Phoenix Water Park 🛟 Fun, Photogenic, and Kid-Friendly!

Not my favorite place! Got a Pacifico Cabana for a day-cation with my boyfriend. Looked it up in advance and they say the water is kept in the 80s. Not true! I brought a pool thermometer.. it was 74 degrees. Brrrr! It was only about 65-70 outside yesterday so was really counting on warmer water. So I made my way to the hot tub. That was nice. Although I have one at home.. was looking for the full water park experience. And it was packed with people, even kids.. I'm sure because of how cold the water was everywhere else. Okay moving on. My boyfriend decided to try the slide. Came back and asked if I saw anything on his back. Yes! A huge red welt! He thought oh well, maybe he went down wrong or something. Not the case. Talked to two teenagers in the hot tub. Both had bruises on their backs forming from going down the slide. Come on.. safety? The wave pool, well it was off I guess because no waves. The lazy river.. well I took it once to get back from the hot tub to my cabana. Even on the raft mostly it was just too cold. I'm sure it would have been nice with warmer water. The staff was nice enough. Food was awful bar food and way over priced. Unless you like $20 nachos. No reasonably healthy items. So we left for lunch. Overall not as advertised. Very unsatisfied. Maybe on a hot day it would be better (if everything is working) it is beautiful and has potential, but I was very disappointed. Not worth the money for a crowded hot tub.

Stayed overnight at the Hotel and got free passes for the waterpark. It was super crowded since we went in the morning during summer. After lunch, less people were there. If you don’t book the cabana, you will have to look for your own chair/spot. Its first come first serve. They have a ton of seats so its not really a problem. Expect to see lots of kids because this is a family waterpark. If you expect to have a relaxing, zen, peaceful experience, this is not the place. Expect kids splashing and giggling and having fun with their family. Wave pool is not super strong because there are babies and toddlers swimming there too. So I think they set it that way to make it kid-friendly. There is an area where you can play water volleyball. It was actually fun to watch. Water temperature is just right. It was warm enough. You wouldn’t want hot water since the Arizona Sun is already hot enough. There is a hot tub for adults if you want hot water still. Lazy river was nice and fun. People lined up and waited for their turn. Staffs were friendly and accomodating. There were a lot of life guards and staff making sure everyone is safe. Towels are provided. The slides were fun too! Will definitely come back.

It was a nice stay but I have my opinions. Upon our booking for 2 nights and 3 days with 6 water park tickets for $504is quite pricey in my opinion. There is a $200 dollar hold on the card you use for the stay in case of damage or usage of the snack bar. Those snacks are so tempting and especially when you have so many little ones with you. I had to hide the snacks and coffee items from the kids because they definitely would have eaten it all up. The room is quite outdated with the furniture they have. Almost like a mid 70s look. Then the tan blanket they have provided for the sofa bed is totally over used and needs to be updated. It’s an old mesh blanket that has been washed and dried for so many times that other people who have use it has their hair stuck to it. We decided to go home and bring our own blanket and queen mattress topper for the sofa bed because it was so so so uncomfortable with springs of metal in every move that you make. The shower has a faucet in the tub that doesn’t like to stop dripping, you have to tighten it very very hard to make it stop. There is rust on the end of the tub next to faucet, they don’t provide extra toilet paper Incase you run out we had to ask the oasis water park staff for house keeping to bring us some because the lady who knocked on our door at 9:30 was asking to do housekeeping but my kids were still sleeping because they were up late, she stated she would be back, but the phone in the room didn’t work so we had to ask personnel to ask house keeping to bring toilet paper. When they came to our room they had brought us a bunch of towels. We set them to bring toilet paper after we had asked them again.

The parking is limited near the rooms. You will need to park unload then drive to an open parking spot 3 min or 5 away from your room. Depending where you’re located. We were right in front of the oasis water park in room c239.

We honestly were not going to purchase food at the resort nor drinks because of how overpriced everything was. I will say! The refrigerator was awesome! I brought Costco salmon Pattie’s, hot dogs, cereals, milk, crackers, cream cheese, 2 Avacados some popsicles, uncrustable peanut butter and jelly snacks and kefir, and I was able to fit it all in the fridge. I had frozen water bottles and Gatorade and I was able to enter the water park with those.

I had to bring a microwave from home and a small conventional oven and wow that helped us get buy feeding our family of 7. It was great.

In all honesty we came for the water park and to bring some joy in our kids for the summer. But for the cost of the room and stay I believe was over priced in my opinion. Others may enjoy the spending and accommodations they have for this resort. But i do think they should think about a room make over and check the air filters more often because ours was very dirty and nasty.

Overall thank you for my kids to have fun in the water park and bringing us joy for these 3 days. We got one more day and we’re going to make the most out of it. Next time we may consider another location. It was fun for...

Don’t get me wrong, this place has great pools and fun slides. But the company overall is racist and rude. I worked there for 4 months and in that time multiple of my white coworkers said the n word and continued to do so around the few colored workers we had (I was one of those colored workers). When someone finally told management they suspended him for a week and then let him come back. Here’s where is gets worse: when the guy came back I told my managers I was uncomfortable that they let him come back with such a small consequence. And in return they replied with “we can’t do anything about it because the n word is an opinion and has no effect”. I was so shocked I was facing this racism in the work place I felt comfortable in that I started crying. They tried to comfort me and tell me that it wasn’t personal but it truly was. What made it all crazier was the fact that before you could start the job you had to take insensitivity training and learn to be respectful to your coworkers based on race, gender, religion, etc. Then my own bosses treat me like this. When I went to HR about what happened they told me they would look into it and help me out but they never did. This place is nice but the company itself I would never shop again and I encourage you all to not support them as well for their treatment towards workers...
