t have our reservation when we got there…they charged someone else’s credit card when I made my original reservation using their app. It was an unexpected expense when we arrived to find no reservations and had to pay for the room. No big deal, but a pain in the rear since we had been traveling all day.
The room was dirty. I found some crazy stain on the mattress when checking for bed bugs…not sure, but certainly did look like blood. Yeah, it was one of those places where you immediately check for bed bigs because it’s QUESTIONABLE. We spent $200 on new bedding, pillows, and towels to try and stay comfortably since we were forced to stay there that night. We couldn’t get another hotel room so late in the day and we were NOT using any of the stuff there. We laid blankets on top of their bedding and PRAYED to the Sweet Lord that we would make it through the night without contracting some crazy disease during our stay. There was actually a mattress outside by the dumpster that looked better than the one we had to sleep on.
I bought shoes to shower in and was sad to discover that the tub barely drained and there was a visible ring of grime in the tub. We couldn’t shower either. We began to pray harder…mostly for the strength to not freak the F out.
It was a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG night of trying to sleep on the lumpy mattress with decomp stains on it, that’s for sure. We canceled our next night and found another hotel to stay at the next morning. We had to wait for that room to be ready…for 6 hours…in a public park because we were all not showered and looked like we had all been hit by a Mack truck.
Ten out of ten WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! You’d be better off sleeping on...
Read morePulled into Indio at 11pm after 12 hours driving, went to this place because I figured a company like motel 6 would at least be clean. How wrong I was! The motel is on a busy road but at night you can’t see that the other side of that road is a major freight train line and every hour or so a freight train speeds by for 20 minutes literally shaking the floor, these trains are speeding by because they want to spend as little time as possible near this motel.||||There were dead and alive bugs all over the floor and bed in the room, I asked at the desk and the woman said “yeah, it happens this time of year” and went back to watching TV on her phone. Returning to the room I tried to shake out the bed and found that the top sheet had a smear of blood on it, and the bottom sheet had a cigarette burn in it. I got a sleeping bag from my car.||||All night long the couple in the next room were opening and closing the door and going back and forth to their car and arguing right outside my door. I could see them both because the curtain on the window had two big holes ripped in it. There was hair in the shower and a half used roll of toilet paper. The towel looked like a stiff gas station rag so I got my own from my car.||||I have worked in Central America, Africa and Eastern Europe, and this is the nastiest place o have stayed. The blood smear on the sheets was award winning grossness, the complete lack of concern by staff was epic and it was topped off by people yelling at each other all night in the parking lot, the only time all night I couldn’t hear them was during the the hourly freight train roar.||||Sleep in your car, find a dumpster to stay in, ask for a room at the local whore house or just spend the night in the ER. Any of these options will both be safer and expose you to fewer body fluids than staying at...
Read moreStayed here yesterday as of writing (3/29-3/30) while we were in Palm Desert to see a show. I think it’s unbelievable that this is the only place in Palm Desert that was under $130, because this place is atrocious; you definitely get what you pay for.
First off, the location is extremely ghetto and has no shortage of people tweaking in the parking lot . Our room reeked strongly of cleaning chemicals, so much so that my Asthma started acting up. In addition, the floors were dusty and appeared as if they hadn’t been swept in months, and our room didn’t have a remote.
On top of that, given the shady location you’d think this place would have a safe for you to put your valuables in right? Nope! They even have a note on the bathroom door stating such. There was also a huge crack on the wall next to the bathtub that ran from the tub knob to the end of the tub. We also found a used condom in between the side of the bed when I went to grab my phone that had fell in that area. I’ll spare you the details of that discovery.
The entrance to the front desk also had a Blue Lives Matter sticker on it which I thought was off-putting; I’ve never seen a motel/hotel that announces their political affiliations, and given the current state of our country I felt it was distasteful, even as someone who is politically in the middle.
We left before checkout and I have zero interest in returning. You’re better off spending more for a clean room than a place that does the bare minimum + shoves their political stance down your throat. 0/10 if I...
