There was a man and a dog that wanted to enter into my room without telling me why they wanted to enter. At that time I was not included as to why they wanted access to my room. I thought well it must be important so I allowed them into the room. They were not in the room a Whole 30 seconds. I later spoke to someone who stays at the hotel regularly and they said the dog and the man were sniffing for bed bugs. I found two bed bugs after they had left my room. I was also informed by this lovely human being who has spent many weeks there that in fact if you complain and stay there are bed bugs in your room you are likely to be removed by the police and the owners or managers or someone in charge will tell the police that you are trying to get a free room or a refund and you brought the bed bugs with you. I booked a room and it wasn't what I booked. And then I was not allowed to change rooms. The water came out rusty, then I allowed that to go down the drain then the water looked okay. They would not allow people to use the outside stairwell because it was dangerous. There was only one elevator. Though I was there for surgery and was not feeling well I could not appropriately use the outside stairs to walk to the second floor, however the day after surgery there was a sign on the elevator and the most amazing gentleman took the sign off of the door and allowed my escort and I entry into the elevator so I can get to the second floor and he could escort me to my room. I do believe he was the maintenance man. They said there was a washer and dryer but in fact it was not working. I was told before surgery that I should prepare myself some things to put in the refrigerator so I would not have to worry about it once I had the surgery. And I found the refrigerator would not be cold enough in the space it was plugged into. However in my opinion had the refrigerator been plugged into the room closest to the air conditioner it would have had a better chance at remaining cold or cool. The toilet was very short or should I say close to the ground. While I was there there was an opportunity for the company to replace their air conditioner heaters. So they did this in a very short time however they didn't mention that to make that work you now must use the wall thermostat. Also you are now limited as to how cool you could get it in your room whereas the original AC unit and heating unit all in one was more variable. The breakfast they promised was not at all what they claimed. But In fairness you are not going to starve it just didn't match what they claimed. Garbage was literally everywhere I have never seen that much garbage at a hotel before. Not even during high-stress areas where hurricanes or something else was happening. The staff does not speak English though they were exemplary and lovely they also did not vacuum nor did they mop the bathroom floor or clean much of anything. However In fairness they were lovely and I deeply cared for them and they were wonderful when it came to replacing towels and offering shampoo, soap, TP & cream rinse. These people were overworked to the extreme. I cannot stress enough that I have never seen so much garbage ever at a hotel. In the hallways on every outside door except the front doors and mass amounts of it many many many many many bags. Along with where the dumpster was housed much garbage. I looked to see how many cars were there in the parking lot and I couldn't understand how much garbage there was per person that could be in those vehicles. However that's just commentary on my part not really fair conversation. I really do love people and respect them and admire them for getting up and going to work every day knowing that the bosses May will not have the best interest in mind and they still come to work answer of all of us the best they can. I'm grateful I had a place to lay my head after surgery because I simply couldn't do anything but lay in bed. In all honesty I should have had someone there with me or simply not had...
Read moreI've stayed here several times, never had any issues. Breakfast is a thing of the past, I haven't seen it. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired, and there is no AC in the halls, lobby, or elevator. I spent maybe three nights during my last stay, and I was moved to 3 different rooms.
Our first room was supposed to be one of the exterior hall rooms. I hadn't stayed in one of these rooms previously, but the rooms have been nice every other time, but this room had no A/C, the TV did not work, and a lot of bugs had come in through the balcony screen door, which had holes in it. I couldn't stand it, and asked for a different room that same night.
Our second room was downstairs. This was an upgrade. The TV was larger than in the last room, and it worked! AC worked no problem, it only had a slight mustyness to it for the first 10 minutes. There was the unmistakable scent of mold, and I believe it was a handicap-accessible room, because the "shower" was a corner of the bathroom with a shower curtain on one of those hospital curtain rods. There was nothing to keep the water from getting everywhere, and the drains barely worked. My partner noticed the toilet sounded like it was running everytime the shower was on, but we didn't think much of it. Until I go to shower and as I'm waiting for the water to heat up, which took FOREVER, the toilet began to over flow, and then the two drains on the floor began to spit out black mold, and even though I rushed to turn off the shower, the water kept going and eventually overflowed into the actual room itself, and all into the carpet. Which, I guess explained the mold scent.
The man who worked front desk that night was rude and condescending. I called to ask for help, he told me that I seemed to be having a lot of issues whilst arguing about getting me another room for the night.
My plan was the extend my stay a couple extra nights. Even though the toilet began uncontrollably overflowing in the THIRD room. I sent my partner to the front desk, and the woman who was working agreed that since we've had several issues with our rooms, we should get a discount. But she couldnt extend out stay until morning, and we would get 10% off the remainder of our stay.
The next morning, the man from yesterday was at the desk. He refused to honor the discount. I then asked for a refund, our stay was less than satisfactory, and while I was willing to stay at a discounted price, I am not willing to pay for a weekend of being belittled by staff and stress.
He refused to refund me, and called the manager. I was there while he was on the phone and gave completely incorrect information to his manager. He lied about my experience, and then shushed me while I tried to correct him. He then told his manager to not come in until I check out, otherwise he'd have to listen to me whine.
It was humiliating.
My partner and I have stayed at this establishment several times, we never once complained, or asked to switch rooms, nothing! The blatant disrespect towards your customers, as well as the obvious disregard for the upkeep of the facility...
Read moreThe hotel has two sides. On the Left (west side) if facing the building are the Smoking, Outdated, rooms that are rented out to homeless people placed there from the state and extended stay members. The rooms are disgusting. On the Right side (east side) the rooms are upgraded (still not great) The pictures on 3rd parties show the upgraded rooms so on May 9th I booked a room because it was cheaper. At check-in when I realized they were sending me to the west side of the hotel to a smoking room I quickly refused the room. I asked for a room on the east side that are non-smoking. Andre told me for an extra $40 dollars I could have that room for the 2 night stay. Obviously I declined. I was told I would not be charged and that I could contact the 3rd party (super.com) for my refund. What I found out later; He waited til I left, pulled the reservation from super.com so they get paid and avoided every call from Super.com to confirm my refund thereafter. When Shrey Gajjar was eventually reached he denied my refund on the grounds I stayed both nights. He spoke to me several times claiming he was uniformed of the situation and was getting to the bottom of it throughout June. Told me July 11th he responded to the 3rd party on July 10th and I was going to be refunded. He knew his intention was to keep my money and so did I. He’s a scammer and I watched him lie to me when I knew the truth setting Shrey up to report him to the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs. He was saved today when Super.com showed amazing customer service by refunding me despite his denial and the fact I never asked them for a refund; This hotel is THAT BAD
The GM is Shrey Gajjar and he is there Monday-Friday. (I attached his card) If you informed them of bed bugs and it was not immediately rectified within 24 hours they are in violation of the law and will be fined $5000 and obviously the comments show they have violated that law. You will be fully refunded. If you complained of Bed Bugs to no response scammed or you were scammed out of money contact The NJ Department of Consumer Affairs and file a complaint and it may take some time but they will investigate. They need to be...
