We booked a two-night stay. The first night, I woke up around 1:30 and there were two inches or more of water on the floor. I started mopping it up with towels and ringing them out in the tub and then thought it might be toilet water (but I did not know for sure). I called the front desk. The worker brought me another stack of towels. I told her that I would need more and didn't know what to do with the towels when I was finished because I wanted to shower in case I had been messing around in toilet water. She told me to put them in the hallway (which is carpeted). I showed her how wet (dripping) the towels were and told her it probably wasn't a good idea to put them on a carpeted floor. She brought me more towels and a garbage bag so I could put them in the hall. I asked to be moved but they were out of nonsmoking rooms. The nonsmoking room we were in already smelled like smoke so I did not want to chance a smoking room. Maybe she didn't offer help because she was working alone, but I was left to my own and the floor full of water. The rest of the night and next morning, we did not use the toilet for fear the water had come from it.
We were moved late the next day, sometime after 2:00. That room was fine, but both beds were worn out. They were like sleeping in hammocks and hard to get out of. This room did not smell like smoke like the other had.
I understand that some things cannot be predicted and the employees likely did the best they could, but to have to spend over an hour to clean up a bathroom floor full of water in the middle of the night hardly qualifies as a relaxing stay.
A final note of improvement is that there are far too few places to sit at breakfast. I am not sure how to remedy this in the available space.
The breakfast workers did an excellent job and the rooms were very clean (other than the smoke smell that likely came from other rooms).
The beds in 307 need to be replaced.
I was going to contact the manager of the hotel, but there is no email address available. Both problems were reported...
Read moreJust had THE MOST unprofessional experience here. The general manager Alexis Taylor needs a different job if she doesn’t want to be at work. I do events all the time in Peoria & usually I’m asked to refer people to different locations. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. They have a policy that they do not rent to people within a 50mile radius of “Peoria” ? I’ve rented here before as I have multiple addresses it’s usually not a problem but Alexis Taylor was ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS to deal with. PLEASE PEOPLE EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT FROM PEORIA, DO NOT GO HERE, ITS NOT WORTH THE EXPERIENCE OF UNPROFESSIONALISM!! Also, almost forgot.. when I asked to provide the information she yelled “I WONT RENT TO YOU!! IM CALLING THE POLICE !” Called the police on me, I called them myself just to give them the experience of what happened.
Update: I can’t reply to their reply so I’ll just say this.. “to ensure a certain atmosphere” so you’re based in Peoria but “locals” are not the respective customer base and when presented with the question “my paperwork is in Georgia, what else can I use?” Was responded with “I WON’T RENT TO YOU! I’M CALLING THE POLICE!” No, the policy wasn’t the issue, the issue is the general manager. I’ve been back and forth in and out of state since my dad passed so to be treated like that was absolutely again, HORRENDOUS. This place needs new management & next time I’m asked to give input on Peoria hotels to the companies I work with I WILL NOT...
Read moreUnfortunately my short stay at the Quality Inn and suites Hammond Indiana was not what I expected or worth what I paid. There was an incident with a soiled comforter which I expressed multiple times I would pay for. With that being said the way the matter was handled was very classless and down right mean. After coming back to our room to go to bed around 1am we discover the TV is not programmed. I then proceed to call front desk and ask for help. The manager came into the room shortly after and fixed the issue. 2 hours later I call for a new comforter and sheet about 5 min go by and the manager comes to get the soiled bedding. About 30 min after that around 4am I recieved a call from the front desk asking for me to come down. When I get there the manager informs me of the hotel protocol for damages to hotel property. I proceed to ask questions to which he responded angrily repeating himself. Saying "im trying to be nice here I don't want your money". He then proceeds to accuse me of smoking in the hotel room he had just been in 2 hours before and is right on the first floor directly across from the desk. I walked away and went back to the room where my boyfriend and I slept with NO SHE ET AND NO COMFORTER. I wake up the next morning to the worst continental breakfast I have ever had at any Quality inn thus far. Then I shower and prepare to check at 1045 bags in hand open the door and the managers wife is in the doorway with gloves on ready to...
