If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This place has awful customer service, zero concern for guests comfort, and is EXTREMELYYYYY FILTHY. Started by me calling a few days ahead of our arrival date to check and make sure the reservation was all set. The guy on the phone was not only rude and annoyed I was calling, but told me twice our reservation was not there. When I asked him to please triple check and respelled my name for the third time, he said he found it and hung up. (We should have known then to cancel). When we check in we find one of our bed sheets are dirty with stains and what looked like cigarette burns all over. We unpacked our items and before we left for the evening, asked the front desk to change the sheets. The front desk guy said he needed us to show him the problem and he took a picture, odd. He then said he would take care of it. We returned to the hotel 6 hours later with the same sheets on the bed. When my boyfriend went up to the front desk to see why they hadn’t been changed, the same employee said they weren’t changed because housekeeping isn’t here. My boyfriend asked if he could do it for us then and he got loud and told him that’s not his job. He asked if we could just have the new sheets and change them ourselves and he said they weren’t “even that dirty”. It took about 5 minutes of back and forth and the employee trying to argue with us for us to finally get clean sheets. The room itself was disgusting. We had to wear socks because it’s not carpeted like they advertised, so when we walked around bare foot our feet literally turned black from the filth on the floor. The bathroom was covered in grime, so much so we had to go out and purchase shower shoes. I attached a picture of how nasty it was. One morning, house keeping knocked and asked to come in, I let her know we didn’t need anything but fresh towels, she said they were all in the wash. 4 hours later we never got the fresh towels so I had to go ask the front desk for some. She was only able to give me 2 (even though we had 3 people staying in our room) and said the rest were in the wash. Had to go back the next morning and was finally able to get a third towel, but they didn’t have any more wash cloths. The next morning we needed fresh towels, wash cloths, hand towels, toilet paper and another fresh pair of sheets. We piled up all the towels and old sheets and wrote a note asking for more TP and we left to get out of housekeepings way. When we got back that evening everything was still as it was when we left. I asked the front desk why our room was missed for house keeping and she said we didn’t order room service. I said im not talking about room service, im talking about house keeping coming through and taking old towels and replacing with new, emptying the trash and replacing TP. She said they don’t have house keeping on the weekends. This is not only unsanitary but absolutely ridiculous to not only advertise for daily house keeping but to just leave guests to fend for their own on the weekend. When I asked for all the things we needed she said she could get me sheets but it would be a while for towels. When we got the towels 2 had stains on them. The lady was rude and just kept repeating that the weekends are their busiest time so they can’t do house keeping on all the rooms. Poor management that caused your lack of staff shouldn’t effect a guests ability to have the “daily house keeping” you advertise. When checking out the girl at the front desk had me and another gentleman waiting for 5-10 minutes while she not only talked to her friend / coworker, but helped her load hotel blankets and towels into her car. I actually couldn’t believe my eyes. Oh, and the continental breakfast they offer was luke warm coffee. No food....
Read moreI stayed at the Super 8 in Pennsville NJ from September 13-14, 2023.
The property was extremely dirty, but the room itself wasn't too bad. The place is very rundown.
The staff are extremely unpleasant. Checking in there were 3 people behind the desk but two left to sit in the area next to the lobby to chat with each other as well as the one person working. We signed, paid and went to the room.
Next day we went to shower, only to find there is no hot water. My partner attempted to call the front desk however the room phone didn't work so he used his cell. The person at the desk explained that the hot water tank(s) are out and no room has hot water.
At check out, the same person who checked us in was working. They were on their cellphone and paid no attention to us at first. Once they recognized we were checking out, they took the key card and I asked when the hot water tank stopped working. The worker said yesterday. Seeing as we checked in around midnight, I asked why we were not made aware of this issue when we checked in. They stated they did not know when we checked in 9 hours prior. They apologized for the inconvenience and told us we were checked out. I requested a copy of my reciept as I wasn't given one on arrival. As they were pulling up my information to print, another phone call came in on their cellphone to which they answered. When the reciept printed, it was laid in front of me and pointed to but no words spoken, as they were talking on the phone rather than the guests in front of them.
I'm extremely disappointed in my experience. I have never felt as if I were such a disturbance than I did upon walking into this hotel and especially after the check out experience. The person at the desk offered absolutely no help, no refund or discount. If this is how Wyndham runs their hotel brands then I will no longer be a patron of yours. I will be sure to share my experience with others as well so they do not end up paying for such "amenities" and attitudes by staff.
Not to mention, breakfast is displayed as an amenity in all areas for this particular hotel and there were no breakfast offerings, but given the amount of dirt I'm not too sure I'd want to eat...
Read morePlease stay away from Pennsville NJ Super 8. The owner treated majority of the nuclear workers for the Hope Creek outage with rude comments, disrespectful, and demeaning statements. I witnessed her saying "Some people expect something for nothing" as the paying guest walked away. I was told no room service but witnessed other rooms getting serviced. Some of us were treated with such disrespect by the front desk staff. When asked for towels and bedsheets changeout, many of us were given dingy and stained ones in exchange. I personally saw guests of much lighter complexions be given snow white clean towels. When I asked for extra coffee bags, was told that I needed to come to front desk everyday. I watched the manager call the police on a young lady and her cat to come remove them off her property. I mentioned calling to get her help since her boyfriend abandoned her there. She told me that was not her concern and she didn't want someone like that hanging around her property. I wish I had known who to call myself but I was on my way to work. While paying one of my weekly payments, as the manager was training a new hire, he charged my weekly room the full balance due. When she corrected the charge it was then pending 2 weeks payments. When I was informed of layoffs, I told the manager 1 week in advance that my job was ending May 9th. I was told to leave keys in room. and when I called on May 19th to see why my Wyndham points were not showing, I was informed that the hotel had me still showing as staying there. I called and the manager began screaming at me that I didn't tell her that I was checking out. The call ended with her hanging up. I checked my bank account and she put a charge for $993.30. I contacted my bank to dispute the charges. I am prepared to get my legal team involved if necessary. IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS, Wyndham Rewards stated that since the hotel won't declare my stay as "qualified" no points can be given. YOU HAVE...
