Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Peoria

We stopped by late after a concert to something to eat. There were only about 2 tables with people at them when we got there. Staff saw us walk in and said she would be right with us...meaning in 10 minutes she meandered over and took us to a seat then gave us menus. Then she disappeared. We finally got to order our food 20 minutes later and then it was another half hour later that our food finally came out. The server never did stop back by our table to check in with us or let us know if there was a delay or anything, we never saw her except once when she stopped and gossiped with the table across the aisle from us, totally ignoring us and we did try to get her attention to find out where our food was. People that had come in well after us had already gotten their food and were nearly done by the time our food showed up. No apologies, no nothing, she just put the plates down on the table and left. Then we didn't see her for another half an hour. The food was awful! It was luke warm at best with most of it being cold, dried out, tasted like it was just left under heat lamps for a good long time and was clearly old.

We never did get our check but were told by the server that she "would take care of you up front when you are ready" and then she watched us get up and walk to the front register and then she disappeared again. We waited for 15 more minutes with no staff in sight and at this point there were still only 3 tables with customers at them, no staff visible. I finally got tired of waiting---I'm not the dine and dash kind of person but all this put me really close to it--and had to go into the kitchen and chase somebody (this server) out just to take my money. Then she laughed like she thought it was all funny. It was not. This was the absolute worst service I have ever had in a restaurant, and we'd eaten here before and it's been fine....

I took my daughter and two grandchildren to Perkins in Peoria yesterday late morning we had the worst waitstaff. I had a dirty knife than a dirty coffee cup. We placed our order it wasn't very busy @10:40 am but it took for ever to get our food, once we did the waitstaff dropped fries all over me passing the plate to my grandchild and than dumped her ranch in a cup all over my eggs. All I heard was sorry, sorry seldom refilled my daughter and I coffee... I had to wait 10 more minutes to get my food after they got theirs and she forgot my hash brown. I told the girl when checking out as she could careless than who appeared to be a Manager came out to hear the rest and offered another I am sorry. I will NEVER take my family to this place again, they could careless about service or dirty dishes. My eggs were over easy to when I asked for over medium,. I am a Manager of 30 yrs I never seen such lack of care or concern for a customer. The fries got stains on my top but well who cares. This place should be rated ZERO but had no choice to give it 1 star it doesn't deserve my bill was 69.45 cents for the worst service ever! I still left her 5 bucks she...

We’re new to the area and decided to check out Perkins for dinner. We arrived around 445pm and it wasn’t busy. We were seated promptly by a woman with dyed red hair. She was super attentive, didn’t have a name badge, wish she did. I believe she was supposed to be a host, but wow within a few minutes that restaurant filled up! And it got busy! The host, with red hair, who seated us, never missed a beat though. She took our order, brought out drinks, checked on us, brought the food, checked on us again. She was running around like crazy, seating families, waiting on families. There were a few other waitresses in there who you could just see/hear were super friendly too! Wow, shocked!! Every employee in that place was just so nice and ran the place smoothly! When we got our check we asked for two pie slices to go and when we went to ring up, another waitress said that our waitress wanted to give them to us for free for a bit of a wait we had! Didn’t even feel we had any wait at any time. We tipped 50%. We will occupy Peoria Perkins more often because of our experience tonight.
