Del Taco — Restaurant in Palm Desert

Del Taco was terrible upon our visit June 26th, 2022 at 11:30pm. We went through the drive-thru, we needed 2 separate orders... one was being paid by card & the other was cash. The cashier told us that they weren't doing separate orders. So we placed one order consisting of a beef & cheese burrito with red sauce (the cashier asked if I wanted red or green), 4 queso quesadillas, a regular taco and a kids meal hamburger (cheeseburger) and a large coke. We got to the window paid for our food. Upon receiving our food we asked the cashier if "instead of going back around through the drive-thru again, can we place a new order here at the window and pay with a debit card? " He said "yes", which technically ended up being two separate orders anyway (SMH). We then ordered 4 chicken burritos. He asked us for our previous bags from our first order. Upon receiving all of our food (2 separate orders) together this time we checked the food. Our napkins & sauce packets were now gone. We were missing 2 Queso quesadillas (supposed to be 4), the hamburger in the kids meal had only a patty & buns. No ketchup, no lettuce, no cheese, no nothing!!! The beef and cheese burrito with red sauce that I ordered only came with refried beans; No cheese, no red sauce, no beef just refried beans wrapped in a tortilla!!! The cashier didn't even give us our receipt that we asked for twice. It's bad enough at the window the cashier was wearing a mask and talking low, so when the window was open their window air blowing was blowing super loud that we couldn't barely hear anything the cashier was saying. I’m not much of a complainer and I try not to make a big deal about things but in this situation it was spiteful. At the drive thru after a LONG shift of Ubering all evening and night, it’s not about 3:30AM and I order my meal nobody is here I’m the only car mind you. I ask for fresh fries and when I get my food I had cold fries that have been sitting for over an hour- my meat and cheese and tortilla were not hot at all and the quesedilla cheese wasn’t melted and Tortilla was cold on that too. I looped back around and asked for fresh fries and stated these have been sitting there for a while the guy said ok I’ll make you fresh fries and here’s the dick move he added so much salt I couldn’t even eat them. But they were fresh. After a long shift and hungry this is the worse situation to be in especially when your looking forward to eating that. If you work for Any job take pride in what you do and be considerate to people that are looking forward to eating at this establishment or any establishment. People spend their hard earned money and expect great service with Good hot fresh food. I eat at every del taco in the Coachella Valley this was the worse experience I’ve had in a long time and I eat everywhere with 5.2 Million views on my google maps. If you don’t want to serve people or don’t like your job find another one. Maybe management needs to train these kids collecting a check to have better customer service and show them how to heat up the food and not add so much salt to fresh fries!!! Be careful going here I would tell you over and over again not to. First off they got my order wrong so I had to go inside to complain about the order the older lady working there gave me an attitude and said she wasn't going to remake my order. So I canceled my order she took the food back and drink. She said the money would return to my card in a couple days it has been 3 weeks and my money still hasn't returned. So not only did they get the food and drinks back but the also stole my money. Very disappointing I will be reaching out to their corporate office this is truly ridiculous and disappointing. I would never refer people to this place. The best one by Miles in Palm Desert this place is unsanitary, rude, extremely bad customer service I am still disappointed they stole $21.41 😤 this happened 11-18-23 disrespectful place and employees there. I would send a picture of my bank statement but because of security reasons I can not screen shot my account. Beware they will take the food and drinks back but steal your money. When I left there I went to the Del Taco by Miles and ordered the same food and it was outstanding compared to this place. I ordered 2 EPIC LOADED QUESO BURRITOS 🌯 and a macho blue powerade.
