Suneez Window Tinting — Local services in Palm Desert

If I could give them "0" stars I would. I am so disappointed with this companies unethical antics and poor customer service. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

When we first met Chad back in 2018, he presented as a charismatic, self absorbed, fast talker, telling lots of stories about himself and his "spiritual journey". We were in the middle of a full home renovation and Suneez was referred to us by the guy who installed our blinds (who I will let know of my experience).

Chad smooth talked his way to getting us to pay 100% of the job, up front, to secure an amazing deal to have all our windows and glass doors tinted. By the way it is illegal in California to ask for or accept a down payment of more than 10% the total home improvement contract price of $1,000 , which ever is less, according to the Contractor State License Board.

At the time the contract was drawn up and we paid in full, this included all the glass windows and doors, with the exception of the upper windows which (he confirmed at the time) already had film on them. We paid him $2500 for the job.

Fast forward to late October 2020, and a rock from under the gardeners mover goes through one of our sliding doors. This is when we discover that the living room sliding panels don't appear to have tint on them. When I call Chad and send him photos, he determines that indeed something looks funny, but not to stress he will go by and check it out and make it right. Well that was six months ago.

After multiple phone calls and texts I manage to get hold of him just before my senior father arrives. He tells me to text him again, which I do and no response! Then out of nowhere he says he is on his way. Yahoo! I call my father who informs me Chad is there. But, get this, confirms there is no tint on the living room doors, but we never paid him for that, he says they did the upper windows. This is absolutely false, as ours and the other property owners in our complex already had tinted upper windows, and it is evident even to the fellow Chad brought with him that the tints don't match. Why would we have all the windows and doors done with the exception of the living room doors that span the back of our home and are the most open to the elements?

Then he tells my father it will be $5,000 to do the glass sliding door panels (but for us he'll do it for $2,500).

This is where I stepped back in, as it was clear he was trying to take advantage of a senior. I told Chad that this is unconscionable and I hope that he does the right thing. My dad spoke to him yesterday and he told my father that he could not work with us.

This company is not accredited anymore with the BBB. We are Canadian, and perhaps too trusting. We are in the process of proceeding with small claims, another first. However, I feel I have a responsibility to make others aware of this company.

Please go somewhere else. There is other reputable, honest window treatment places in Palm Springs.

Not only do they provide a quality product that lasts many years, his team also has quality attitudes to match!
