Legends & Icons Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Palm Desert

Been here 5 times in the last two weeks. Kept it simple. A couple of beers and 1 appetizer. Became somewhat friendly with the staff so I thought I might bring some creativity and introduced a mixed drink they have never made before. 1 part titos 1 part triple sec and filled with pineapple juice. Erica and Bobby, the bartenders loved it. Erica suggested I add taijin as I asked her to create one. Thinking it was helpful entertainment to create a drink on the spot, I allowed the inclusion. Erica made it with a grin but proceeded to split the shot and give the other half to an employee. No problem. I'm willing to share my creation. 9 bucks. Ok. Word got around very quickly and other employers wanted to try. Ummm sure ok.

Erica : do you want another, these two want to try it?

Me : ok. I'm curious what they think of this creation.

One shot. Now split 3 ways for two other employees. I didn't really agree to that but I guess any chance for them to get a piece of the action was as good as any.

Very underwhelming reaction. They basically took it and ran, killing the vibe. The least they could have done was give me feedback. Nope.

I decided it was time to go.

Only to find out she charged me for 2 shots for the last order that she split 3 ways. Really?? This is what I get for introducing a new creation?? I asked why she charged me for two shots that she split 3 ways after she split the first shot 2 ways and her answer was that I asked the other employees to try it. So what? You gave me half an order for the first that you charged a full drink and 1/3 of an order for the second that you have the nerve to charge double for??? Yikes.

Well, since you charged me an extra 9 bucks, I'll give you a 1 dollar tip. Both of my drinks were split into nothingness so for them to charge me 3x the amount, I'm not happy. Here's the receipt. Hope this bar crashes and gets bought out. That kind of service irks tf out of me. Cheap and buzz killing. I'll find another...

JUST MOVED HERE INTO SHADOW HILLS SENIOR COMMUNITY DOWN THE STREET. BEEN TO THIS RESTRANT 7-8 TIMES WITH FAMILY. TONIGHT MY WAITRESS, WHO WORKS THE BACK BOOTH AREA OF THE RESTARANT GAVE MY WIFE AND I THE WORST, RUDE, DISREPECTABLE SERVICE WE CAN REMEMBER. WE BOTH ORDERED DINNER AND HER DINNER CAME OUT GOOD AS USUAL BUT MY FISH CAME OUT MUSHY AND UNDER COOKED. WHEN I TOLD HER THAT THE FISH WAS MUSHY, INSTEAD OF APPOLIGIZING AND ASKING ME IF SHE COULD GET ME SOMETHING ELSE, SHE TOOK THE PLATE AND RUSHED OFF WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. MY SODA NEED FILLED ALONG WITH MY WIFES ICE TEA SO SHE CAME BY AGAIN AND ONLY FILLED HER ICE TEA AND MY SODA THAT WAS RIGHT NEXT TO IT AT THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE TABLE "SHE IGNORED". I FINALLY HAD TO ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO FILL IT. i WAITED ABOUT TEN MINUTES AND THEN SHE CAME BY AFER MY WIFE HAD FINISHED HER DINNER AND THEN SHE FINALLY ASKED IF i WANTED ANYTHING ELSE!! MY WIFE SAID YES HE DID 10 MINUTES AGO SO AGAIN ALL SHE REPLIED WAS "FINE I GUESS THAT HE DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING ELSE", THAT WAS 10 MINUTES LATER SO OUR EVENING OUT WAS THEN RUINED. USUALLY ORDER DESERT BUT WAS TOO UPSET TO STAY ANY LONGER. I WENT TO THE BAR AND COMPLAINED TO THE MANAGER BUT HE NEVER CAME OVER EITHER. HE DID SAY HE WOULD LOOK INTO IT. WHO KNOWS??? I ASSUME THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE USUALLY BUSY," WHO CARES" ABOUT A COUPLE SENIORS EVEN IF THEY HAD BEEN COMING IN FOR 9 WEEKS REGULARLY. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND TIME IN 50 YEARS WE HAVE HAD BAD SERVICE LIKE THIS AND FELT LIKE GIVING A POOR SERVICE REPORT!! I KEPT MY RECIEPT TO SEND TO THE OWNER. NOT HIS FAULT BUT HE DOES NEED...

I just came to this place on 4/17/25 at 10:30am my family and I have been to this location multiple times and love it, but today the bartender brought us the menus and asked us if we wanted something to drink, when my grandma asked her if they had coke, the bartender said no we have Pepsi… my grandma said respectfully oh no never mind I don’t like Pepsi and then the bartender skipped over her and asked me what I wanted, when I asked her what she had she had a nasty look on her face and listed a few choices. I chose and she just walked away without going back to my grandma… she came back and had Pepsi and my sprite. I respectfully said oh I’m sorry she said she didn’t want Pepsi…. The bartender then said to my grandma throwing her hands up “THEN WHAT DO WANT”. Me and my grandma both looked at Eachother in show the amount of disrespect we got from her was unacceptable!!!! we told her that we think we are going somewhere else because that was rude and the bartender said “FINE BY ME” we like coming here but after today not sure if we’ll be back! SHE NEEDS A ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT! IF SHE DOESNT LIKE HER JOB MAYBE SHE NEEDS TO FIND SOMETHING...
