It's actually been approx a year & a half since I stayed at this particular location BUT.... with that being said... the rooms were decent enough. Housekeeping was very nice & gave me extra soaps shampoos etc (seeing that I was in a desperate way at the time) BUT... I had taken my (fur) baby girl there because where we were "living" (with another person) was infested w/ BUGS) and she couldn't eat! So I was trying to get her away from the bugs& overall horrible situation. Well, "he" found me(not which ROOM just the hotel/motel itself. He gave some b.s. story to the front desk to try& find out which room I was in & THEY TOLD HIM!!!! THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! I ended up having to LEAVE because of him. When I didn't cause ANY TYPE of disturbance etc. THEY gave an abuser my room number & then proceeded to ask ME to leave just because he showed up& called the police (I had the truck that he& I share) and in attempting to "control the situation and ME, he called the police, knowing that because the truck was only in HIS name they would force me to "give it back to him" So, this is the /my story of the Redroof Inn on Black Canyon Highway. And unfortunately, I was so distraught that this whole factor of it being against the law to give out some 1's room number didn't even dawn on me until AFTERWARDS! 🙄 I did try calling their SUPPOSED "customer service number " (a cpl diff times) & not only were they not of ANY help whatsoever but they are actually a bit RUDE & blaming. I couldn't believe it! So, let's hope you don't have any type of "issue" while staying here. Otherwise. I'd say all in all the place itself isn't terrible. But the customer service (oh & the EXTREMELY narcissistic security guard who worked there at that time) was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! This guy was actually ABUSIVE to me!! (The reason I called their number) TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. He humiliated me& was Otherwise highly ABUSIVE. And the front desk could CARE LESS!! It was 1 of THEE WORST EXPERIENCES outside of my living situation ever! To top it off, I ended up losing my angel right after this. ...

The images online are superior to what you get in person. The reception area, they are distracted with side conversations. Broken/ disconnected phone. I informed them about it, they said someone would come and fix it, no one has. Raggedy sheets and towels...glad I brought my own towels and rags because there was hair on the towels. The toilet had no cover, so be careful. Found a bed bug in a shirt I had left on the bed, tried to get it off, it clung for its life. Finally got it off and killed it. Will be laundering EVERYTHING prior to setting foot back in my house. If you have small kids I don't recommend bringing them here. This place is riddled with women of the night, which isn't a problem, but they're definitely trying to get clients in the day with their attire and actions and your kids don't need to see that. In the early morning someone kept tapping on my window and door. That could have been a lost person, but I think not. In all my years of traveling with family, this franchise at this specific location has been the only place where this has happened. Did I mention the constant noise? Loud careless neighbors....just loud to be loud. Could not sleep right away. At 4 in the morning, someone was tapping on my window, then my door. Had to yell at them to go away. Left the premises twice, upon returning my door key DID NOT WORK. Had to go to the front office to get it reactivated each time. Scary part is they simply reactivated it and apologized without asking for me to AT LEAST CONFIRM THE NAME/NUMBER associated with the room number. They just asked, "What room are you in?" So in short, you get what you pay for. Poor customer service, inadequate facilities, bed bugs, and your quintessential wafts of weed and debauchery. If your main concern is price over any other discomfort, then this...
Read moreThe young man at the front desk went out of his way and beyond his job description to resolve minor issue I had The first night of my stay. Looking back it was such a silly thing to bother the staff with at the time of night it was, and I'm sure most places they would have told me there's nothing they could do till the next day if at all. Especially since the simplest most convenient solution , switching rooms was not an option due to them being at capacity. At most motels I would have probably been left unhappy for the night and possibly the weekend unless that's simplest resolution made itself available. I was Not expecting anything more than it a hollow apology followed by " there's nothing we can do because we're at capacity. ". However, I was pleasantly surprised when the young man at the front desk made my frivolous complaint top priority and resolved my issue in a timely manner. While the problem I had was a general maintenance problem and no fault of the front desk staff or really any of the employees at the newly purchased property they treated it as if it was a personal obligation to find a solution. I was extremely happy and surprised. If the management is reading this give your front desk agents a pat on the back and maybe a bonus, they definitely earned it! Especially this specific employee that tended to the issue first hand. There should be more people in customer service who find it fulfilling to satisfy customers... Seems like it should be a requirement for that type of job but we all know it is frighteningly rare! Also, the gentleman that assisted me is one of the most polite men I've ever met. He made me feel like maybe chivalry...
