We spent 4 nights in the Nomad inside their Grand Suite. Originally we did the King Classic, however they generously offered an upgrade.
Right out of the gate, the staff was very thoughtful and friendly. When it came to requesting for additional needs, they had already inquired about our needs before we provided. They provided extra items for the room, mini fridge, extra luggage stand, bluetooth support. etc. First thing, I love that the doesn’t feel like your typical Vegas hotel. Feels like a getaway from the touristy crowd. The hotel and casino separated by a door (steps away from the elevator which is still convenient), that way we don’t inhale the smoke or see the slot bright slot machines— which keeps with the cozy, dark lit setting. It definitely has more of a New York swanky evening feel to the property, even during the daytime, which is closer to home for me and made me feel more relaxed and actually get rest while on vacation. I find also found it to be more luxurious within my preference compared to other Vegas hotels that are much more fast-pace, flashy and draining for me to walk through. The crowd smaller in volume which allows intimacy throughout the hotel and is much more mature as well, which I look for. The decor within the hotel from the lobby to the hallways and rooms have a eclectic feel with mid century, rustic and modern. Love the dry floral arrangements and roses and brass details, marble lamps.
The suite was great, felt like home. Love the set up of the living room with the marble table that allows me to work on the laptop by the brown leather couches. I also appreciate the double doors with locks to the bedroom. Unique touch with the tub being in the bedroom— good for photo opportunities or romantic bath time with your significant other. I also like to point out the small details that make it feel like a home like the photo frames above the bed, butterfly displays and dried framed florals. I enjoyed that they had a nice vanity to lay out your belongings and you can sit down and take your time to get ready. They also have a handy steamer, great for my delicate clothing like silk pieces. As for location, it’s very central and within the MGM hotel chains. There is also a shuttle train that brings you across to the Aria and Bellagio which is super convenient. Some good eats or coffee around the area include Primrose, Nomad Restaurant and Bar (really nice cocktails and live music on Fridays and Saturdays night, Jazz brunch on Sundays), Lala Noodles and Eataly.
Only minor thing— the left side table light by the bed burnt out half way during my stay. I provided a simple note regarding this after the end of my stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time and would highly recommend anyone who’s looking for more of a relaxed, intimate and mature setting. Many thanks goes to their entire staff, including Tim, Joel, Josh and Laverne for their kindness and...
Read moreThe room was lovely and the view from the room was stunning, The beds were incredibly comfy and the linens were top end, The bathroom, especially the shower was everything you could hope for in a luxurious hotel. The towels were fluffy and plentiful and there was a steamer in the closet along with an assortment of padded coat hangers. There was a fabulous coffee machine and the coffee pods were plentiful and replenished daily as were the multiple bottles of water that were replaced every day, The room was spotless and cleaned daily and the check in process was seamless due to Nomad's private check in desk which was so much quieter from the adjacent MGM one which always had a queue! We had everything we needed except for the one and only thing that I asked for.... a fridge for my essential, expensive medical supplies. |I had requested this when I booked and then on check in i was advised it would be brought up to my room as soon as possible. we went out for the evening after being assured it would be there on our return... it wasn't but i was too tired on my return to chase it up. Fortunately I always travel with my medication in an ice pack so i turned the aircon down low and hoped it would be ok (its an expensive medication costing hundreds of pounds per dose so wasn't going to just throw it away! Anyway i'm still alive so it must have been ok)! There was no point chasing it up after that as after it has been out of the fridge for a certain amount of time it cannot be returned to the fridge ....so we just kept the room really cold.|When we came to check out it seemed as though the person on the desk was perhaps new as he tried to charge us for our complete stay plus the incidental hold again! I had to show him my bank account to prove it. He went away and came back with a different amount that we needed to pay, our stay minus the hold and told us that we needed to pay that and then they would release the hold! Again i told him that it was incorrect and he went to get advice and came back with a different amount. When it became obvious we weren't going to pay that either he said he would get the manager, She came out and said that we had misunderstood and that we weren't being charged! The person we had dealt with previously had given us 3 different amounts to pay and wanted our cards so he was absolutely going to charge us so she was obviously just covering his back. As i said he may well have been new, i was just happy i had stood my ground, i also mentioned to the same manager that my fridge had never arrived and she said she would take off one nights resort fee. With hindsight i should have asked for all 4 nights to be removed as we didn't have the fridge for any night!|Regardless it was a lovely room and a lovely hotel but having to fight my corner on checkout and the lack of fridge did sour...
Read moreEVERYTHING about this hotel was amazing! The staff, ambiance, amenities, and location are ALL absolutely fantastic! A much-added bonus is the hotel, casino, restaurants etc. are smoke-free! From the second that we stepped out of the taxi, we were immediately greeted by the bellman who welcomed us, offered us bottled water and let us know where to go as it was our first time staying at this hotel. We checked in with Ryan at the front desk who provided us information about the hotel and the amenities. Ryan was very hospitable and knowledgeable. Initially, the room that we reserved was not showing as available and he worked diligently to ensure we were taken care of which took a few quick minutes. Due to the short time it took to locate our room, which ended up being the room that we reserved, Ryan gave us a voucher for 2 free drinks - $50 value. As we were wrapping up checking in with Ryan, we met Angel. Angel was our concierge who assisted us with bringing our bags up to the room and showing us around our room. Angel was VERY personable and made sure that we were comfortable. Angel expressed that all of the staff at the NoMad takes the guest experience very seriously as they want to make sure that we felt like we were at home while staying at the hotel. Angel spoke with us for a few minutes and prior to leaving our room said that she wanted to give us a voucher to use at one of the restaurants at the hotel as it was our first time at the hotel - $50 value.
The next morning, we went to breakfast at Primrose which is located right in the hotel and had a wonderful breakfast. Then, we went to the NoMad pool – which was very clean & relaxing – only guests of the NoMad hotel are able to use the NoMad pool. However, if you are staying at the NoMad, you are able to also use the Park MGM hotel pool – the NoMad is a boutique hotel inside of the Park MGM hotel.
After the pool we stopped down at the front desk and spoke with Joe as we wanted to see about reservations at the steakhouse in the hotel, Bavette’s. Joe was able to locate a reservation at the exact time we were looking for which he said was close to unheard of as it is difficult to get a reservation for dinner at this restaurant especially the day of. I cannot say enough good things about Bavette’s – it was phenomenal!
Following dinner at Bavette's, we went over and had a drink at NoMad Library - this is a must see!
This hotel is a hidden gem and is so incredibly quiet and quaint – it’s like you are staying on the Strip without all of the noise.
We loved this hotel so much that as we were leaving, we said that we only want to stay at this hotel when we return to Vegas – so much so that we are already looking at dates in the very near...
